Grabbing coffees for coworkers!
Julie F.

UPDATE:   For in store: So I recently started drinking just hot coffee, simple enough so I figured I didn't need to mobile order.  It took 10 minutes to even order my coffee, with only 3 people in front of me.  There were at least 6 people behind the counter, 2 just standing there.  The girl taking the orders was also making coffees and heating up food.  They need a better rhythm.  I left with 8 people behind me, basically just waiting to be served.  The cashier was great, but definitely could've used some back up.  I was almost late to work.        For Mobile: My favorite spot to pick up,  just place my order on the mobile app as I leave the nearby Marshall's and it's ready when I get there!  Great location, always friendly helpful staff and the drinks are always perfect, no matter how many order.  I've placed 10 drink orders before and had them all perfect!!

The drive thru line was soooooo long. We almost just drove away but noticed that there wasn't a lot of people inside at all. So we parked and went in to order our coffee instead. It was a great idea because we got it quickly. Got the pumpkin cream cold brew. Nice and tasty!

Alex was very helpful. Order came out correct. With CoVid cases lowering each day and the mask policy becoming more flexible it appeared nobody got the message at this SB.

Pumpkin Spice Latte & a spinach feta wrap...yum!

The coffee here is always awesome! What a difference proper brewing makes! And, can I just say how happy I am that it's pumpkin spice latte time again!! They have a small selection of pastries, snacks, & sandwiches. Wish they had more! Service varies from super speedy & friendly, to slower than a snail & rude. Guess it just depends on who's working that day. They do have a drive through. But, I feel bad for anyone trying to visit anyone else in this section of the plaza during peak hours...the drive through can make parking & navigating here a pain. I would give 5 stars alone for the coffee, but I feel the inconsistency in service warrants a ding. My only other wish is that there was more seating. It's a small store front, so I understand why it doesn't. But, I can't rely on always getting a seat. But hey, they have free wi-fi! Oh, and if you're going to come here several times a year, check out the rewards program. I've gotten so many deals since I enrolled...& even more once I reached gold level

Just always dirty and I always have to wipe my table and debris all over the floor. Service is always good and friendly. Just being dirty is a real problem.

This place is really inconsistent. Sometimes great, quick service and good drinks. Other times you get s*** like this...a grande with half cream and half cold brew - and not even filled up. Really disappointing but I don't have the time to fight with them today about ripping me off. Tip: Don't let the moody blonde kid make your drinks.

By far the worst Starbucks location in RHODE island. The employees are so rude and condescending. They literally HALF filled my drink and laughed at me when I asked them to fix it. Here's a pic of how THEY GAVE ME MY BEVERAGE like this is not ok. Nobody waits in like for 20 minutes for a HALF FILLED DRINK

Spongy egg and cold steak in a breakfast wrap. Blech.
Linda A.

Not a terrible location, but my steak sandwich left much to be desired. Some parts were flaming hot, others cold. The egg inside was super spongy. Yuck all around.

Wow - this may have just become my favorite coffee! I ordered the Beach Bum - a summer seasonal latte with coconut, hazelnut and vanilla as an iced coffee and it was absolutely delicious. It earned a permanent spot in my cup holder for the drive home and I was already thinking about my next visit before I got there. The shop itself is cute and welcoming. I even had the chance to watch Scott Groome painting a new mural outside and it's going to look fantastic. The staff were friendly, patient and happy to answer my questions, which made the visit even better. My only complaint is that the menu changes a little too quickly. There were drinks I wanted to come back and try that were already gone! That's probably just another reason I'll have to keep stopping by. I'll definitely be back soon to finally get my own latte bucket!

