This is a great little diner. Don't expect La Reserve food, but it has crazy good comfort food with prodigious amounts of food per serving. Milkshakes are terrific and difficult for one person to finish. The Elvis fries are loaded with cheese and gravy and are HUGE!!!! The California Club on a croissant was impossible to finish, but delicious. All the ingredients were fresh, but half would have been sufficient. The Monte Cristo sandwich was abundant and excellent. The chicken fried steak smothered with white gravy was very good, but as with the other food, far too much to finish more than half. The lumberjack breakfast was fit for a hungry tree jockey! Order half of what you think you are going to eat, especially if you have kids with you. The fifties era theme was fun...juke boxes at the table and a big Wurlitzer at the entrance. Photos of Jimmy Dean, Marlon Brando, Elvis (even a Breakfast at Tiffany's poster)and other icons from the movies of the long gone, nostalgic past decorated the walls. Ohhhhhh yeahhhh! What a delightful experience! We were on our way to Pike's Peak and decided to grab a bite to eat. I pat myself on the back, Great choice! :-) Restaurant was busy but we were able to sit at the bar area with no wait time. We ordered the turkey croissant with fries and a bacon/egg/cheese croissant sandwich. Yum Yum Yum! The croissant was so soft and flaky, the meat was packed layers high and the fries were hot and crisp. Staff members were on point! The service was very good. They close at 3PM, however they don't turn anyone away and will sit you and take orders as long as needed. The food was standard diner-style. Nothing special, but the portion sizes were above average. Apparently they are known to have great milkshakes and malts, but we didn't try any of those, maybe next time. I would recommend and I'm sure we will be back sometime in the future. read more

I have been going here for over a year, since I moved to Monument. The Servers have always been great. Yesterday I went in for breakfast. The hashbrowns were waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay under cooked (raw on the bottom). I asked that they be put on the grilled again. I did get some flak, and I was told, it has now costs the restaurant double for my order??????? why? My family was in the restaurant business for over 60 years..........we would have just given the customer a new order........and been down with it.....not sure why I was treated in such a manner. read more

honestly this place was a 10/10 it is so good and such a small town gem compared to all of Denver fast food i was heading down from there to the springs for a meeting and i got of the highway for some gas and saw it and i had to go there for a quick lunch it was great it was packed to much and only a 10 min weight so i decided to go there and it was worth it the shakes where so good and the sourdough burger was delish 11/10 the serves was also immaculate i added a photo of my adopted son down below and how he would have loved the shakes. "he is all into that sweet stuff i always tell him he will ruin his teeth but he just dose not listen he is so sweet like those shakes" made me think of him now i feel bad for not getting him one read more

Good diner food at Rosie's I Monument. I got the hot Turkey sandwich and my friend got the cold one. They use real turkey, not the pressed deli type. The mashed potatoes were mashed, not whipped and not lumpy. They were definitely real potatoes. The onion rings were also good. When biting into them the onion didn't string out. I guess they were not homemade but can't say truthfully. Serving size was big for both lunches. At noon on a Monday they were busy and it was a bit noisy but the staff was very friendly. Probably the best meal we've had in Colorado. We had a party of six. Several had breakfast and the older family members had meals. My husband said his liver and onions were excellent. Just an FYI. Despite what indicated on the website, the owners are being deceptive, at best. This diner is not, never has been, nor ever will be the diner that was in Little Ferry, NJ. It does not even closely resemble it. I lived less than 3 miles from the original, and ate there dozens and dozens of times. The original Rosie's, a.k.a. Silver Dollar Diner, a.k.a. Farmland Diner, a.k.a. Rosie's Farmland Diner is now, sadly, an abandoned, rotting hulk in Rockford, Michigan, where it was moved in the 1990s. And yes I saw them cart it off. Only reason I rated 1 star is you can't post unless you do. They deserve not a one. read more

