So, I used to be a solid Dunkin' Donuts fan. Then, one day, it was really cold out and I didn't want to walk all the way to Dunkin', so I stopped at Starbucks instead. And my God was the coffee better. In fact, better is an understatement; it was truly shocking how good it was. I have not had a single Dunkin' Donuts coffee since. Then, I was on a road trip and there was another Starbucks along the way, and I tried the coffee there and it just wasn't as good. So, not only is Starbucks better, this particular Starbucks is superior to at least one other Starbucks. Also, in terms of service, the baristas there are amazing. I have autism so I can be a little clueless on how to act sometimes, but they (without even knowing I was autistic) calmly and friendily told me what I was supposed to do. They guided me through the ordering process, and it all worked out and I got my sandwich and coffee. Now I know how to order my grilled cheese and medium iced coffee with caramel, so I don't need to stand there frozen in fear because I don't know what to do lol. As for the ambiance, this Starbucks is nice and quiet and the lights are neither too bright nor too loud. I highly, highly recommend this Starbucks if you live near it and want coffee. read more

This Starbucks sucks. Two days in a row the mobile app said blonde roast was out. So I went inside and it was not out. I informed them twice the app says it's out and the assured me they would fix it. Fast forward a month and yup you guessed it.... They didn't fix it. I don't have time for this. What's the point of even having a Mobile order if you aren't going to keep it up to date? They have made it abundantly clear that they don't care. I do not care to support this Starbucks. read more

I mobile ordered at 1 pm on a Saturday. When I got there it was fairly empty. It still took 17 min for them to make my drink. And it wasn't complicated. I just got tea. they could have handed me the tea packet and a cup of hot water in 2 seconds and been done with it. They also made me the wrong croissant. The older Indian man who works there looks like he hates everyone who walked through the door and some of them were sitting around not working just chatting behind the bar. There were easily 5 people who piled up, some just wanting an americano. Also the pastry shelf was almost empty as was the merchandise. Maybe they were waiting on a shipment? I liked how much seating there was and it was pretty clean. But I'd go to the other Watertown location on main st instead. read more

I don't know how many times I've paid for "extra" stuff (caramel etc) on the mobile app to show up and the barista just makes the drink standard however they feel. Confused. This is a great Starbucks location for the office peeps in the area (I'm one of 'em). I've never had a problem here; service is great, and staff and really nice and friendly. I was interested in a hazelnut macchiatto and didn't want to buy it because I thought I'd hate it - the barista guy made me a short sample, and I was very impressed (both with the offer to give me a sample and the sample of course). This morning I got a chicken sausage breakfast wrap to go with my tall iced coffee. It was the lighttest, tastiest breakfast wrap I've ever tasted. This is where I come every morning for my daily dose of caffeine before work. I've been going to this location for over a year now, but this review is based solely on me using the mobile app since that's the only way I order now. It can definitely get very busy and the line is sometimes out the door so if you order in person, it may take a while to get your morning coffee. The customer service I've had here has always been excellent. All of the staff are very friendly and accommodating. I've only ever had one order made incorrectly here, but they are great about rectifying the situation by remaking your order on top of offering a small gift card for the inconvenience. Only reason they get 4 instead of 5 stars is because it's not as spacious as other Starbucks I've been to. I most likely wouldn't come here on the weekends to sit and chill with a friend. If you park here and walk off the premises for any reason, your car can get towed and it will cost $131 cash to get it back. Happened to me. Most expensive tall chai I've ever had. Also cost an additional $2 for the ATM fee to get the cash, plus about thirty minutes to go to the ATM and walk to where he towed it and get my car. The parking lot was empty at the time, just a few cars and dozens of empty spaces, and I was back in less than an hour, so the only reason he had to tow me was to make a quick buck. I went in the starbucks and told them what had happened and they said there's a guy who sits in his truck waiting for people to walk out of the parking lot so he can tow them and make a quick $131. In my opinion, not an honest way to make a living. I expect the tow truck driver gives kickbacks to the commercial real estate owner of the lot. It would be illegal for him to tow me if he didn't have permission from the owner. This owner also gets money from Starbucks and Bertucci's, so I have a reason not give these guys my business anymore. That and given what happened to me I don't think there's any way I can say they have convenient parking. read more

