Despite the place being really busy, every worker was friendly and hustling to keep the line moving. The sandwich tasted fresh and made to order, the bacon was crispy and generous, and the croissant was soft and buttery, not the usual frozen, microwaved taste you'd get from Dunkin. The latte was smooth and not overly sweet, and the glazed donut was soft, fresh, and exactly what I was hoping for. Overall, this place feels like a step above the big chains, with real ingredients and a more personal touch.

Disappointed Again at Donuts Delight - Customer Service & Quality Slipping…read more This was my second less-than-great experience at this location, and unfortunately, it confirmed a pattern. I went through the drive-thru and was met with rude service from the female staff who took me my order. She seemed irritated and dismissive, and when my order came out completely wrong, there was no opportunity to get it corrected--just a shrug and told the person at the window to push me through. The donuts themselves were just okay--nothing special--and this time they were handed to me upside down and smashed in the box. Both of my coffees were made incorrectly, which was especially frustrating since it's not a complicated order. The one bright spot was the male staff member at the window where I paid. He was kind and clearly doing his best to help, but the overall service and product quality just weren't there. Disappointed to say this might be my last visit unless things seriously improve.

One thing to be aware of is that the ground flooring is very uneven, so it's worth watching your step while walking around. Unfortunately, our date was cut short due to an incident in the surrounding area shortly after we grabbed our coffee and food. Even so, the quality of the drinks, food, and friendly service left a positive impression.

This location is very clean, modern and fresh decor/style all in one. They have friendly staff especially the older guy who went out of his way to make my visit a rememberable one. I hope Gregory's will come to the Hartford area one day in the near future.

I had the deluxe breakfast sandwich. The sausage was terrible: tasteless, egg was that foamy egg beater stuff, and the cheese was basically velveeta, and they microwaved it so the croissant was a soggy mess. It had no flavor at all (look at my photo) and looked like a used diaper. My wife had the avocado toast which used plastic bag guac and also had no flavor. And to top it off: no plates at all, we were expected to eat from an aluminum foil wrap and a cardboard box. We also had a cappuccino and a lavender cold brew. The former was milky beyond belief, couldn't taste the espresso, and served too hot; the latter was incredibly sweet. We threw them both out. Again, skip this place. It's horrible. Clearly they're cutting costs by serving low quality repeatable food in easy cheap packaging. They don't respect their customers.

Anyway, since those two are no longer options and I was in the mood for a pick-me-up, I thought I would (finally) check Ebar out. Ebar is located on the first floor level of Nordstrom, not actually in the store but just outside of it. It's super small - standing/ordering room only, but directly adjacent to the spot is large open space with tables and chairs where you can sit and sip. The menu has a variety of coffee-esque and smoothie beverages - what was noticeably missing for me was regular drip and iced coffee. Additionally, they have a few baked goods and confections for sale. I didn't want anything too complicated, so I decided on a cappuccino. I enjoyed the beverage - smooth with a good balance of milk and espresso. Service was good, the employees were friendly enough and my drink was ready relatively quickly. Overall I had a good experience at Ebar - this isn't the mecca of coffee spots, however it serves its purpose and provides the goods in a pinch.