The Coffee Cubby is located on Old River Road in Manville and was on my way to work. The shop itself is divided into two areas: a four-seasons room with plenty of seating and a smaller area with all of their baked goods and the ordering counter. The first day I was here, I ordered a large hot blueberry coffee cake coffee. While I expected it to be a latte, it ended up being a flavored coffee instead. The coffee itself was just okay. I could definitely taste some spice, maybe cinnamon, but there was also a bitterness that wasn't particularly pleasant. So while some sips were good, others were not. On the second day, I ended up ordering a large pumpkin s'mores latte, sans the mocha. When I saw the size of my iced coffee, I was impressed, as it was massive, even if it did cost around $10. The flavor ended up being pretty good, with a combination of pumpkin and marshmallow flavoring. I don't know that I could have told you there was coffee in it, but I still enjoyed it. Even though it was fairly sweet, it wasn't overly sweet for my taste buds. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. They have a sign claiming to have the best iced coffee in Rhode Island, and I can see why they might be proud of their drinks!

I will be stopping by this week while I'm off on February break and if someone has a recommendation, please suggest it! On my most recent visit, the woman at the counter took my order and, when it was time to pay, asked for my phone number. I thought she was asking me about my rewards stamp card, so I responded, but she never acknowledged that my phone number had gone through. It turned out she was actually talking to another customer, leaving me standing there talking to myself. It felt inconsiderate and made for an awkward experience. The drinks are decent, but they're Herbalife-based products, so there's nothing particularly unique about them. Customer service and making guests feel welcome are what really set a place apart, and unfortunately that's been consistently lacking during my visits.

What is it with Rhode Island and its incredible independent coffee houses?…read moreUp in Lincoln is Fundati -- A Coffee Experience, and what a gem. It's a cute, welcoming shop with genuinely nice staff and a lot of personality. I had a fantastic cold brew topped with maple cold foam, along with The Hot One -- egg, cheese, hot honey butter and chorizo on a locally made bolo. The bolo was incredible: beautifully toasted on the outside, soft inside, with that wonderful hot honey butter playing against the spicy chorizo, egg and melted cheese. Absolutely scrumptious. You can tell there's a lot of love here -- in the food, in the coffee, and in the shop itself. Fundati is another reminder of just how lucky Rhode Island is to have so many terrific independent coffee houses. What a gem!

Hygiene Issues, Not great Coffee, Out of Paper Filters for pour over…read more I went in with high expectations, I planned to order the light Ethiopian Roast pour over and was quickly informed there were no paper filters and I couldn't get a pour over. In the pastry case my mother and I counted 4 flies and even a bee flying around the food! I proceeded to order a cold brew as a back up and usually enjoy Cold Brew and Dutch brew (especially brewed from the towers) but it didn't hit the spot, it was just ok. The price for a small cold brew was over $6 not including the tip which felt pricy for no cold foam or any inclusions. The interior was nice and there were a lot of people, but based on what I saw I won't be returning.

My hairdresser told me about this place years back and l am so sad I didn't listen to her sooner…read more There are two locations, both are kind of in the same area of Rhode Island which made it hard to decide on which one to go to. I ended up going twice in the same week to the one in Smithfield, but l am curious to see if quality changes from one location to the other. Anyways, they have a good selection of flavors including: sesame, the works, jalapeno cheddar, three cheese, pepperoni and cheddar, plain, cinnamon sugar, and from what I have seen online, they do offer seasonal flavors which I am very excited for. Each one cost $1.50, or you could get half a dozen for $7.00 and a baker's dozen (13) for $14.00 which is one of the best deals around. The first time I went, I bought a dozen since / was taking them to a brunch and the second time I ordered half a dozen. One thing that immediately sets them apart from other bagel shops I've been to is their attention to detail which I am huge on. When I purchased the dozen, I requested one cinnamon sugar and they wrapped it in parchment paper so the sweetness wouldn't get on any of the other bagels. So far, I have only tasted the jalapeno cheddar and the everything bagel. I love that they're loaded with flavor, the bread is soft, not airy but also doesn't feel too dense, it is not dry, and the dough is slightly elastic-y which I love. I think a good way to measure how good a bagel is is to eat it without toasting it. This one passed with flying colors. The first time I came, l was a little confused as to where this place was because the GPS led me to the back of the building but did find my way after driving around the building. The second time I came here, 1 realized they have a drive-thru window which is very convenient. There were about 4 cars ahead of me, but within 5 minutes I was on my way home. I would highly recommend coming here!
