The one older lady that works at this Starbucks has been rude to me and others I know on multiple occasions. She is short, snippy, and very rude if you need time or any questions answered. As someone who does frequent reviews of different restaurants. i want to share more of an insight on what I see. I have not only worked but have been in the food industry for over 15 years. many of times the establishment itself doesn't change, it's the people coming in and out. Depending on the customers mood they can also shift the energy in an establishment. If there is a place that may not have many workers but take in more than what they can handle it can shake up some things. This location seems to be smaller yet takes in a high volume of people. That can't not only be overwhelming for the customer but more frustrating for the staff. Drive, mobile, walk ins, and those who come everyday at the same time expect service to be the same every time, trust I know. It seems this location deals with a lot of entitled people who have an issue with waiting for anything. I would say more staff will equal less complaints about this store. read more

Staff is very friendly! Made perfect to order. I was there recently and witnessed 2 customers being rude about remaking the item again, especially being silently racist about it. The food industry is hard and if someone wants their order made perfectly, learn to go in person and order or just be flexible. With the new government administration and everything going on it's understandable. You never know what someone is going through, so don't judge before getting to know them. If I was the worker I would've made the customers pay again, it's rude and unfair to the barista:) Especially the worker who kept her composure, it's not easy being in customer service. The staff is always friendly and the quality of the drinks is very consistent, which I appreciate. There is ample inside seating if that's your deal and they also have a drive-thru if you're more the hit-it-and-quit-it type. I was here in September 2021, the Friday before Labor Day. It was atrociously busy and there was a 20 minutes wait. The staff here has to service both a drive-thru and walk-ins - not to mention people using the app to place their orders. But I'm not complaining about the wait. I had sufficient time to watch the staff and see how they were making drinks, etc. I stood against the wall near the counter where they're making the coffee and cold drinks. What struck me was how filthy the work spaces were. Everything was wet. Each time they set down a cup, the bottom of the cup sat in wetness. The counters were swimming with milk and coffee and water and whatever else. You can't tell me - having spent working a little time in a busy coffee shop - that a 2-second swipe with a rag after each drink will set you back so far that you can't keep up. It seemed to me that the staff were so focused on getting out orders that they lost a lot of what makes Starbucks a successful brand. A few of them spoke to customers, but most were too busy to breathe. I think that the Starbucks app has done a great disservice to places like this one, which caters to customers who are getting on and off the freeway just up the street. I tried to check out how the staff keep their hands clean. The only handwashing sink that I saw was really inconvenient for anyone working the drive-thru or making drinks. You'd think Starbucks would keep hand san on hand for the people who just can't take the time for a hand washing while trying to handle the 40 or so people who were crowded into the place (not to mention all the cars in the line). Also, it appeared to me that a number of the staff weren't in keeping with the Starbucks uniform guidelines (I think half the world knows about those), and I witnessed one young woman who had dirt (ewwww) under her nails. So...nice staff, but they're so overly focused on production that I don't think they are keeping in line with the corporate ideals...and yuck, so messy. Nice welcoming Starbucks store right off the main strip in Mequon. I would stop by here each morning on my way to work to warm up, grab a coffee, and a quick bite. While the coffee and food was typical for a Starbucks, the staff was always friendly and efficient at this Starbucks location. They kept the store super clean as well. This location also had a drive thru if you didn't want to get out in the harsh cold weather. But I'm the type that likes to go in the store and order and hang out and warm up. read more

Efficient drive through service. The route for the drive through is a bit weird with entrance on the opposite side of the strip of stores and winds all the way around the back. I've been here several times when working outside the Milwaukee city proper area in Mequon. The team members are all very enthusiastic and engaged. Good service. I really think this Starbucks could use some improvements. First, the parking lot is super tiny. The last two times I tried to go there, no parking. I had to maneuver my car and leave! I must admit something to you all before I continue, it is a bit a shaming but I am not an avid coffee drinker. Now that I got the elephant out of the room I will continue on. The location is great in the new space in Mequon - right by my work. The drive-thru is packed in the morning with the moms and dads getting their caffeine fix while taking the kiddos to school. The inside is a bit smaller compared to their old location but the addition of the drive-thru makes up for it. Overall, this is a good place but nothing too special. I really dislike Starbucks coffee because it basically tastes like they take a flamethrower to the beans for 10 hours before grinding them up and making them coffee for you, but when I'm in Mequon and don't have a choice, it does the trick. As far as Starbucks goes though I like this one. All of the employees seem to be enthusiastic about their job and treat all the regulars like friends, which I can appreciate. I tend to be treated very well here despite the fact that I dress like a derelict homeless person compared to some of the more refined ladies and gentlemen who come here for $12.00 drinks. The service was fine, however, the drive thru took 30 minutes. This was at 2:45pm. Due to the set up of the drive thru, by the time I was able to exit the line, I had been waiting for 20 minutes. I'm not a coffee drinker, but as it turns out you don't have to be. Been to this location 3 times, its always been pleasant. Last time I went I had a caramel frappucino because you know (who gives a shit) and of course it was delicious because (why the flyin crayon giraffe not). I used to be able to order the same exact drink every day and get it exactly the same every single time and now it's like I never know what I'm going to get.
