I came in to this cute little shop on a Monday morning around 9am. It was quiet which was nice as I wasn't sure if it would be busy or not. My sister who is enrolled at k-state mentioned it is a great spot to study at! I got the aviator latte with coconut milk per one of the baristas recommendations. It was good but I found the matcha latte my sister got was more to my liking. I'm also a bit of a matcha snob so if I enjoy a matcha latte it says a LOT! I also got one of their veggie quiches which was superb. I may just have to stop back in the next time I'm in Manhattan!

My brothers band preformed here in the evening so my family and I went along to see them preformed and enjoy some food/drinks! They have American style food along with breakfast food and pastries. It is kind of like a bakery and bar. The service was phenomenal!! They were so happy to host my brother's band and were kind to all the people who showed up for them. In fact, I kind of think a lot of other coffee shops have lost the plot and are sterile, metallic, overly modern.. this one is cozy, warm, and inviting. I'll admit it doesn't appear this way on the surface with its strip mall location, but the inside more than makes up for it. While I just had a simple cold brew, it was really good. It might've been Thou Mayest roasters (KC roaster that's in my top three) based on the quality (and posters I saw around.) I stayed as long as I could as I really had nowhere else to be and was waiting on some news that would dictate my day, and the barista was friendly and chill. Online it said they offer grab and go cakes but no guarantees so I tried to call the number listed to ask ahead of time. No answer. I was calling within business hours. I decided to just drop in. The place is adorable with an amazing outdoor seating area and great seating inside. They had a good sized lunch crowd. I went straight to the bakery counter. No full cakes. They had like 3/4 of a Halloween cake being sold piece by piece. The date was 11/2. I asked someone about cakes and all she said was "not today". They had adorable little personal cheesecakes but at $7 a pop- not something I could get for my mom's Birthday. She didn't try to offer me a solid price for the 3/4 cake that was clearly a few days old. You'd think they would want it out the door. I ended up leaving with nothing and settling for the Hyvee bakery. Leaving was a bit of a mess. The parking lot is crazy confusing and I was forced to exit out of an area that said entrance only. The only other way out of the lot was between buildings and it was blocked. I'm guessing this is a great place. Just not for me on this day.

This is, by far, the most impressive donut shop ever and service is stellar. Situated in what feels like a 1930s throwback, each circular devotion to the divine is, simply put: a work of art. This place is an unequivocal grand slam. D is for donut! For me, it's in the Top Five attractions of Kansas, no doubt.
