Lolley's!!!!! Wow, how did I not know about this place sooner! What a fabulous find in The charming downtown area of Monument!! The ice cream is by far some of the best I have ever tasted! I sampled the key lime pie which I assumed would be my favorite and it was sublime; however, when I tried the sweet cream espresso I was sold! It was by far the best coffee ice cream I have ever had. The balance of sweet vs. the bitter of the espresso was perfection! In addition to the incredibly flavored ice cream and perfectly smooth texture, was the homemade crunchy graham cracker that was heavily spiced with cinnamon and added just the perfect ending note to my dish. The servers were so kind, the storefront is super adorable and they also have a tasting room around the corner for private functions. If you follow a gluten-free diet and really craving ice cream, this place is really worth the drive. The ice cream tastes amazing and is made homemade on site. They have several types of cones and toppings that you can select from along with the ice cream. They also have a small selection of vegan ice creams as well if you are like me and need to avoid dairy and eggs due to allergies. My favorite flavor is the vegan chocolate coconut. Along with the ice cream, they have a small selection of gluten-free treats that are amazing. My favorite is the mini bundt cakes that they make. It is completely amazing. I also love the chocolate chip cookies as well. The service at Lolley's is always excellent. There's more than plenty of seating - both indoor and outdoor. As a chocolate chip cookie connoisseur, I give the cookie I tried a 4/10. it had too much sugar and was missing the pinch of salt to balance the flavors. They were also really small. We stopped by while visiting Monument. I had a scoop of caramel pecan ice cream and my wife had a turtle sundae, both delicious. My wife also had a mocha coffee, which she declared "excellent" (she is very picky about coffee). Unusually, they have a large selection of macarons, but we didn't try these. Their whole menu is gluten-free. This is an artisan ice cream shop, where they make their own ice cream and have all their own flavors, so it's more expensive than a generic shop, but it's worth it. Their prices are reasonable for this kind of product. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The store is conveniently located in the Second Street shopping area in Monument, and is an easy walk for dessert after eating at one of the local restaurants. It has a large enclosed playground in back for the kids (it is also the outdoor seating area). They have two clean gender-neutral restroom. read more
