I have been to both the indoor and outdoor markets. The vendors are very nice. Every type of item expected at a farmer's market is available: meats (including a lamb-specific vendor), farm fresh eggs, vegetables, herbs, spices, bread, local honey. Eric R. and I learned all about farm fresh eggs when a vendor spent lots of time explaining to us about the process, how it differs from store bought eggs, and how the colors are different. We bought a half dozen, 3 brown and 3 blue eggs. They were truly delicious and I could taste a difference. The yolks were so bright! Only one of the eggs had blood spots inside but she told us how to check for those and how to clean them before cooking. The market now offers free coffee in the morning, and runs from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturdays. Support our farmers and ranchers and shop here!

Whether it's buying peaches when they open for the season, to make peach pie filling, peach jelly/jam, peaches to top your homemade ice cream or just to eat. Or perhaps it's to buy apples, they ones good for eating or for you apple baked items such as pie. And the pumpkins and gourds they have!!! So many of all sizes for your fall decorating. Homemade cider that's good cold or heated up for the colder months. And closer to Christmas they have peanuts that can be purchased in large or small quantities. It's a family friendly place to take your kids or to stop by for a chat with Earl and Pam. You might even learn a little about the history of the orchards that use to be in the area.
