Perfect breakfast spot in monument. I don't think Ive ever had such a kind server. Everyone there was so friendly and kind. Service was very good. I had to ask them to stop filling up my coffee since they were so attentive. The food is delicious and exactly what you're looking for in a breakfast diner. They open at 7 a little earlier than some other nearby breakfast restaurants. I'm historic downtown Monument Colorado... so you'd have to be looking for it . The Cup is only a few minutes away from newer down town Monument. Locals seemed to storm the door promptly at 7 , which Dad and I considered a good omen . The waitress juggled her many tables with cheerful precision. They were nice enough to substitute some lovely ripe sliced tomatoes instead of potato we are restricted from at no extra charge . It's like a (relatively big) mom & pop diner. The menu has all the breakfast and brunch essentials, service is homely and prompt, and the food may not be something to write home about, but it fresh, flavorful and very filling. The deluxe burrito I ordered was HUGE and delicious. The sides were more than enough to make it a meal for 2. The filter coffee was not the best but maybe I should've ordered their fresh OJ The servers at this eatery and super friendly and nice. We've been going here for years for local eating and it's always been great but recently their service has declined drastically. We are always waiting 30 minutes to order food. Today we were told the kitchen was backed up and we couldn't order at all until they caught up. The waiters/waitresses were just standing around as it wasn't that busy. We had a large group but the tables around us were already served. The kitchen should not have been that backed up with what little people were in there. Not sure if I would recommend this place due to the slow service and long wait times. read more

Sadly, won't be going back. Been going there for 25+ years. Coffee, meh. Side of bacon arrived at the table 5 minutes before 2 pancakes. Pancakes were not hot. Manager came by to see if we wanted syrup and butter. Odd! Nothing was served warm, even syrup was cool. When we got our bill it was $5 per pancake, plus an extra $1.50 for syrup. Their pancakes batter is nothing like it used to be. Very sweet and cake now, clearly a mix they only need to add water to. At least the bacon was still good quality. read more

While visiting Colorado, we came to this cute little town near our rental. Decided to try this place for breakfast. To our surprise the food was really tasty. I love the cozy vibe of this place; service was really great. Our waitress gave us great recommendations. I love the menu look, and the selections. Waited about 20 minutes before someone asked what we wanted to drink. Had to ask someone to take our drink order. Waitress didn't seem to move with a purpose for anything. When we finally got our food it came in waves. Got half the table and then waited another 10 minutes to get the rest. Wow, the coffee cup prices have skyrocketed. The food was OK not great. The pancake was good the rest....ehhh? I'm Just shocked to spend $30 for a simple greasy dinner breakfast. If I wanted to spend that much at breakfast I would have gone to a fancy swanky breakfast spot, not a dirty little dinner. I'm sure the regulars haven't noticed how old it is inside and how dirty the place is. I would select a breakfast place that is at least clean and has better quality food. This place was phenomenal.. even being short staffed! From the gal who took our name to our server to the entire staff! Our servers name was Megan and she was adorable and her service was on point! The Coffee Cup is another Monument staple. Located in the heart of downtown Monument, this quaint little diner is homey and cozy. I have taken many a friend to this location. However, the food can be hit or miss. I like their skillets, but their potatoes can be a little dry, and the proportion of potatoes to the other skillet ingredients can be unbalanced. I can't speak to their coffee as I don't drink coffee. Sometimes the service can be slow but I do still enjoy supporting a small local business. read more

Been going to Coffee Cup for years, usually on Saturday mornings during the Farmers Market, Friday mornings when the Market is closed for the season. My wife and I have always had a pleasant experience until last Saturday morning when they got our order wrong. We went ahead and completed the correct part of our order and left the incorrect portion, explaining to an older lady when she came to clear our plates about the error. She didn't say, we're sorry, apologize for the inconvenience, nothing. Nothing! Just took our plates and walked away, We won't be going back after many years of patronizing this establishment. read more

Nice little place. Very friendly quick service. With new mandates obviously staff wear gloves and masks. Ample spacing between seating. Outdoor seating nicely spaced. Good menu. Food was decent served quickly. The man liked the coffee it had notes of citrus and on the acidic side ( which the man prefers) not my favorite I prefer dark roast nonetheless it was a good coffee if that is your preference. The skillet which we split and I'm glad we did was big enough for the two of us. Without asking they brought an extra plate. Checked on us twice which honestly is plenty like how many times do you need attention during breakfast unless you are a pain in the 4$$! We would go back. read more

A "go to" place for us locals. We love being able sit and talk and not worry about holding a table up. (Don't do that on busy days!!) Some of our food had been sitting under a heat lamp too long or was overcooked. My friend's bacon was almost black and the potatoes were dry. I think this place would be better for a couple or three people, or they need more help. Hopefully, bugs will be ironed out on the next visit.

They do everything themselves here from their farm to your table. I am gluten free and they were able to accommodate with fresh homemade gluten free bread/tortilla. My boyfriend is not gluten free and he couldn't even taste the difference everything here is soooo yummy you will not regret coming here!!! 10/10.