This my favorite Starbucks and ask anyone I LOOOOOOVE Starbucks, more than one person should. The staff here is always great. My coffee is always made just right (I'm one of THOSE people most times too, they never make me feel like that person). My visits here are usually later in the day, when most people stop drinking coffee and start drinking booze. A very middle of the road location. Staff were not bad or great. Service was a good speed. The seating area is very small for a coffee shop and I only found one outlet, under a bench, not very accessible. The shop got crowded fast and the service line set-up wasn't very efficient with the placement of the front and back doors. Not too much you can do about that. There is parking in the back, not on the street. Coffee was good, breakfast sandwich was good. There wasn't really anything to make this location stand apart from any other. Overall this Starbucks is nice, the staff is friendly, theres plenty of parking, and the drinks are made well. Ive visited on countless occasions as I worked in the area and the staff is very accommodating. Ive asked for recommendations, a few minutes to decide on drink orders, etc and the staff has always been pleasant compared to other locations I have visited. For me thats surprising as this is in the Newton area where I find some people to be a little too high strung or entitled. The only complaint I have is due to its location in Newton corner near the Mass Pike and a traffic light there is always tons of traffic in the area. Ive seen both cars go in and out a path adjacent to the building rather than entering the parking lot through the larger entrance and I think a sign needs to be put up for entrance or exit only. I say this as Ive seen cars try to enter/exit at the same time and its only large enough to be a one way egress. read more

Let's face it. Starbucks is Starbucks is Starbucks. Their claim to fame is that you can go to any one of them and the drinks will taste the same because they have a strict measuring blah blah blah... So we have to judge Starbucks solely on customer service and this one is a LOSER! My friends and I ordered and went around the counter to sit at the counter and drink our beverages and eat our food. As we sat and ate, one of the employees (small blond angry girl) came up to us from behind the counter and started to put food and a drink in front of my friend and she said "Are you sitting here?" It was quite clear that we were sitting there since, well, we were actually, physically sitting there. We said "Yes" and she let out this giant sigh and rolled her eyes and said "Great" and stormed off! She took off her apron and went into the back and disappeared so I am assuming that she requested the seat to sit at herself! I had to scoop my jaw off the floor to drink my tea! Awful. I can't even add stars for good tea or coffee or hot chocolate because you can get the same at any Starbucks. My advice is to drive to the next location and get your drink without the 'tude. read more

Good location with plenty of parking. I go here A LOT so I've had my fair share of screw-ups but they are usually really good about fixing it for you quickly- no questions asked. One time an employee noticed that something went wrong and gave us comp cards for a free cup before I even had a chance to complain. Awesome customer service. I went in there to get a drink and food (this was at 10am) and I had explained to the woman that I was working across the street so I wouldn't be able to stay and she said that seen as I had done it from the app it would let me know when it was ready (WELL THAT WAS A LIE) I had to keep going in there about five times and leave my work and it was never there !!! Came to this Starbucks during my visit to Newton, MA. I was staying at the Crowne Plaza, which was about a block or two away. The place is just like the Starbucks back in my home state (California). I even ordered the same drink I always get! It has a handful of tables to study, as well as a bench near the back of the store. I worked here before and used to really like the coffee,guess it was a hype for a while cool interesting and sweet drinks and always with tons of people-however management changes a lot in this shop and I notice different workers every couple of weeks meaning some new person have no idea what to do when it comes to making coffee. The starbuck at this location is messy and chaotic. And the worst part is their customer service - most people here aren't just that friendly. There is rarely any hello to greet the customers and hardly any apology when they made mistake to your drink or "accidentally" charge you more. I worked near the location and always bought my coffee to go so I try not to be bother by those bad factors . However, today the guy who made my drink called me cheating in front of awaiting customer for ordering a Customize Your Starbucks Drink which he believed I have to pay more as something else. I was embrassed and brought this up to the store manager Jane or Jean who basically ignored my complain about the inappropriate treatment to a paying customer. I will definitely not going back to this starbuck location. And if you do come here - always check your drink and charges and hopefully you will have a different experience than I did. read more

This Starbucks location is horrible. I frequented this place a few times back in 04/12 while stayed at a hotel near by for a one week business trip. A staff person there actually went up to me and complained that I put "too much half and half milk" into my coffee one morning when I stopped by for a quick coffee. WTF?!
