GREAT HONEY GREAT sauces: + Jams! Arrived at the Acre during the winter season, not very many options for veggies and fruits however they have a great selection for jams and sauces. Local resident and enjoy checking out the local farmers markets and this happens to be one I will choose to visit often for some delicious jams! Bourbon glaze is amazing and tasted fantastic over bratwurst

My husband and I just moved down the street from this farm. I couldn't wait to go into their store. We were greeted by a sweet little youngster as we parked. The woman operating the store was kind enough to let us in even though they were closed. I enjoyed this place, she let me know what was ripe and ready to eat. We bought some delicious peaches, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, jam, bacon, and the star of the show... their sweet beets and blackberry jam. The Sweet beets are delicious! They taste like they are marinated in thanksgiving ... that's the best description I have, clove and cinnamon like, a m My husband and I know we will be there once a week for our vegetables.

My family came to manhattan for a college visit and I decided to find something for the kids to do while they did a tour of K-State. I came across this pumpkin patch. I didn't know they weren't open to the public during the weekday. That time is reserved for field trips. Angela was still nice enough to let us still come. I love that they have a package that offers everything and includes a pumpkin. The area is so fun! They have so many things that the kids could do! From photo booths, sand box, kernel box, bouncers, and a huge slide! I also love how the maze to the pumpkin patch have a hard and easier option. Once at the pumpkin patch the pumpkins are already pulled off the vine which is perfect for little fingers getting pricked! The hay ride was cool! It went around the entire property. They grow a lot of good produce! The owners Richard and Angela and their family were very friendly and they offer a really cool pumpkin patch! I plan to make this a family tradition to drive the 2 hours to go here because this was the best compared to all the others I'd been to in KC!

Everyone at Britt's have always been kind. I will go out to grab something once in a while but the place just isn't clean.

The kids got to play with the animals, shot the potato cannon, played in a tractor tire, mastered an antique corn shucker, and made smores.

We discovered there was a corn maze in Buhler on Sunday at 5pm. An hour and a half later, we were…read moreon our way (who knew corn mazes are open 'til 10??). When we got there, I was bedazzled by the wide array of non-corn maze activities: the corn shooter, the pumpkin slinger, the giant pillow?!?! SO MUCH FUN! And cheap as dirt. Bring a handful of quarters and you practically own the place! The actual corn maze was really cool and super difficult (eat your heart out NY Times Crossword Puzzle). The whole maze was shaped like a giant butterfly with a cool bridge in the middle. We got super lost but were able to finally get out after my girlfriend took my orders as I traced where we were on the map with my finger. Oh, and they have a concession wagon at the end of the maze with good food and AMAZING homemade pumpkin pie (the pumpkins are homemade too!). We'll be back next year if girlfriend's dad doesn't drag us back next weekend!

I look forward to corn on the cob season at the Gaeddert Farms farm stands every year. I always…read morepressure cook my corn in my Instant Pot electric pressure cooker and it's fabulous - tender and delicious. If you happen to get a bad cob or it has a worm they will replace it. Often when you buy a dozen, they'll put a "baker's dozen" (13) in the bag. To butter it, generously butter a piece of bread, put corn cob holders in the ends of the cob and roll the corn in the butter. This technique gets more butter on the cob than trying to butter the cob of corn with a knife. I frequently make one of my favorite soups, potato corn cheese chowder. I think I provided a copy of the recipe to Gaeddert for their cookbook. In addition to corn, the farm stands have other produce. This summer I had some juicy, delicious peaches.
