I have been going to this place everyday since moving to Monument, CO the end of december 2022. Everyday I order a little salsa for my potatoes.....Up until today, I have not been charged for the salsa........actually I've NEVER been charged for salsa EVER in my life. Been there twice...first time we thought we'd found a pretty good place for a reasonably priced breakfast - food was simple but good, and service was the same. Second time, however, food came 25 minutes after we ordered, one order was completely wrong and had to be sent back, and the other order (Eggs Benedict) was ordered with poached eggs "very runny" but what was served resembled full-on hard boiled eggs. We were sitting at the counter and heard several other complaints of wrong orders and late food. I will say though that the manager was aware of the bad day they were having, because we never complained about any of it but she still comped our entire meal (even when we insisted on paying) so we will definitely give them another chance. read more

Someone else brought our food and we were left alone until I got someone else's attention (there were four of them just standing around at the bar talking) and asked for a check. My husband, son and his golf partners met Laura and I for breakfast/lunch there. I found this cafe on Yelp and decided to try it because I looked it up on Yelp and liked the menu. We were not disappointed because although we were six we got our food pretty fast! Two of us had the Eggs Benedict, my husband had sausage and eggs with bacon and waffles and loved the waffles. This has been a go to place for myself and friends for years now... but lately it's been disappointing. My last visit- waitstaff was friendly and efficient, however the food... I ordered the 'salmon avocado' skillet. It was served quickly and hot... I soon discovered why. I asked for my eggs over hard and they were over easy... reeeally over easy Also, in the past when I or pals order this, the 'avocado' is a couple paltry chunks... so I asked if they could actually put a decent amount on it. I was brought an extra plate with a few more chunks, and charged $2.00!!! Well I understand that everyone is still getting back into the swing of 'normalcy ', I think this is a little petty and excessive. Mayhap Coffee Cup should change the title of the skillet to just turkey or salmon, and note 'add avocado $2.00' . At least then customers have a clear choice. read more

Followed Yelp recommendations for this place and really glad I did. Directions from Denver threw me off for a bit, but enjoyed the drive through Larkspur and then the back way into Monument. Good selections and a lot of gluten free choices. Trying to go keto, so I got the protein plate which was 3 eggs, 2 bacon, a sausage patty and ham. Eggs were cooked perfectly and meats were all good. Coffee was good and service was attentive without being intrusive. Definitely will be back if I can line up my travels when they are open. read more

Been going there for over a year. Last six months the service has been last a mess. Get there before 8:00 on Saturday otherwise you may not get your breakfast order till lunch time. Going to The Coffee Cup Cafe was like stepping through a Stargate portal and into a midwest hole on the wall. The other morning it was jam packed with good ol boy types and those who love comfort food. Our waitress was kinda "short", with a "Whadda want?" attitude. The ambiance... Well about that... Lots and lots of boring tan and brown tones. Awkward church pew type booths. Some of the walls had paint that was cracking and peeling. When you see the saying, "We are not a dive or greasy spoon but a fine rustic eating establishment", on the servers' shirts and in the menu; you can only expect that the food is the typical greasy spoon fare. It is dead giveaway. So let's talk about that food. I had the Huevos Potatoes (hash-brown potatoes smothered in cheese, 2 eggs however you like, and red or green chili). It was a sloppy mess but was pretty good. It just didn't have much of a kick, so I doused everything with hot sauce. My wife had the Meat Lovers Skillet. I had to sample it and it was piled high with sausage, ham and bacon. Mmm! Can't really beat that combo. The hot pad that the skillet was served on was filthy, it looked like they used it to clean the cook top. It was slimy and soaked in grease. The Coffee Cup Cafe might be a place I would goto again - if someone was buying. If you have to pick between Shani's and TCCC, definitely go here. All in all this place could use Chef Ramsey's help. Definitely a sweet little spot in the middle of nowhere. I had a friend lead me left and right and then left again to somehow land in front of the small shop with no discernible street parking. "Where do I park?" "Wherever you want." "Where are the parking lines." "Would you just park already?!" (Some of us need that 3rd cup of coffee more than others it seems.) We arrived closer to closing than I would have liked but we didn't think about lunch till it was far too late and I was too indecisive all day. In the end, I decided I needed a big Cinnabon type roll and googling it brought up this quaint little joint. I can only comment on the coffee and cinnamon roll for now but I can attest to the Serranos coffee and the ooey gooey cinnamon icing of the giant cinnamon roll. This has been one of my go to breakfast places for ages and still go there with my family when I'm back in town. It's has a cute and simple atmosphere and has unique menus that are printed out like newspapers. Prices are reasonable and there are plenty of dishes you can order a "half" of if you aren't super hungry or just want to try more things. They have a wide gluten free selection (except for waffles) and say right on the menu they can make most things gluten free. There can sometimes be a short wait on the weekend but it's usually not too bad. I've never had trouble with parking and there's always plenty of street parking. Service is quick and all the staff is very friendly. I don't think we have ever ordered anything we didn't like. read more

Coffee was delicious! :) I ordered oatmeal and egg whites which were tasty. Bf ordered ham and cheese omelet skillet which he enjoyed and rated a 4/5. Our friend ordered the turkey and avocado skillet which he loved and rated a 5/5. The place and especially the bathroom is very clean inside.
