Fast, friendly service creating desserts that will fill you up with yummy flavors such as Matcha and Thai Tea! Always prefer to get the Floteas rather than the Mason jars, just feel like you get do the same thing with the Floteas; creating a drink with some delicious soft serve with bubble tea below. Decided to change things up a little bit with the Matcha/Taro Swirl and get Thai Tea below instead of the Taro Bubble Tea that I got last time. Finished it off with an Angel Finger that was a nice crunchy contrast to the swirls of tart matcha and sweet taro. The location was slowly getting busier on a hot summer night as people were roaming Main St near the University of Delaware. You can probably find a seat inside but with such a nice summer night, you'll want to enjoy it outside while car/people watching!
For a place that boasts their specialty is ice cream, they do not disappoint! While they are a little pricy, you are receiving the biggest portion that is equally as delicious as attractive. You can choose your flavor, up to four (you read that right, FOUR) toppings and size which range from normal to just downright huge! Naturally we went big! They have pre made options or make your own allowing for endless possibilities. The staff was helpful, friendly, and patient as we deliberated how to make the best sundae possible. We will definitely be back!
Great addition on Main Street in Newark! Very nice shop with unique soft serve flavors, floats and bubble teas. They have signature mason jar sundaes and floateas that you can order or you can create your own. For a more simple treat, you can order soft serve in a cone or cup, as well as milkshakes - With or without toppings and add ins. The shop is spacious and inviting if you want to eat there. The staff was very friendly and helpful!
Super cool spot, something that isn't found anywhere else on Main street. Ice cream was very good, I'll definitely come back here !
I walked in and it was a nice lounge feeling, nobody was hardly in there which took me by surprise . I love the ambiance of the place just a little dark! Service: The young lady who waited on me was super helpful as it was my first visit into this establishment. Love the medium. Food: I went with a small cup of the Monster Cookie, with cookie dough topping and brownie! I loved my experience and look forward to returning !
New addition to Main Street. Soft serve ice cream, bubble tea, or better yet both combos infused into one. First time here and sweet young lady behind the counter gave an introduction to their menu. Ended up getting a Floatea, Thai Milk Bubble Tea with Vietnamese Iced Coffee Ice Cream. Good flavors, but a little too much boba for me. My husband enjoyed the Matcha, but he wasn't too fond of Taro flavor. Next time we will opt for a cup of soft serve. It was a bit too much for us to finish in one sitting. If you purchase their Mason Jars Special and reuse their jars every visit, you'll receive a $1 off.
Randomly found this place and I'm so happy I did! We tried their Vietnamese coffee and earl grey swirl ice cream in the mason jar with biscoff cookies and boba bubbles for $10.75. You get to keep the mason jar too! They let you choose up to 4 toppings. Not only was it IG pic perfect, it was delicious too. Not too sweet, which I appreciate! I really enjoyed the flavors individually and all together for a great texture. The viet coffee was true to taste and the earl grey was a light flavor, very enjoyable! We shared one mason jar between 3 people, def more than enough. Service was great, it was our first time and they patiently explained their whole menu and let us try ice cream samples. I would def come back! I only wish they had mochi as an option for toppings.
Omg how cute is this place!? First of all the inside is much larger than a traditional ice cream shop. I'm not sure if they make their own ice cream (i'm assuming so since it's a creamery). Anyway I ordered the earl grey vanilla it's so good! I'm not a fan of tea so I was a little nervous it would have a strange after taste but it wasn't. This ice cream is naturally light rather than heavy like cold stone. They only have soft serve which is a plus for me. But beware for those hard ice cream scoop lovers. Boba Tea is also on their menu if you're into that as well. This is a unique place and I can't wait to come back. They were quite busy for ice cream in January and I can see why!
I got the Earl grey floatea which was delicious, my aunt got the matcha, also delicious, but my cousin got the Thai and Vietnamese coffee floatea(not pictured) which I thought was out of this world! Wanting to go again to get it, beyond delicious! Service was good, fairly friendly and fast. Ambiance was relaxing even though I brought my whole family there(15 people). Overall 10/10
Incredible ice cream bubble tea float!! I have never had one before and now my life is changed. It is definitely big enough to share among three people. Can't wait to come back and try more flavors.
We just discovered this place on Main Street next to Kung Fu Tea. We were originally going to come here for ice cream and then go next door for boba but we discovered that this creamery was a unique fusion of ice cream and boba tea so it was a one stop place. We loved the brown sugar boba and the cups are very sturdy compared to the competition. Today I had a Float-Tea with almond ice cream, which is plant based, and brown sugar boba. I found out that the mix was lactose free so it is a win-win for me. The almond ice cream was very sweet and not overpowering in combination with the brown sugar boba. Will definitely come back.
The restaurant itself is a very nice surprise in itself, with me expecting an ice-creamery instead of a mix including boba. But it was a lovely surprise. I'm going to start with the place itself. The place is a comfortable place to be in, with the chairs higher, letting my feet dangle. And it has very lovely sofas along with it to lounge in while you enjoy the food. The food, although I didn't try the whole menu is decently made. The boba has the chewy, sugary texture, that I like to have with any boba I try. The tea is not my favorite, perhaps a little muddled from the brown sugar boba. But overall, not the worst. And I was served by a very patient server, Angelina. Who, even while cleaning and obviously busy, answered my questions regarding the food;which was greatly appreciated. Overall. The place itself was a delightful experience and I would enjoy dining once again.
Huge fan of the ice cream here! The ice cream tasted very creamy and fresh. There was a lot of room and seating. It was definitely busy but didn't feel congested at all. The service was great and fast. Ill definitely be making a trip back here.
The service is always great here. Everyone seems so cheerful and were very helpful with their recommendations. The ice cream also came out pretty fast. Both ice creams were great! the texture was extremely creamy, and the flavors of the ice cream were so delicious, but especially the nom nom cookie. The ice cream was also very tall! The toppings complimented the flavors well. You should definitely get the nom nom cookie and chocolate blackout! The vibe of this place was very cheerful and fun, which matched the ice cream. We were also provided with jar lids so we could take leftovers home and drink them as milkshakes. read more

