This Starbucks was honestly one of the most unpleasant places to sit and enjoy a coffee. The air conditioning was set to an absurd level--freezing to the point where it felt genuinely unhealthy to stay inside for more than a few minutes. It completely killed any chance of relaxing or enjoying the atmosphere. We even asked the manager if they could lower it just a bit to make the space more inviting, but they refused without offering any solution. That pretty much sealed the experience. If you're planning to sit down, work, or just enjoy your drink, I would strongly recommend going somewhere else. This location is not worth it. read more

Came in during the morning rush and the team was ready to assist! First time I've seen someone greeting every customer before getting to the register area to check if they're picking up a mobile order or if they still need to place an order. Most customers at the time I arrived were doing pickups so I was the only one that needed to place an order. I'm so used to other locations prioritizing pickup and drive thru orders but my order came out quickly! This was my first time at this location and will be back again. Some time ago, Starbucks had a promotion where they partnered with Marriott Bonvoy where Starbucks credited their users a BONUS 100 Points to join Marroit Bonvoy Rewards. Well I did that haha and I JUST recently got the chance to redeem my offer. For 100 points, I chose to try Starbucks' Ham & Swiss Croissant sandwich. I've only tried Starbucks one other time back when I was a teen over [blank] years ago, so this was a nice way to try them again after so long. When I came in this Tuesday morning, I wasn't greeted right away, because I noticed the baristas were busy with other guests that came in. Because I placed a mobile order, I asked one of the girls up front if my order was ready for pick up. She said she would check shortly. While I waited, a kind gentleman offered to help me. (I didn't get either of their names) but he was so upbeat and light and friendly. He let me know the Ham & Cheese Croissant was really good! He wasn't lying! For a quick breakfast, the croissant was very flaky and the ham and Swiss was warm just right. Again, I'm not a BIG Starbucks goer, but perhaps this will be a great start to that relationship! I have been to this Starbucks three times and each time is the same. Service is so s l o w I thought I was stuck in a bad movie. The staff is in desperate need of a competent manager. There was one person taking orders while three women were behind the counter and only one of them making drinks while they laughed and chatted about nothing. Finally part of my order comes out yet I'm still waiting for a drip coffee. I went back in line again while another customer who came after me gets his coffee. I tell them I never got my coffee and the guy goes "ohhhhhh I forgot". I waited 15 minutes for a simple cup of coffee. I walked in today at 9am, one of my girls ordered a carmel ribbon crunch for her drink. And while she was drinking it, she started finding little pieces of what looks like hard rubber, or plastic, at first iI thought it was part of the mix, so I didnt think much of it. Until we started finding more pieces and they bigger as we found them. Then i realized it was not part of the mix , it seemed to be part of the blender. I called the store to let them know, they were nice but they told me it was part of the mix, I offered to send them a picture but they refused because of personal information. After my transaction, I decided to wait in the new lobby. As if she was not only rude to me, but rude to her own coworkers. This is for complaining about an extreme rude attitude of Starbucks barista toward their customer. It happened at: Starbucks Portola & Glenn Ranch Road 27412 Portola Parkway (Foothill Plaza) Lake Forest CA 92630 Two baristas who rudely treated us are Ericka and Landon (that the names they gave us). Date Oct 29, 2023 between 9.45-10.00 am PST They missed one of my order. My husband asked them and Ericka (shift supervisor) told him there is no more coming. I ordered through mobile app so it only allows me to see the recent receipt, I sent it to him and stepped to the store. The store employee did not re-check the mobile order system to confirm the missing order. Ericka remade the order with the incorrect drink so I refused to take it. I told Ericka and Landon that I did not order that coffee and I want what I ordered. Landon said she will make the order for me as a COUTERSY. I corrected her that I'm asking for what I paid for not begging for a free drink. I ordered at 9.35 am, 9.36 am and 9.37am (3 seperate orders) and they missed the 9.36 am. She took the order ipad and checked something. I asked did you check the order, she saw something and replied nope she is just checking. Okay I want to move on with the order but Landon added: either way you are getting the order, aren't you? Well I got so upset, I corrected again to Landon that is not a good respect to your customer, I'm asking them to make an order I paid for, not asking them for a free one. Missing my order is either their mistake or their system mistake, not mine. The bad experience totally ruins my morning. After Landon quitely checked their system, they're making my order without apologizing what they just did to us. I need the right answer from your corporate. This is my 2nd bad experience with this location. The last time I did not complain and I'm coming to give it a try. This is our typical go to location while at work. The location itself resides at the corner of a small center off Portola and Glenn Ranch and is significantly smaller in size than other locations in the area. Although smaller in scale they still offer the same large assortment of drinks as well as a fairly large section of goods such as mugs, k-cups, CDs and other coffee and tea related items. This location is almost always busy no matter what time we seem to come by but they do an excellent job of getting people in and out quickly. The service is always friendly and the drinks havr always been made well. I do not recall ever having any mistakes made here but we have had non paying customers hanging about before who slipped in and poached our drinks which was not cool so be on the lookout for that. The parking here can get pretty cramped during peak times as they share the lit with Wahoos, Urban Wine Bar, Sunrise Bagels and several other small establishments. The location does not offer a drive thru which is a bit disappointing bit due to the area I can fully understand. Overall, one of the better Starbucks I have been to and one of the few I do not dread walking into. read more

The cashier was also unsure where to send me as she glanced around looking as well. Turns out 2 young girls were standing right in front of the cream station blocking our view. As others attempted to get their cream and sugar fix the 2 lone girls remained in our way. This location is in a small strip mall with plenty of parking. It seems to also serve as a bike riders meet up....lots of riders today. The shop is a little small. They do have a good selection of merchandise, KCups, coffee mugs, ect. Service is nothing special. The cashier working informed me this is not her regular store, perhaps thats why her customer engagement was anti social. read more

I don't like cold coffee drinks and I'm not a frappucino kinda of girl. Yes I know this really doesn't help my cause and you might think I'm crazy but that's ok. I agree with you. Who wants someone that's normal? Crazy makes things interesting and that's just what I am. Hence the HOT latte. See how crazy I am. Down right dangerous. As for the drink - I really had my hopes up. I took a million pictures. Posted them on Facebook, twitter, my fan page, blog, instagram and boo forgot to ask for it extra hot. This damn drink started lukewarm and was practically cold by the time I got a decent shot and drank it. Didn't even last the trip home and was a little heavy handed with the cinnamon. Next time I'll take a sip and then go crazy with the iPhone photography. So it's not really Fall yet however Starbucks will make you think it is. She asked about my morning and I told her about my over and hour commute for a meeting and she seemed genuinely interested. I told her I had never been in this part of OC before and she welcomed me and wished me a good day at my meeting. Now coffee is coffee (I know, I know, it's Starbucks and not JUST coffee...) but you can't buy this type of customer service. To say I was impressed is an understatement. This is my new favorite Starbucks to go to. They are extremely fast. During lunch time they fulfilled my order after waiting in line near the entry way in less than 5 minutes. It is very clean environment and they tend to any needs quickly. The only issue is that there are other businesses in the plaza with very little parking. You may need to park a little further and walk to the store, but that's not a big deal for me. read more
