During our holiday visit to London, our family recommended the Happiness Café. So one rainy…read moreafternoon we parked across the street hopped over some road construction and blew thru the doors. The first impression of décor and display, it is clean, intentional, thoughtful and cozy. We perused the menu and I decided on the fig and cheese croissant, accompanied by an espresso martini. We found our seats at a table and I could not take my eyes off the artistic desserts on display. One in particular was a tree ornament, made of cake, it was shiny and beautiful, almost too pretty too eat. Almost. My only regret is that I didn't enjoy one, but I was too full after lunch. Our meals were delivered to our table and even though I wasn't very hungry when we arrived, the look and smell of the food fueled my appetite. My croissant creation was filled with fresh ingredients and the decadent combination of savory and sweet hit the spot. The espresso martini was wonderful, even my picky husband liked it. To our delight, we had the opportunity to meet the owners, a husband and wife team. Both very stylish, with warm smiles and welcoming conversation. The wife is the pastry chef, I had to wonder if she ever had time to sleep considering the array of beautiful desserts on display and what it must take to perfect them, individually. We look forward to returning on our next visit to London hopefully during the warmer months to enjoy their patio, and THIS time, dessert first! And maybe second! Now that we are back home in Los Angeles, I find myself wishing we had a Happiness Café. I was in Beverly Hills yesterday at the Rodeo Collection and I visited a café with hopes that it might compare, but it was missing the warmth and artistry of Happiness Café.

Good atmosphere, Coffee and Hot Chocolate are top notch. Went with my girlfriend and have a good…read moretimes. One thing to note if you want to visit is the place doesn't have public wifi.

I got together with a friend one Sunday afternoon and we enjoyed a lovely classic English breakfast. It came with 2 scones, clotted cream, locally made jams, and my own beautiful tea pot filled with whatever my heart desired. They have so many options, but I went with the classic Creme of Earl Grey. There is an entire wall of different teas to choose from. The owner is incredibly nice and very welcoming. We had lots of questions before we arrived and she was happy to answer every single one. My friend is gluten free so they ensured they had some GF scones for her meal. They came with a coconut "clotted cream" which was quite tasty. They serve plant based milks with their teas. They have many different types of tea services and events you can enjoy. From outdoor tea ceremonies, Reiki and Cup Tossing classes to clean eating seminars, there is something for everyone. I very highly recommend the Tea Lounge. This is a great spot to get together with friends (or just yourself!) and enjoy the warmth of friendship, life, and tea alike.

In our selection, we tasted tea from countries, such as Nepal and Taiwan. The shop is located in a house. Service is very friendly, and the store seems to be run by a family. It's a great place to unwind in the company of friends or family and catch up over a hot beverage.

I've been to a few of the Fire Roasted Coffee's around London, and I have to say this one is my…read morefavourite. It's in the Old East Village, past Adelaide St, and they're really revitalizing this area and I think it's wonderful, this establishment is located in an old warehouse, which was turned into Fire Roasted and the Old East Grocer. I came this afternoon for a Yelp event and I brought my mom. We parked in the back, since there wasn't any parking on the road, which was fine, you just have to pay to park. We walked into the place and Fire Roasted is on the left and the grocers is straight ahead. Smaller café, but there were plenty of tables and chairs available for our small event! I had ordered two small coffees for my mother and myself and we tried the bagel bombs they had, jalapeno, and garlic & bacon, both of which were delicious. I believe all the food items are outsourced, but they are delicious nonetheless. The actual Roasting plant is in the back of the building, I took a walk down to see what it looked like, and it was really interesting to see how they do it. This is such a unique building, and how they've renovated it to help revitalize the whole east end is amazing, bringing in the local business to help this area thrive again. I'll definitely be sure to come back, the ambience is wonderful, and the coffee is delicious.

I'm going for a scone the next time I head back which will likely be tomorrow. Lots of space and nice morning light coming in. It's gonna be great to sit out in the new patio this fall.

Love this place!…read more Reset Social Cafe is such a great spot in London to come with friends, hang out, catch up, grab a coffee, and just spend some time together. It's the kind of place where you don't necessarily need a big reason to go. Sometimes you just want somewhere comfortable to sit and talk, and this is perfect for that. The atmosphere is probably my favourite part. It feels fun, social, and welcoming without being overwhelming. If you want something more interactive than just sitting around with drinks, you can play games too, which makes it an especially fun option when you're coming with a group. Whether you're meeting someone for coffee, catching up with friends, playing some games, or just looking for somewhere to relax for a while, Reset works really well. Awesome atmosphere and a genuinely fun place to spend time with people. Easy 5 stars!

I think the coffee itself could use some improvements though. Food: My friend had the avo brioche and said it was the most bland sandwich she's ever had. I had a good experience with the ham and cheese brioche though. So if you're deciding between the two, definitely go for the ham and cheese because it has a great basil sauce. Drinks: drip coffee- wasn't really anything special, just tasted like black coffee with no specific notes. ginger latte- a little too spicy, I was expecting it to be infused with ginger taste within the drink, but it seemed to just be the spiciness of the ginger with none of the sweet. pumpkin foam (iced)- this was my favorite of the 3! A good amount of sweetness, enjoyable, I would order this again. I would come back to try their other seasonal drinks. I think that's where they shine. Overall, nothing really blew my mind for the price, but I might come here to get some work done.