Delicious! We went for ice cream & I wanted bubble tea from a place down the street but when we walked in, not only did they have ice cream AND bubble tea but Flo-tea's which is a combination of both. Best of both worlds. Service was quick. We arrived & no one was there but we were greeted immediately. Please kind of looked like a lounge. We sat across from the large tv where there are three black couches which comfortably sat my party of 6. Highly recommend if in the area read more
I've been wanting to try this place for a while now, and I am so glad I got the chance to! The workers here are super friendly and helpful. The inside of the place is very modern, but has a cozy feel to it. And most importantly, their desserts are AMAZING!! I ordered to Taro bubble tea with taro and matcha swirl ice cream! It was absolutely phenomenal! Everyone in our group was satisfied with their order. They are a bit pricey I will say so beware of that. My "flotea" was a little over $10 and if you want the mason jar desserts they are almost $12! But the portions are huge, I was able to stick mine in the fridge for the next day and it still tasted great! Come to Surreal Creamery for unique creations and yummy treats!! read more

A very unique take on ice cream and various kinds of bubble teas! We opted for the "It's My Birthday" mason jar and the FloTea Matcha/Taro swirl with Taro Bubble Tea. These desserts are massive! I'd definitely recommend sharing with someone unless you have a big sweet tooth. The location is tucked away right next to the Barnes & Noble bookstore. The pricing is a little high and UD Creamery is right next door too. However, if you want some ice cream AND bubble tea, it's a nice spot to grab both in one treat! read more

For a place that seems to spend a lot of money on advertisements (I see them everywhere), the actual ice cream they have is just okay. You pay $12 to get a mason jar full of ice cream and toppings. It's not a giant jar but it is a decent size. You also get to keep the jar. Kinda sucks to clean but that's whatever. The disappointment to me was the actual ice cream. We went for the premade options. You can create your own apparently but we wanted to go with one they already had. My husband got the Know Your Roots which comes with Taro Ice Cream, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Chocolate Crunch, Chocolate Syrup, and a Cinnamon Graham Cracker. I got the Nom Nom Cookie which comes with Monster Cookie Ice Cream, Chocolate Crunch, Chocolate Syrup, Cookie Crisp, Marshmallows, and Oreos. I'll say they're great on toppings. They didn't skimp on them and we had plenty. My issue comes with the soft serve. It tastes like nothing. There's absolutely no flavor besides what toppings are mixed in and it's just disappointing. It didn't even taste like vanilla. Or anything. If I'm eating ice cream I expect it to have some taste. Sadly these just didn't. I've heard from other friends they felt the same way but I still wanted to try. Sadly, I don't think we'll be going back. It's nice to know it's there but there are way better creameries around the area with way more flavors that are delicious. read more

Beautiful creations! Flavors to die for! Pricey - yes. But so worth it. I got the Earl Gray ice cream concoction in a mason jar. They give you a huge portion. The ingredients were all delicious. I don't care for sugary cereal so I swapped out one of the toppings for coconut and it was amazing. The young lady that works there was very knowledgeable and nice. Parking in downtown Newark is a bit dicey, be prepared to park in one of the municipal lots or on the street if you can find a space, using one of the parking apps. Definitely worth A stop if you are craving something sweet and delicious read more

Came here for some ice cream after dinner with my fiancé and it was pretty good! Im not a huge ice cream guy, but I love when there are toppings and other syrups on my ice cream it makes it so much better. I thought the interior of the place was modern, clean and a nice place to hangout. Harry potter was also playing on the screen, how could you not love that! The service was quick and the servers were friendly. We ordered chocolate chunk with caramel syrup and lucky charms and fruity pebbles on top. It was good and hit the spot for sure! You also get to keep the mason jar, and they give you a lid for the jar which is nice! My only critiques are that I wish they had more toppings to choose from. It would be nice to have more chocolate like reeses pieces, reeses cups, kit kats and other things of that nature. Also, it is a little pricey, but they give you enough to share and the mason jar definitely goes into the price, but it's still worth it. Overall, we had a great experience here, and I'd definitely come back! read more

If you want boba tea or ice cream this is the place. Not only does everything taste good, but everything looks amazing too. Anything you get in a mason jar here includes the price of the jar, and if you bring it back you'll get money off your next order! Genuinely wowed by the creativity of this place. read more
