This is probably the the worst location I've ever seen. In addition to the terrible service, I'm having trouble understanding why this location can close hours before the posted closing time?? Talk about infuriating. read more

Well, they tried. The employees were nice. They keep the location clean, which I'd imagine might be a challenge with a bunch of I-95 drivers passing through. But, I waited a bit longer than I expected for my drink only to get a grande when I'd ordered a venti. I noted the issue, they offered to fix it, I waited another five minutes or so before telling them that I'd rather take the grande for the venti price and get back on the road. They apologized again and offered to make my drink immediately... Had I cared more, I believe they would have gotten me the right thing right away. None of the shortcomings were willful, but I still opted to hit the road with my grande. My memory is a bit hazy on the details, but I remember having a similar issue on a past trip. The staff members seem to mean well, and the experience could be a lot worse, but "Meh. I've experienced better." read more

Look at this half filled latte, what a ripoff! It's funny, the guy in front of me actually complained about the same thing and demanded a new one. I honestly thought he was a whining jerk, until I am three miles away in the car, and noticed the same darn thing happened to me! Uggghhh, as if Starbucks isn't overpriced enough that they are pulling this scamming stuff. Not to mention they are soooooo slow here. I actually went inside thinking it would be faster. You would think they would minimize their non-work related conversations with numerous disgruntled customers. Nope, gabbing away, stopping what they are working on to finish telling their latest gossip. Just wow! read more

Starbucks - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Newark, Delaware

Nice to have good quality coffee like Starbucks at a rest stop but they seem to be pretty slow considering the amount of people working at this store. I guess beggars cannot be choosers here. Definitely a contrast from the NYC Starbucks stores. My drip coffee was good. read more

Of all the Starbucks I've been to this is THE slowest. Save yourself the trouble and just go to the one in the rest stop. The line might be intimidating in the rest stop but it actually moves faster some how. read more

Horrible service. Staff is beyond rude and the drive thru is always not working. They are constantly dismissive and out of things that the app says they have available. Waste of time and puts me in a bad mood every time I visit this store. read more

They have friendly and happy staff here. I think her name is Taiesha? She's lovely! I had my non-sweet chai and this was so good! I have tried many flavors from Starbucks a while ago when this is the only brand I used to drink. It tastes great when having it once a while. You can't go wrong with Starbucks brand. This location is very good too. read more

Walked in and was warmly greeted by Esme! She was able to get my drinks mixed and everything ready super quick. She even adjusted my drink to meet my moms picky tastes. It's always nice to get good service but especially nice at 8:30 at night. Collin, Ed and Kel were busy cleaning up but did take time to say hi. read more

Absolutely terrible, gave us the wrong food because they were out of what we ordered and didn't think to let us know that and instead tried to just give us different food thinking we would not notice till we already left. My ice coffee which is supposed to cold was warm and seemed like they just put ice into a hot coffee. Staff was rude and took 20 minutes for two cars to get through drive through. read more

I don't give many 1-star reviews, but this place is the slowest Starbucks...wait, let me rephrase...the slowest coffee shop I've ever been at in my life. Cashier/manager was pleasant, but it took fourteen minutes to get through the line as they had ONE inept barista working read more

If you've read through the other reviews, you know I'm not exaggerating when I tell you this is the SLOWEST Starbucks you'll ever go to. Seriously don't even try if you're slightly rushing. Is any management going to see these reviews and DO SOMETHING about this? I can see this place getting less and less popular for this reason, people are tired of it and not coming back. read more

There weren't many cars when we got to the drive thru so I thought we'd be through quickly. I had also placed a mobile order. The car in front of us is at the speaker for 5 minutes or more. Then we finally get to the speaker and we get asked to hold on a minute. Over 5 minutes go by. We tell them we had a mobile order and get told to pull forward. The car ahead of us has been just sitting at the window for about 10 minutes now while we're still waiting. Don't even care about the quality of the coffee at this point - this wait was ridiculous. Don't ever come here if you are pressed for time or in a rush. read more

This is one star for this location. Everybody knows Starbucks so I'm not going to rate the whole chain. This Starbucks is unacceptably slow. The lines are long and they crawl along. It's so slow you may even miss getting back on your bus. F minus. Slowest Starbucks I've ever been to. read more