I'm happy that there are so many great food choices in Monument. Rosie's is among them! We had breakfast here recently. Portions are huge, food was really good and the staff was very attentive. I can't wait for the pandemic to be over and we can really take in this place. We never drive by and see the parking lot empty. However, there seems to be plenty of seating. I can tell this is a "go to" location for locals. The vibe is awesome and we'll certainly be seeing them again soon. What a special find on our way to Colorado Springs from Fort Collins. Stopped on Sunday around 9:30am. Had a bit of wait...always a good sign. The inside is very inviting and although only 20 years old reminds you of a 50s style diner. Very warm atmosphere. We were there for breakfast, but decided to have lunch... Love that option. We both had the California club croissant... However I had mine with Ryebread. Huge huge huge... I almost finished mine, my girlfriend struggle to eat half. They were so good. We came here out of necessity one day, as my volleyball-playing, constantly-growing, locust-like devourer of everything daughter was sooooo hungry, immediately needed to eeeaaattt after practice, and this place stood out. It was the perfect place to go feed a super hungry athlete, with lots of protein options (even for vegetarians) and hearty portions! We keep coming back, and haven't had anything bad yet. Some highlights: DECOR So... it's a diner, right? Typical diner look, lots of cozy booths, each booth has a mini jukebox to flip through and look at but I don't think it actually works. The music played throughout is mostly from the 50's, 60s, 70s. We jam out the whole time and I am free to fully embarrass my family by embracing the music in body and spirit! How can you NOT sing and dance along to Palisades Park or Little Old Lady from Pasadena?!? You'd have to be a monster! I am not a monster, so I shall jam :) OMELETTES I love the omelette. It kind of makes you feel like you're getting something healthy, and fills you up really good. All that eggy protein. And then I put broccoli on it for my daughter's omelette (score! Veggies! mom of the year!), and cheese. There are a lot of yummy options for the build-your-own. The portion is good and always tastes great! The omelettes come with pancakes: typical-sized, decent pancakes, served with sweet syrup and an individual whipped butter packet. If you're feeling fancy, you can upgrade the pancakes to chocolate chip (piles of semi-sweet chips and some whipped cream), pecan, and maybe one other specialty pancake that I'm forgetting. The omelette also comes with a potato side: hash browns or home fries. I'm never not getting home fires whenever possible. Very much yum and fullness is to be had with this omelette meal! BURGERS & FRIES Disclaimer: I don't eat meat. Luckily, they serve a Boca Burger that can replace any of the other styles of burgers. And they didn't even mind when I created a weird burger concoction. (Overall I was impressed with how patient, knowledgeable, and accurate the wait staff were with the orders.) My boca burger was done Hawaiian style with the grilled pineapple and teriyaki sauce, plus I added sliced jalapeños and crumbled blue cheese. Yummmm! Fantastic combination! Feel free to add this to your menu and call it the "Zia" after my daughter (haha) It was served with a huge side of fries that were cooked perfectly with all the right crispness and saltiness. Great fries, and a huge portion! My daughter got the onion rings and was also happy with those, although she wished the order was bigger. PASTA Another time she was craving pasta, so tried the penne pesto pasta with pine nuts, and she went crazy over it! It was silent for a few minutes as we are eating, then I look over and the plate is clean and she's trying to sop up any remaining morsels of flavor with the garlic bread. I believe it had artichoke hearts, olives, and might come with tomatoes that she took off. You don't go to a diner to have pasta, but if you're in the mood this dish is a good choice. She had a side salad with her pasta and was happy with it. Added hardboiled eggs on top, tasty blue cheese dressing. They are very accommodating and willing to help you create the specific meal you are craving here! SHAKES & DRINKS In all the times we've been here, after the hearty meal portions we've only had room for shakes on one occasion. We got cherry chocolate shakes to go. I happened to mention that my daughter and I were splitting it, and she came back with two mini-shakes with whipped cream on top! Awesome! Great customer service! For drinks, I enjoy getting the chocolate flavored Diet Coke, cherry sprite , whatever other creative combinations you can come up with for soda and syrup! OVERALL Always satisfied and full! Little touches like duke boxes at the table you can use to choose music for the whole restaurant make this a fun experience. A nice spot for families, off the highway visitors and locals, always busy in the mornings and lunch, with great milkshakes! The food itself is way overpriced and nothing special. Breakfast for 3 kids and myself and maybe one shake to share will cost you over $50! This is not a good choice if you like to be healthy at all, or gluten-free or anything even close to it. The salads are okay, but loaded with calories and come with a strange tasteless muffin. I have expressed my distaste in other reviews for the over-inflated fountain drink prices at places these days, hitting the $2-3 mark easily, for carbonated sugar syrup that costs pennies to serve. The service is hit and miss depending on your server, and when they are busy, hurry up and order or get forgotten. Our family really enjoyed breakfast here, the atmosphere was fun, but the service was what stands out. So thankful for the general manager, Mimi. I was visiting from out of town and left my purse with my wallet and son's medication. Mimi went above and beyond to try and track me down using info from my Costco card. I would have never thought to do that! I was 4 hours away by the time I got service and realized I had missed multiple calls from her, so she kept it safe for me and I picked it up on our way back out of town.
