Amazing amazinggggggg coffee & pastries! I tried the gf lemon scone & the cheese danish...both so delicious!! The coffee was so fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere had a very calming, homey feeling with the most amazing artwork decorating the walls! I will definitely be returning. The service there is impeccable as well. 15/10 I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

We were looking for a good coffee shop on the way to Cripple Creek, when we found Java Haus in pretty Woodland Park. It's a comfortable little place. Though our order was made incorrectly, which I'd attribute to the distracted baristas chatting with the locals at the bar area. The espresso was a little bitter and burned tasting too. Java House is about typical for mountain town coffee shops. Three and a half stars for the convenience and picturesque scenery.

Love this place, good coffee, the place is clean, service is excellent, and the atmosphere is quiet and relaxing even when busy. It is a great place to do homework or just chill while enjoying a drink or two.

Spacious coffee shop with reliable wifi and outlets. Came on a Friday morning and it was a great place to get some morning work done. Plenty of tables around to choose from. Free parking in the back lot. Coffee is decent. Americano and Cortado were 5/5 and drip coffee was 4/5. Prices are very reasonable. Staff is also very welcoming!

Cappuccino with big ol' foam bubbles. Tasty espresso though

Tha atmosphere was nice and so was the staff--helpful and kind! The espresso is tasty but if you're looking for beautiful micro foam you won't find it here. Including a picture of my cappuccino for reference.

It was a fine snowy afternoon in Woodland Park, a drive through mountain town blanketed with the remains of the last night's snowfall. The roads were icy and snowbanks lined the drive to the days cup o' joe, Java Haus. After smoking a quick bowl, we headed out onto the frozen sidewalk. Java Haus is right on the main drag of town. Walking in you're met with an open layout coffee shop sprinkled with various familiar characters. There are partially-filled shelves with plants and decor and a space for karaoke. In the front on a couch, sitting lined up like ducks, are three curling iron, beanie with the puffball, platinum blonds in The North Face vests. The back corner is occupied by a man with glasses peering at his screen. There's a couple dressed in flannel in the middle of the room munching a pastry over a shared laugh. The barista is chatting up some regulars at the bar and she smiles at you when you finally reach the register. And that's the moment it hits you, YOU'RE TRAPPED IN A HALLMARK MOVIE!! (pretty much sums up the vibes) edit: Totally forgot about the food and coffee! The burrito was pre made and okay. The coffee had nice presentation but was lacking on the flavor side. Might come back and try something else :/

Wife got avocado toast and I got the "works" in the biscuit and gravy dept., huge portions. My meal wasn't a typical southern type biscuit and gravy but it was tasty. Prices are pretty much what they are in today's world. Will I be returning? Yes, I'll return and try a burrito. Give this place a try when passing through Divide. Recommend.

This place was wonderful back when it was The Coffee Cottage in Woodland Park, but after Margaret…read morebought it, moved it to Divide, and rebranded it, the quality, transparency, and customer care steadily declined. I've experienced this business through three different versions: The Coffee Cottage, Margaret's Munchies (food truck), and The Munchie Cottage. As The Coffee Cottage: They consistently carried outsourced gluten-free pastries that my family and I loved. The regular pastries were fresh and well liked. After the ownership change, discounts were eliminated, including military and rewards programs. Gluten-free items were discontinued, and when I asked about it, Margaret was dismissive and flippant, stating everything would eventually be made by her. Unfortunately, the non gluten free baked goods also declined. Family members described them as dry and tasting like boxed mixes. Margaret's Munchies (Food Truck): I asked directly if anything was gluten free. Margaret recommended the yak stew and assured me it was gluten free. After eating it, I returned to purchase pastries and was then told the stew contained flour, but "only a little bit." She said this as if the amount would not matter. For anyone with gluten intolerance or celiac disease, any amount matters. This caused a reaction that affected me for weeks. If you have ever been "glutened," you understand how serious this is. The Munchie Cottage (Divide): Still wanting to support a local business, I visited the newly merged shop in Divide, assuming early issues were temporary. There were no gluten free options and very few pastries available. I ordered coffee only. It was cold, sour, and bitter. I returned on another visit and had the exact same experience. Undrinkable coffee both times. I also purchased pastries for my family, who said they tasted stale and several days old. The most alarming issue involved misinformation about food ingredients. A customer with a heart condition asked Margaret whether her sourdough bread contained salt. She told him no and assured him it was salt free. Anyone with basic baking knowledge knows salt is part of the sourdough fermentation process. Providing incorrect information about ingredients, especially when customers explicitly state medical restrictions, is dangerous. This business shows a pattern of minimizing dietary risks, providing inaccurate information, and declining quality. Someone needs to intervene before a serious health or allergy incident occurs.

Nothing crazy, but everything done well! Not pictured is the classic glaze and chocolate glaze donuts (the cakey ones). I think those were better than the strawberry. The strawberry classic donut was in my opinion, too sweet. Too much glaze. It was a bit much. But the other two were perfectly fried and had a great texture. A little crumbly, but moist. The spot smells the second you are near it. It's heavenly! And the pricing is really good in my opinion. I mean, at least for what I was used to back in Washington DC. The cashier was nice and quick. He helped us out because we had never been before. Although I wish they put little signs up so we could see what each flavor was. I got tired of asking what each donut flavor was!! I'd come back if I'm in the area. It definitely sufficed my donut hankering.

The Donut Mill has been around for a long time, and has a legacy of serving up huge, delicious…read moredonuts. My mom grew up in Colorado Springs and when I told her we were staying around Woodland Park for our vacation she mentioned this place as one of her favorites from back in the day. Once she mentioned it, I remembered the handful of times she took us as kids to get a donut while out and about exploring, so naturally I decided to take my own and grab some one morning before we ventured out. It was midweek when I stopped in and there was only one other person in line, so it was a pretty quick trip. There was a decent selection and I picked up an apple fritter for myself, let my daughter pick a huge twist donut, and got a pretty standard donut for my husband. They were all very tasty. The only reason I'm giving 4/5 is because there were parts of my fritter that were raw and that was a bit of a let down. The flavor was good though, and I chalked it up to a mistake. The other donuts were great. If I'm in the area again I'd for sure give them another try.
