They definitely know how to manage the timing and make sure everyone is satisfied/not waiting too long. Everything is always need correct to order. the wait inside is ridiculously long,even if nobody is in line. They don't acknowledge you or greet you in any way. they'e busy amoung themselves talking . Coffee is good . This is, and I cannot stress this enough, the slowest Starbucks I have ever been to in my entire life. Every time I come here, it is guaranteed to be at least a ten-minute affair, whether using the drive-thru or going inside. While the drive thru line is always crazy- does not matter what time of day you come- the inside is pretty quiet relative to the drive thru. For example it's 1:30 pm (middle of the work day) and the drive thru line is wrapped around the building, but when I walked in- I was the only person in line! Yay! The barista was nice and friendly. So I'm hoping they've turned this place around- in terms of staff. When it first opened- everyone was so pleasant- it was great! Then it took a hard nose dive with not so nice people who worked here. But lately when I come everyone is pretty great. However the service still takes A WHILE. I am the only person inside, and I see them making all types of mobile orders - while they are STILL not making my coffee. It's really frustrating. I ordered my coffee at 1:21pm and it's 1:29pm and I still don't have my coffee. Granted I get a complicated drink- that you have to blend and add whipped cream and caramel too- but it still doesn't take almost 10 minutes to make it! So I finally received my drink at 1:30- nearly 9 minutes I waited for a drink that takes 3 minutes tops to make! They really need to fix their system they have in place for walk-ins/drive thru/mobile orders- because things aren't adding up! And a lot of people (including myself) come here on a work/lunch break with limited time. So to waste 10 of my minutes to wait for a coffee is just not PRACTICAL when I have other things to do. Great: This is my fave Starbucks location because they are always quick inside and in the drive thru even when the line is towards the Papa Gino's. They are also consistent with how they make beverages and my coffee is always made right. I don't have any complaints on the syrup/sauce ratio, they make it perfect & don't skimp on you. Needs improvement: one time they didn't have my drink ready in the drive thru when I ordered thru the app and my sister was driving. They had us pull around. We thought they'd run it out for some reason and we ended up going inside to grab it. Not a big deal but lack of communication there. Honest mistake as they were prbly busy and overwhelmed. Still the best Starbucks in terms of consistent drink making IMO. read more

This is why in recent years I hate going to Starbucks. Went in and ordered a grande dark roast coffee and waited.............and waited..........and waited..........and waited, as others came in after me, got their orders and left. I could see my coffee sitting under the dispenser orphaned by a staff that had clearly forgotten it was there. Twenty five minutes later I was starting to feel the need to kick in my Kramer-like mantra of "serenity now". I went up to the register and waited for staff to acknowledge me. Four minutes later one of the staff finally attended to my needs. I then informed this person of the situation and wished to have my money refunded as I didn't want it develop into a drama. The barista apologized and gave me my money back and then I left. Lesson learned. The simpler orders always seem to get put on the back burner over the more involved customer orders. read more

Most rude staff, the drinks here are really a hit or miss sometimes it's amazing sometimes ur better getting water. This review is for the red reusable cup that I got for this holiday season. I like to keep a reusable cup in the car in case I go to Starbucks and I want to use it. This is a medium size which is perfect and the holiday drink that I had to buy in order to get it free was an iced sugar cookie with almond milk. Very good and a few too many calories for me so I gave it to Mike. I wish if they were going to require you to buy a holiday drink that they would have a low calorie option. read more

Definitely one of my favorite Starbucks in the area. With tough commutes this is about halfway in between mine so sometimes I like to grab a cup of coffee during traffic. Ordered online at 9:45. Drink came out finally at 10;20 and was waiting on the sand which as well but left once the time hit 10:30. It should not ever take an hour to receive a sandwich and a drink. There was nothing extravagant about this order nor was there a massive amount of people in line or at the drive thru waiting for orders. The line is always insane because they closed the inside and mobile orders, their staff is never friendly or welcoming, and they consistently don't want to accommodate order requests. I know businesses are struggling to get enough staff but this Starbucks is consistently shutting off mobile ordering and it's extremely frustrating. If you are short staffed please keep your mobile ordering on and allow people to pick up in store. It's faster to drive to Lincoln and give business to another store than wait in the drive thru line. Also it's very frustrating when mobile ordering is allowed and to arrive and find out you are doing drive thru only pick ups. I don't have time to wait in the line and there is no option to cancel an order. Please get consistent with your ordering, you have to be losing money. read more

