Always a great experience here! Everybody is so kind and friendly and the coffee taste amazing! They have yummy pastries, and quiche as well! The inside is a cute, normal coffee shop. They don't have a ton of space for a lot of people to sit and work, but they have a decent amount of tables and chairs. They have a couch area as well. read more

I love local coffee shops. And if i am being honest, I didn't spend much time here. I looked up the hours on google and it said it closed at 7. I was meeting a friend at 4:30, parking was difficult and I found out as I was parking that it closed at 5. It is super cute. Awesome that the owner uses the coffee shop as a literal work of art. Nicely done and decorated. I did love that they were consistent with the flight theme. I think it could have been cool if they offered "flights" of different flavored coffees. I did not see anything on the menu but I didn't know where to look. The menu is literally all over the place(on multiple walls). Not having one big menu on one single wall really messed with me lol. This was not ideal for someone in a rush. The menu was huge letters. It could have been condensed to one single place leaving more room for the art. I was super excited to see quiche in the display. But once I bit into it I was disappointed. No flavor, none. Little flavor in the flaky crust but the meat and egg were flavorless. Even the sausage was plain. I don't even think they used salt or pepper. It was high quality coffee and my latte was decent. I really expected more from a place with such rave reviews. Maybe I am just spoiled with all the spectacular coffee shops in Kansas City. read more

Cutest themed coffee shop ever! Beautiful designs and interior and cozy spots to get some work done or read and enjoy a great latte. Loved the specialty lattes named for famous female aviators, and they were so good! The ladies behind the counter were very cheerful and helpful when ordering, and they truly made the entire vibe of the cafe welcoming. read more

I absolutely love trying smaller coffee shops especially outside of my home town. Anything is better than Starbucks in my opinion! I came in to this cute little shop on a Monday morning around 9am. It was quiet which was nice as I wasn't sure if it would be busy or not. My sister who is enrolled at k-state mentioned it is a great spot to study at! I got the aviator latte with coconut milk per one of the baristas recommendations. It was good but I found the matcha latte my sister got was more to my liking. I'm also a bit of a matcha snob so if I enjoy a matcha latte it says a LOT! I also got one of their veggie quiches which was superb. I may just have to stop back in the next time I'm in Manhattan! read more

This place is so cute!!! We wanted coffee on the way to the zoo, and my sister found this place. The airport theme was so so cute. The menu board looks like the arrivals and departures board in an airport. The baristas dress like flight attendants too. The ambiance was warm and inviting. I didn't know what to order so I ordered my recent favorite that I order everywhere: honey lavender latte. You guys, it was delicious! The barista was very friendly and patient as I was indecisive but ended up buying a shirt and a gift-card in addition to my latte.. My kid wanted a cookie but at $3 I was like hmm let's not. I am sure this place is popular in town and we will be sure to come back on our next visit to Manhattan. read more

Flight Crew is a brand new addition to Manhattan and downtown! It is immaculately decorated with the aviation theme down to the baristas' outfits. The bathrooms are lavatories on signage, and a room in the back is the "first class lounge." The drinks have fun names too, and the treats are supplied by Little Batch Company! I buy a $5.00 cup of coffee at a coffee shop, not for the coffee, but for the experience. Most coffee shops don't realize this, but then again more than a few can't even deliver a hot cup of joe. Well, Flight Crew Coffee delivered me a hot cup of coffee, that I enjoyed while sitting in a comfortably modern armchair with a globe on the adjacent table, which made my subsequent discussion with Mrs. AAR, over a delicious quiche, about the border between Sudan and South Sudan that much more interesting. The place is filled with flight memorabilia and other aviatory touches that really work. So much so that this is one of the few places that meet all the criteria of the After Action Report (AAR) Coffee Rating Exemplar (ACRE) and is therefore an AAR Must Coffee. read more

I found this place through word of mouth from a friend of mine who 1-knows coffee and 2-knows the owner of this place. Having a life long interest in both coffee and aviation, I decided to give it a shot. I got a bag of roasted beans which are fantastic and seem fresh for my own coffee set up and a cortado to go. These folks know how to make espresso drinks! The place itself is absolutely beautiful on the inside with lots of comfy seating and aviation photos. If you all need some more wonderful photos, I can print and bring one over from a aviation photographer who also happens to be in my family. I'll be back for sure! Great coffee-- I purchased for a group & everyone had good reviews of their drinks! I personally had an iced latte with oat milk. The employees were patient with a multiple drink order and helpful navigating the menu (no pun intended) but the menu does have a lot of flight related name associations-very clever & appreciated! Certainly would recommend--great coffee, great environment & staff. No complaints here!! read more
