I see the reviews are mixed for this Starbucks location. Fortunately, we had a great experience. We stopped by here late one afternoon on our way down to Colorado Springs. We were immediately welcomed and served promptly. The baristas were friendly and our drinks were delicious and hot. We didn't stay long, although we found it was the perfect spot to relax for a little while, in the midst of a long drive on a cold day. I've been coming here twice a week every week for over 2 years. I finally decided to just quit giving them my business, multiple times the person taking my order was so rude, they take FOREVER they always mess up drinks and orders I go to the Starbucks off Baptist road in front of king soopers they are actually friendly super quick and always have all the syrups and food items this location says are gone or they just don't have. Also I'm not sure why but their ice at this location literally smells like dog poop. This past Saturday, I went to Starbucks to get a final pup cup for my little Chihuahua, Maggie. Maggie loved pup cups, and her sister who died three months earlier while both traveled with me on a travel assignment out of state, would get carsick and couldn't have pupcups. Maggie just turned 15 last month, was having seizures, could not sit or stand or walk anymore and lost all control over bowel and bladder. A veterinarian was coming Saturday to help Maggie stop being in misery. When I ordered in the drive-through, I didn't mean to get tearful but couldn't help it and told them it was going to be her last pupcup. I wasn't trying to get a free drink. I wasn't even thinking that. I pulled up to the window, they gave Maggie a pupcup and they would not let me pay for my drink. I didn't know there was any kindness anymore in this post-pandemic world. It was so exceptionally kind of them and Maggie thoroughly enjoyed her last pup cup. An hour later, Maggie was no longer a part of this world. The staff at Starbucks last Saturday were the kindest most understanding individuals and I thank them! They deserve kudos. I went back yesterday with a tip. Clean, friendly , and fast! Ordered my venti iced chai coffee and it came out super quick and was delicious . I find a lot of Starbucks our way too much milk or way too little ice , but this one was perfect . I have never been so disappointed in a Starbucks in my life. We went in to have a coffee and small dessert. It was almost so quite it was scary. All except for the Starbucks employee who was giving an interviewing someone at the next table. The Starbucks employee stopped her interview to yell at the guy behind the counter to say that there wasnt music playing. She did this without getting up from her seat. It was embarressing and uncalled for at any point but especially during an interview and in front of costumers. Plus, the Starbucks employee looked like she could use a newer uniform. And, for nothing really going on, the place was a mess. The Plus side is, it is quite. The location is good, but the staff and messiness kill this place. Ouch - lots of bad reviews. Can't say I've ever had a bad experience here per se, but there is something that's amiss. Can't put my finger on it. Like anyone, I've been to dozens if not hundreds of Starbucks across the country and internationally. It just doesn't have the same feel as other locations. You know what I mean? Stopped by this location on our way to garden of the gods. We were on a 2 week road trip thru Colorado, visiting from San Diego. Was helped by Mabel in the drive thru. She was very friendly and suggested an almond croissant which was BOMB. She also went out of her way to correct my drink which I had forgotten to say non dairy milk. Her and her partner (didn't catch his name) were lovely high caliber humans I enjoyed chatting with about van life. I hope to encounter more individuals like them further down the road. A pretty bad Starbucks I. General. Slow, mostly caters to the drive thru. Stopped in to do some work. All the smaller tables were filled except for the larger table, so I sat there in a corner. After about five min the manager asked me to move to one of the lounge seats (without a table) because he needed to use the table to have a meeting. The location is convenient, parking is okay, it is rather small sharing the building with some sort of investment office, the sitting area is pleasant and doesn't feel too crowded, the employee welcomed me as I entered and ordered, prepared my coffee order quickly, my coffee was served hot & delicious, there was a variety of seating including some comfy seats, the dining area & men's restroom were clean & tidy, and there was no music playing. read more

This place is busy busy but the manager seems to run a tight ship and makes it happen. Pretty sure walking in is faster than drive through. As a someone who sought out a Starbucks in Tokyo, I speak from a place of deep love and deep knowledge abt the breadth of quality that Starbucks has to offer, and this Bucks is amazing. Great location! I happen to love all things Starbucks, and this store is no different. Great people and they offer the La Boulange menu. And I do want to add a comment about patronizing this corporation vs. buying local. I'm certainly a supporter of buying local, but Starbucks is a model of good corporate citizenship - they advocate for raising the minimum wage, they offer tuition reimbursement, and full health benefits. The girl that delivered us half of our replacements was really rude and stormed off when we asked for the rest of our order. Like many of us, I love Starbucks drinks and edibles. Also like many if us, I've been to countless Starbucks around the nation. Many locations have exemplary sevice, some are extremely clean, others are extra comfortable, and others have what you want, when you want it. And some have all of the above. But, don't be fooled - not all Starbucks are created equal. Over the years I have found this location to be lacking time and again. I don't know if it's corporate, ownership, management, or hired staff...but to me, the consumer, it doesn't matter who the blame lies with because I am the one that it all affects. And you, and all of our Starbucks lover friends and family. First, the staff are rude. For example, my sister ordered a specific drink. It was made incorrectly, and rather than just remake it with no questions, the barista (whom I believe was the shift super) made a comment that my sistee needed to order it correctly in her original request...which she had! Another time in October, I witnessed the staff embarrass a couple of mothers and their daughters...who were dressed up as adorable little lattes for Halloween. I'm betting those mom's will be smart enough to find a new location. You know those Starbucks locations you walk into and get a little excited with that warm and fuzzy you get....whether knowing you'll feel welcome, are going to have a nice comfortable respite, or love the atmosphere? This is not that location. This location is dark, dingy, and crowded (in the lounge...such as it is ...and behind the counter). It is extremely uncomfortable and not welcoming. ..definitely NOT a destination! A couple years ago they had the opportunity to expand, but didn't. Story has it the owner was too cheap. This location also relies on the consumer to order what they want you to order. For example, in my last 12 visits in 16 days, I ordered a particular edible item. 2 times they had it, 10 they did NOT. I ordered this all different times of days, all different days of the week. And here's the ploy - each time they didn't have it, they asked if I would prefer a different item instead. Why, so I could purchase what I didn't want so they could justify their purchases? Not only has this happened with me countless times, but I hear the same thing happening with other customers. It's very aggravating that their buyer isn't on top of things. I'm inclined to believe that Starbucks corporate probably has no issue with this practice ... because I've noticed that most folks will choose an alternative item. I've experienced so many more aggravating experiences with this location -too many to count. Thankfully, we have other nearby options...inside Safeway, King Sooper, and a new one coming on Interquest. If you are travelling through, keep going! I see that a lot of folks have left 4 and 5 stars... but have they really compared this location to others? Or have they just settled? It's sad ... they should try the Starbucks off Briargate and Union...top notch! Finally, I realize that some Starbucks person whose job it is to watch these Yelp reviews is going to come back and respond with excuses, promises, or perhaps something to try and make me look as bad as them. Just know, whatever they write is going to be a bunch of lip service. The staff is mostly friendly but clearly a mess. If I want it iced I get it hot, if I want a certain type of tea I get another, if I want it sweetened I get unsweetened.
