I always like coming to this Starbucks when I'm running errands in university village. I usually just go through the drive through, but I recently went inside and was really impressed with the ambiance and natural light! I took my boyfriend here on his birthday for his complementary birthday treat and everyone was so kind and celebratory of the special occasion. Our barista even gave us a second free drink so that we could try the new chai lavender cold brew. It was AMAZING! It tasted just like candy but with enough richness from the chai to subtract from the sweetness. This is a phenomenal Starbucks location and I've always had a great experience coming here. read more

This has been one of my favorite Starbucks in Colorado Springs for a while, but today the employees (and other customers) were the picture of generosity and grace. I had a very Goofy morning, creating a huge ruckus in the store by knocking over a chair and then dropping my bag, which had my tea (from home) in it. The cup broke and tea ran all over the floor, and they graciously cleaned up the mess, got me a new tea, free of charge, and then one of the beautiful employees helped me buy a new cup. Not to mention that a few of the patrons also offered to buy me a new tea. I feel like an incident that almost made me cry was worth it so see the goodness in the hearts of others. read more

Very efficient! Every time I come here it is busy however, this does not stop them from providing quality service in a timely manner. If you are a student, this is the place for you. Though it can be a bit chatty, it still provides the perfect atmosphere for doing school work or meeting with groups. In addition to Wi-Fi, several long tables provide outlets for keeping your computer or phone ready to go. I had a 7:00 meeting tonight and planned on driving out of the way to get a latte. No line - amazing! Out of caramelized honey - bummer! I don't quite understand the methodology. Every single time I place a mobile order and go in to pick it up the staff don't acknowledge me standing at the counter. No eye contact, no "hello," like I'm not even there. I can see they're busy, I get that, but when I see my order sitting there already prepared I shouldn't have to "bother" someone to get it for me. And, as long as I tell them while ordering they don't mind ringing up drinks separately so I can gain more stars for free drinks. :D They are always friendly, and the bathrooms are always clean. Worst place EVER! Took 15 minutes to make one drink because the barista was more interested in flirting with the guy that ordered after me. My wife watched her put my cup down and take his cups, put the labels on them, and make his order first. Spent plenty of time talking to him while we waited. In addition there were five other employees that could have helped make drinks but they weren't doing anything and there were no cars in the drive through. Great location with an all glass entrance wall (16 foot ceiling) that looks out on the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. Beautiful view also on the outdoor patio. Rows of workspace tables and comfy chairs by the window. Pikes Peak is a short drive from this Starbucks. read more

Recently, in October, I visited the Starbucks drive-through at North Nevada in Colorado Springs Colorado. I placed an order for a triple espresso over a grande cup of ice. I requested that the ice be to the top of the cup and if please, would the barista put cream in the remainder of the cup. The female barista stated to me that I would have to be charged for a latte. I informed her that I had never been charged in this fashion before at any of the Starbucks that I had visited. She proceeded to rudely argue with me and finally cut me off of her microphone to which she returned about a minute later and stated fine, I will do it. Approximately two weeks later, I again came through the drive-through at North Nevada, and had the same experience with the very same girl. Unfortunately, I did not catch her name, however this time when she argued with me she explained to me that Starbucks policy requires them to charge for a latte if there is greater than 4 ounces of cream or dairy products used in a drink. I explained to her that I could simply park my car and come into the Starbucks, order the very same drink and walk to the counter and put creamer or low-fat milk into my drink and not have to pay for the latte. She told me to make my choice as to whether or not to come in or go through the drive-through, however if I go through the drive-through she would charge me for a latte. I informed her to cancel my order and I left. I enjoy Starbucks coffee. I will continue to patronize Starbucks locations. I will be hesitant to utilize the North Nevada location because of the rudeness that I experienced with the barista. I will also increase my patronage of local coffee brewers. Thank you read more

I like that they are close to the house, but their prices have gotten crazy. There are plenty of other coffee shops around town that don't charge $6 or $7 for a medium latte. I personally am not visiting as often as I can't justify spending that much. read more

I am a frequent Starbucks visitor, however, I was so disappointed in this location. We went on Christmas Eve (an annual tradition we have done for 8 years) and since moving to this side of town, this was the nearest location. We went in and were never greeted, okay, fine I can get over that. However, I stood there looking at the display case because the kids wanted a treat and instead of asking me what we may like she said "you need to move here to order". Okay, fine, but I was still looking at my options and there was no one behind us. I inquired about a drink I saw on the Starbucks website the "Brown Sugar Shortbread Creme" for the kids, and was told they don't make that. So I settled for white hot chocolates for them and a latte for myself and husband, which was subpar. I was a fan of Starbucks for years because of the consistency. This was less than consistent. My daughter wanted a chocolate chip muffin and it was clear she got one beyond edibility. It was hard as a rock, but because of the lack of customer service in the first place, I didn't even want to ask for a replacement or refund. Not a single employee had a good mood, I was left questioning what I did to impose on them. I realized they had no enthusiasm for any of the patrons. Love this Starbucks. Store is always clean, including the bathroom. I think the dirtiest I've ever seen the bathroom is trash and water splashes on the mirror. Staff is super friendly, interacts with customers well and never had an incorrect drink. I just wish they had more outlets, specifically next to the big fabric chairs. Well I ventured into Starbucks on Nevada today,only because we had been given me a gift card. My wife and I experienced the worst cup of coffee ever. You ask a question in this place,everyone wearing their headsets,they look at you like your nuts for asking The Barista Genius anything. The coffee was undrinkable,So we promptly drove to Einsteins Bagel threw the Starbucks cup of mud where it belonged in the trash. I've never had a good experience here. I mean, I wouldn't go so far as to say my experiences have been bad, but I've never walked away from this location satisfied. The baristas in the drive through are perfectly civil, but I wouldn't go so far as to refer to them as polite or helpful, either. They won't substitute like for like (like when I asked for one syrup in place of another I get double charged, once I was charged an extra shot for decaf), they mix up temperatures (my food always gets heated when I specify no, but somehow my drink is always lukewarm when I get to my office five minutes away), and lately the habit they've gotten into is to leave a solid inch of emptiness in the cup when I say I don't want whip. I never get a hello or a goodbye, and they keep trying to toss my card when it's empty (it's the Chinese New Year Dragon - it's practically a collectible!). I never really get what I want because of the above, and also they just seem to get confused when it isn't just the basic recipe (and, I mean, I worked for the Bux for two years - I'm not that bad, I promise, I just want it less sweet and without whip, you know?). And it's drive through, so. I just. I'll probably keep going, because it really is just a five minute shot, but I'm just. Never happy when I leave this location. read more

I usually look for a small yet cute Starbucks. One that is not over ran by crowds. Where I can easily pick up my Ice coffee with half and half plus the classic syrup! A Must try, if you haven't.
