It's a diner which brings nostalgic memories. Quite a crowd during the weekend lunch time. A lot of to go orders being filled as well. We sat at the counter as there was a long wait for a table. And we could watch the 'action' as well of the kitchen line cooks and servers fulfilling the orders. The portions are large we could see. There was a Southwest chicken salad served in a fried flour tortilla shell which looked intriguing. I would have ordered this but I decided to try the fish and chips instead. He chose the turkey pesto croissant sandwich without the alfalfa sprouts. I also ordered a chocolate milkshake because why not? I'm at a diner and milkshakes scream diner to me. You can make it a malt for an extra charge. I still don't know what the difference between a shake and malt is taste wise. The fish and chips had three large pieces of slender fish and some fries. His sandwich came with a huge pile of fries and he commented that they gave him some of mine. The fish and chips were average. Nothing which would make me come back but it was a filling lunch. I didn't eat all of it. Took the rest to go with his fries. He said his sandwich was fine. Nothing special. The servers were friendly. Yinneth was our server and she checked on us. The servers take turns bringing the food to help each other out and all were nice. The chocolate milkshake came with whipped cream and sprinkles and is the stuff of movies. So cute and yummy. I did enjoy it a lot and took some to go instead of wasting it. The women's restroom was clean and large. A little deceiving when you head to it. The private parking lot is small and we parked in the adjoining shared parking lot. A solid place for lunch on our road trip. read more

We stopped here to fuel up on our way to the Manitou Incline and it was perfect. The scrambled eggs were perfectly done and I liked that the hashbrowns could be substituted for cottage cheese or fruit. The banana walnut pancakes were good too. The pancake especially had nothing special to it. Dry.dry.dry. Even with syrup poured all over it.( yeah cos that's how I roll. I pile them on). They got the eggs almost right. The hash is promising. If you like diner food then this is the Mecca! Great service, great food, good prices and big helpings. On the way to Colorado Springs for the day we came here for breakfast from Centennial. Took about 40 minutes to get there. We were all nice and hungry! They have so many options you can get anything off the menu all day. The meatloaf sandwich was a favorite of my son. The gravy was rich and delish. There is plenty of parking and the bathrooms are nice and clean. It's an easy on off freeway spot so make sure to try it if your traveling on I25. read more

We arrived with a large party of 12. We are never sure how well that will go on a Sunday morning. This restaurant went out of their way to combine some tables and give us a great place to sit. Our waitress, Jenice, was all smiles and incredibly good at her job. Drink orders were taken quickly and arrived just as quick. Orders weee taken with great efficiency and the food all came out at the same time. The food was hot, fresh and the portions were large and satisfying. The entire restaurant is clean and well organized. Even the bathrooms are clean and maintained. This is a local hot spot and I surely know why. Fast, friendly, reasonable prices and great staff. Arrived early on a Sunday morning to beat the church rush. Waited a half hour for TERRIBLE food!! It DID NOT USED TO BE LIKE THIS!! SAD! The hash browns were completely hard and inedible like uncooked pasta (I think they used dehydrated hash browns that they forgot to add water to...REALLY!) the biscuit was a rock hard hockey puck, the gravy was terrible, the sausage patties horrible, and the French toast was tasted like rubber. Nice place that is busy on the weekends but the wait isn't bad. Standard bfast fare as well as diner stuff. They'll make your hash browns and corned beef hash extra crispy if you ask - a nice touch indeed. The pics of the various cars in the "pick of" was interesting to look at as well as the various local and not so local celebs who've stopped by. While the portions are large, the prices are a bit high - first meal of the day for 4 was about $75. This is a great little diner. Don't expect La Reserve food, but it has crazy good comfort food with prodigious amounts of food per serving. Milkshakes are terrific and difficult for one person to finish. The Elvis fries are loaded with cheese and gravy and are HUGE!!!! The California Club on a croissant was impossible to finish, but delicious. All the ingredients were fresh, but half would have been sufficient. The Monte Cristo sandwich was abundant and excellent. The chicken fried steak smothered with white gravy was very good, but as with the other food, far too much to finish more than half. The lumberjack breakfast was fit for a hungry tree jockey! Order half of what you think you are going to eat, especially if you have kids with you. The fifties era theme was fun...juke boxes at the table and a big Wurlitzer at the entrance. Photos of Jimmy Dean, Marlon Brando, Elvis (even a Breakfast at Tiffany's poster)and other icons from the movies of the long gone, nostalgic past decorated the walls.
