starbucks to go team!
Stephen M.

What an awesome team on a Saturday! Parade folks swarming the business and the crew smiled and made everybody feel warm! Kudos to the 1971 lady who handles all the logistics of the "to go" orders and all the rest of the smiling ladies! This is what community is about! PS my hot chocolate was perfect!

It's literally all foam and not even close to being filled to the top.

Better than Iona Starbucks, but not by much. I ordered an iced shaken espresso and they filled it only 3/4 of the way. If I wanted to have that little, I would've ordered a tall instead of a grande. I was waiting for a worker to help me because I was going to say something but ended up leaving because I didn't want them to mess up my order anymore than they already did. I saw other customers drinks also made this way. The prices Starbucks charges are too high for me to not be receiving a full drink. The place wasn't even that busy. It's hard to find a reliable coffee place around this area of New Rochelle.

Great Starbucks! It is very big inside and usually never busy. I love this particular location for the convenient location. The staff is very friendly and the establishment is clean. My only issue is the parking... If you want to make a left on north avenue from Starbucks, you can't. You must make a right and drive around the block. Hoped a light would be incorporated to accommodate. Great addition to North Ave.

Our very own Starbucks! First, I'd like to begin by thanking everyone that made this possible... Oh I promised myself I wouldn't cry... Listen, I don't quite know how you compare Starbucks. You look at these performances this year, of these baristas, and unless we all did the same role--everybody put on a green apron, we'll all try that--unless we all did the same role, I don't know how you compare it. They are stellar performances and wonderful work, and I'm honored, truly honored to be here in this comfy leather chair. And finally, I would say that, you know, we buxies are a little bit out of touch every once in a while, I think. It's probably a good thing. I'm proud to be a rewards member, proud to be part of this community, and proud to be out of touch. And I thank you so much for this.

Very nice Starbucks! Clean and modern looking

I've been wanting to go to this place for some time now and I finally did! Boy, was I happy!…read more When you walk in, you are met with a dark and moody ambiance. It feels like you're in an NYC restaurant without the NYC hustle and bustle. There are a few different seating options with the bar being one of them. I ordered mainly apps because they all sounded really good and then a pizza. Deviled eggs - There's not many deviled eggs that I don't like. So good. They have like a curry taste to them but I'm not sure if it was actually curry. They were creamy and just a delicious bit. Baked Brie - Such a classic dish. The Brie was melty with the bread being slightly toasted. The star of the show was the onion jam to put on top. Incredible. Such a sweet and savory moment. Truffle and Gouda Croquettes - INSANE. So rich and creamy. The truffle was not over powering at all. The garlic aioli was such a hit with them. Sweet Heat Pizza - It was spppiicccyy (subjective though) but it was my favorite style of pizza, thin and crispy. Overall, I highly recommend coming here. I can't wait to come back and then maybe I'll try the speakeasy.

Clearly the staff has not been trained to manage the growing popularity of the restaurant. There…read morewas an awkward pause after we were seated before anyone came to welcome us and take our drink or food order. Our server asked how "done" we wanted our burger and salmon ("medium") but when the salmon arrived it was very rare. This has happened before here -- it took a long time for my properly cooked fish to arrive, and everyone else at our table had finished their meals. Fortunately, that didn't happen tonight, and my properly cooked fish arrived fairly fast. When a restaurant knows how to execute a fine dining experience, the guest is able to enjoy their time and their company. When it doesn't (when the staff looks and acts scared, doesn't bring water when it is requested, doesn't pay proper attention to its guests, doesn't bring properly cooked food...), the experience is tense and unenjoyable. That unfortunately was the case for us tonight. Also, the music played used to be so much more enjoyable. Lately it sounds gyrating and annoying.

Nestled in the quaint and friendly town of Bronxville lies Slave To The Grind, a coffee shop that…read moreis nowhere near as pretentious as it's neighboring shops and customer service focused beyond belief. The shop is small and regularly has a line (which some might tend to get annoyed about but...) -it's because the coffee is THAT good. The cafe has a few tables in the front area, a few more in the back of the shop and some quality bar seating throughout making it a place to chill with friends or do some homework/meetings on your remote days. The quality of the coffee at Slave has never let me down, from buying beans by the pound from an abundant variety to the fresh brews that also have quite an impressive variety each day, the place is tailored to coffee addicts. Similar to the "other" coffee shops, these baristas can make your very specific coffee drink and it will be right on and delicious. They know their coffee at Slave To The Grind. If you get the chance, try some of their incredible pastry selection, especially the scones. You will never leave disappointed after consuming one of those British belly bombs, designed perfectly to be consumed with a hot cup O' Joe, served with a smile. Some folks have rated Slave below 5 stars but, that is likely because they are cranky, wannabe-coffee-aficionados who believe all coffee shops cannot turn over their inventory without having to provide "sell by" dates and paint pretty pictures all over the bean dispensers so they are entertained. They probably judge books by their covers and walk their cats around on leashes too... You be the judge! Try it and you'll see exactly how wrong they are to give Slave To The Grind anything but 5 stars. Delicious coffee, great service, warm atmosphere and solid eats to top it all off. Don't listen to the noise - listen to your own review. You'll love it a latte! I promise.

Slave to the Grind seems to be essential about the coffee and more about the experience. It's…read moreclearly a longtime Bronxville staple with a loyal following. The staff is welcoming and attentive, the space looks like it is always buzzing, and really gives you the feel of this is THE coffee shop in town. Where it falls short is in the cup. The coffee itself lacked freshness and the walls were lined with coffee beans that looked as if they had been sitting there for years with no clear dates to validate their freshness. There's plenty of choice on paper, but without roast dates or origin details, it's hard to know what you're getting--and the flavor reflects that. The brew came off dull, smoky, and overworked rather than expressive or balanced considering the advertised flavors and the price point. If you're looking for a comfortable place to sit, catch up with a friend, or soak in a classic small-town café vibe, this place delivers. But if great coffee is the goal, I'd head elsewhere. Enjoy the atmosphere--but temper your expectations when it comes to what's in the cup.

We almost didn't order the cinnamon agave latte because we thought it might be too cinnamon forward or too sweet. It was neither. It was ridiculously well balanced and honestly delightful. I don't even normally drink coffee and still ended up stealing quite a few sips of my boyfriend's. My hot lavender matcha with oat milk was just as good. Lavender matcha can go wrong quickly, either too sharp, too floral, or too sweet. This one started with a little sweetness and mellowed beautifully as I drank it. Really well done. And on a Sunday afternoon, there was such a great mix of people coming through. Someone fresh from a run, a couple who looked like they'd just come from church, someone working quietly in the corner. It felt warm, familiar, and genuinely connected to the neighborhood. You can feel the community here.