Just left Starbucks here and am very disappointed with the customer service. As my mother ordered her food, a young female with blonde hair and light colored eyes rudely pointed at the sandwiches and said "which one, they all have names." She also kept agreeing to things we ordered and in the end they didn't come out as we ordered them. I asked for an ombré pink drink and got the regular. We asked for no bacon and she didn't even tell us that they couldn't take the bacon off. Towards the end of the transaction we didn't receive our receipt; in a rudely manner she handed the change back towards my mother. Fun part, when we were leaving we asked the same young lady for a spoon. She didn't say anything, and basically threw the spoon across the counter. But I observed as she was helping a white gentleman she was extremely nice towards him. This is not okay because it's shows racism. I will stick to the Starbucks back in Maryland because this was really the worst experience ever. read more

Horrible service !!! Manger with horrible attitude!!! They stock bad food in your bag

Starbucks - Bad service I ever had ! - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Newark, Delaware

My first visit to this particular Starbucks was not the best. I normally stick to what I know especially with place that make my food or drinks to perfection. I was not in my normal area so I decided to give this location a try ( all Starbucks are not the same). I was there fairly early due to my commute to work. I ordered my normal Salted Caramel Mocha however I got what tasted like ONLY steamed milk. Imagine my disappointment considering I was on the road and away from the establishment when I discovered this. Although my drink was not correct my barista was very pleasant and nice for it to be 6:30am. I will give it another shot, I haven't totally canceled out this location yet. I still say it's worth a try read more

There are actually two Starbucks at this Welcome Center now. One inside the Welcome Center and another in a new, stand-alone building (with a drive-thru) closer toward the northbound exit. Both locations have the same address, so consider this review to be for both of them. The one inside the Welcome Center gets 2 stars. The new one gets 4, so I'm averaging them out at 3. I think the reason the new one was constructed is BECAUSE the location inside the Welcome Center sucks so bad. It's basically a kiosk that was constructed smack-dab in the middle of all the chaos so you never know where the line begins or ends. It has taken me up to 10 minutes just to place my order here and up to 15 minutes from the time I started waiting until the time my drink was prepared. The new location, however, provided a much more pleasant experience. I was in and out in probably about 2 minutes, but all I ordered was black coffee, so take that as you will. If all you need is coffee and a bathroom, avoid the madness inside the Welcome Center and go to the new stand-alone Starbucks, the goal of which seems to be to pull some of the foot traffic out of the Welcome Center. read more

**This review is for the stand-alone Starbucks in the Delaware Welcome Center parking lot, not the one inside the food court.** I have visited here twice and both times the staff was friendly and helpful. The place is clean and there is seating. There are two independent bathrooms. The one I used was in pretty good condition especially when you take into consideration the rest stop locality. Both times getting an iced green tea frap was easy and the results were delicious. Both times I asked for no whip cream and both times it was taken care of easily. There is a drive through so if you get food in the main building you can visit this Starbucks drive through before hitting the road again. The staff here made a real difference for me. I don't imagine they have many regulars and I completely appreciate that being friendly and helpful to a two time visitor holds very limited value. Lets be honest, I'm not hopping on the road and driving up to Delaware for my next frap. What I can do is tell folks about this location and encourage them to visit this location as they embark on the I-95 east coast driving experience. This stand alone Starbucks and its friendly staff is its own caffeinated oasis alone the I-95 corridor. read more

Worst Starbucks in America. The bathrooms were so disgusting and you couldn't even use them because the employees used them to vape in instead. While you inch up in the slowest Starbucks like known to man when you arrive at the "employee" they have fully run of our Cold Brew and...coffee. This wasn't a prank-all 20 employees decided to stare around standing there waiting for their shift to be over. If you'd like coffee you'd be better mixing mud and water together on the side of 95 then go into whatever drug front this place is masquerading to be. read more

After the Chili Dog at Nathan's, it was time for my U.S. RDA of caffeine, and so over to the Starbucks I went - needed to keep the eyelids propped open for a few more hours - so an iced, triple shot, sugar free vanilla latte was desperately needed! Starbucks - Long line today. - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Newark, Delaware