I've been coming here for years, customer service has changed for the worse unfortunately. Hardly encounter a friendly worker anymore, my order is never up to par and just last week it took 10 minutes to get my drink which was wrong and was treated like it was my fault you handed me a small when I ordered and paid for a large. I can handle slow service but slow rude service and I'm not even getting what I'm paying for doesn't fly with me. Still My Favorite Coffee It's a Starbucks, it's a chain, but they serve great coffee and no one can take away from them. This particular location is usually very busy and the employees do a great job to minimize the wait. This Starbucks has the BEST crew EVER! Let's face it, working with the general public, especially right now, is not easy. But these guys do their best (and succeed!) in creating a positive atmosphere while serving up some tasty treats. I am a regular and am always greeted with a smile. I was treated well even before I became a super regular (why do you think I'm a regular now? ;). My drinks are almost always made perfectly, and I'm picky! But I order my picky novel with a smile and am grateful they don't laugh at me for my funny order! Here's the thing, though, everyone makes mistakes. I know I do ! So, if on the rare occasion my drink isn't right, I ask them nicely if they can fix it. And they never fail. And I never get attitude for it. So, mistakes will happen, but these guys deal with it awesomely, and that's what matters! I don't enjoy how mobile orders seem to fall into the same line as people who go into the store, but that is not the baristas' faults, that's how Starbucks operates. If it upsets you, I suggest contacting corporate and voicing your concerns, not taking it out on the baristas. And if they made your drink incorrectly, even through the drive thru, I suggest parking and giving them a call, I have a feeling they will be very helpful. That's just how this crew is. This is an extremely busy store in the mornings, and sometimes they need to close the inside cafe if they are short staffed, which is bound to happen a lot right now. That's also not the barista's fault. My Starbucks drink is a luxury, and I try to make time to get through a drive thru only situation as needed, but won't blame them for other people's big orders or if the store is short staffed. If I expect them to attend to my own order properly, then I should expect them to attend to everyone's order with the same level of care. These guys do an awesome job. Thanks, baristas! read more

It's too bad that when I went there today, I have not been in a long time, I purchased a $5.00 latte in drive up AND now they hand you the computer to ask if you want to tip?! I believe in tipping and I'm a big tipper but man Starbucks drive-up, it's one thing to give a tip it's another to ask. I felt so off guard I tipped $1 but wtf I've tipped more than that before just pissed me off they ask, Starbucks has been one place on my list of~ that I'm slowly quitting. This Starbucks is so much nicer than any of the other Starbucks around. I like the Lincoln one, but it's too small and it's always hard to find a table. This one, however, has tons of seating, comfy couches and even a bar for you to sit at if you wish to watch them make drinks. I've been doing homework here for about an hour and a half now and it's been so easy to concentrate because it's not overcrowded or distracting. I love this new one!! I love coming to Starbucks in Smithfield! Most of my experiences have been positive and I will keep coming back because of it. The environment is nice to do work and to spend time with friends and family. I have never gotten a bad drink and the baristas are always helpful when they answer my questions. YAY!!! Finally, a Starbucks near work!!!! This is such a quaint location, and I have to say a bit different than many other Starbucks locations I've visited in the past. There's something quite homey meets industrial meets country chic. I can't put my finger on it, but I just love the atmosphere. The communal tables are a nice touch. For a fairly new store, this place has its act together, too. My orders are always on point, the quality of the food is great, and the folks that work there are on top of everything from ensuring proper customer service to maintaining the cleanliness of the shop. Although Starbucks is very "mainstream" and commercial, this one is by far my favorite Starbucks location in Rhode Island. Aside from the fact that is uber convenient and on my way to work, the service is consistently wonderful! It is the customer service that truly sets them apart from all other branches. I have had super friendly and helpful service EVERY time I stop by. Whether I'm walking in or ordering by the drive-thru. They are amazingly patient and helpful even on your "adventurous" days. When you have no idea what to get, but don't want to get your hum-drum usual. Oh, come on. You know you do it too. One afternoon I tried to be inventive with my frappuccino, to the point where even I was forgetting how many scoops of java chips and how many pumps of three different syrups I requested. I followed a custom-made recommended recipe from a friend of mine that worked at another Starbucks branch. I felt ridiculous ordering something so difficult and specific, but they were extremely nice about it despite confusing myself and them. AND it was pretty darn delicious. They even made a custom off-the-menu non-caffeinated frozen chocolate drink for my pregnant sister who wanted to lay off the caffeine. How sweet is that?! The set up in this Starbucks feels more spacious and comfier than most. It might be the extra long group/study table, soft brown leather couches or extra stretch room between tables... either way, this place is my solid go-to-coffee stop. My oh my was I surprised when I noticed this location spring up next door to Papa Gino's. (Um, hullo, there's already a Starbucks in the Target.) Either way, this has definitely got to be one of my favourites of the bunch: clean, fresh atmosphere, polite baristas and most importantly, correct orders. I've had major issues in the past with other Starbucks locations regarding both the wait time and quality of their drinks. Everything from watery iced coffee to defrosted frappucinos.