There were about 8 people on shift just standing there as this guy was having a problem, there was another register there that they wouldn't open as this cashier wouldn't help him out, and it just felt like they were making their own problems. From a minimum wage worker to another, these people need to get a hold of themselves, and we weren't even in a rush these people just didn't know what they were doing. Oh and I get my drink back and it tastes like cigarettes so they probably haven't changed their coffee filter. Very pretty store though, only a few coffee stains on the floor. Get some people who know how to work at a starbucks in the middle of 95? read more

If you want to be disappointed every single time you come to a Starbucks, this is the location you'd be looking for. Not only have I gotten into arguments with the baristas here... this location is by far the slowest at making even an iced water. This location is so trash that I literally created a yelp account just so I can talk about how terrible this place is at anything. I'd rather drive 2 miles in a different direction just to avoid getting a headache. I also filed numerous complaints about this location and never received a resolution. A joke to put it all in simpler terms. read more

Convenient location, but Starbucks need to install some sound absorbing tiles in here. Can hear the counter staff laughing and talking clearly, not what I want for a rest stop. Starbucks - Inside. - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Newark, Delaware

This place is terrible .. they don't bother open the inside because they are lazy !!!!! Please put a Dunkin here instead.

A rest stop Starbucks is not my favorite option, however, when you have been on the road awhile a hot cup of coffee sounds like heaven. Because this Starbucks is at a rest stop the lines and crowds can be a bit much. You will also encounter people that are not used to Starbucks which add to wait times and your frustration level as the barista explains the menu to each person in front of you. Barista's are friendly and try their best to be as efficient as possible. Once ordered my coffee took longer than normal than normal to be made and was not the quality or consistency one expects from Starbucks. It meets the need but is far from what you would expect from a traditional Starbucks. If you need a cup of coffee, this location will fit the bill, nothing more. read more

Absolutely horrible experience!!! Me and my family are on our way to new york and passed by the drive- thru. Since we started giving our order the man taking the order was laughing and being super rude. We got to the window and a girl throwing milk cartons around we could see the inside was a disaster. After 15 minutes waiting for 4 drinks the drinks looked and tasted like they didn't contain any espresso at all! The door was locked to come inside and even be able to say anything. Don't recommend at all. read more

TINY sign on the door that says only drive-thru is open. This location is missing tons of walk-in business from those of us sitting and charging our cars. Chatting with the other electric car owners while we waited, all agreed would be nice to get a coffee and snack _while_ our car is charging. (And of course it's possible to walk through the drive through.) While we were waiting, someone had the bright idea to order drinks on the strbx app... but by the time we got thru the line, the drinks were cold. We ordered through the drive through. Marie had an attitude while we ordered and when we got to the window, we told her that the drink she gave us wasn't ours and she said that was our order. How is she going to tell us what we ordered? She also charged us for it and then blamed us after we told her that it wasn't our order. The line wasn't long at all.... how could you get that wrong? She was absolutely rude even though she was in the wrong. read more

this was such a tragic experience. my milk was chunky and i showed the barista and she just looked at me and said "ew chunko". Ashley was really rude to my family. We were trying to be polite and we asked for a reward and she immediately snapped back at us. We were given the wrong drinks- they were not even prepared well. They were chunky and not mixed at all. I usually love Starbucks and I love the service but this was mind blowing and totally ruined Starbucks for me. I am appalled by the service and the lack of any kindness that I found at any previous Starbucks. We also asked for no straws and they were thrown into our car. We felt unwelcome and felt like we had to leave immediately. read more

I stopped there today and was fully disgusted. I needed breakfast. Ordered the oatmeal for 'here' but the server assured me they were out of the dried fruit topping. I didn't know what to say so I'm sure she translated my glare. She found it when she made a little effort. My bill was over $7 for oatmeal and a coffee. She assured me the price was correct. I could not believer there was not one clean table. There was a high top which was totally gross and three two-tops, once of which I cleaned myself before sitting down. Totally disgusting. To boot, started getting a mouthful of coffee grinds when I was about 1/2 way through my coffee at work later. I have never had such a bad experience at a Starbucks or any other coffee joint for that matter. I will be taking back my coffee grinds tomorrow for a refund. read more
