We discovered this place while walking around today Sunday around 5 pm here at the corner of El Toro Rd and Trabuco Rd. Place looks clean, but does not feel very welcoming. The staff is not very friendly and kind of just ignores you as you walk in and stand in front of the register. I understand that they are busy, but I little "Hi, be right with you" could go a long way. We had to ask if they could take our order. They staff was not rude, just not very welcoming and attentive. This will be a step away from a conventional review, I have gone to and ordered from this juice it up more times than I can count (not the point of this review but it is always quality). One summers day, my family and I were at the vet just down the street from this juice it up. Unfortunately, on this day we were at the vet having to say goodbye to my beautiful pup who I spent the majority of my life and childhood life with. Coincidentally, we stopped by this juice it up just after because we were all dry-mouthed and awry from all the crying. Don't worry I am going somewhere with this. Today I ordered from this juice it up via doordash, and although I doubt this worker knew how much this meant to me, they undoubtedly made my day. They drew a little dog with a quote speech bubble with my name, "Garrett" on it. This little gesture, although seemingly small, meant the world to me. I called this places about 5 times to try to place an order over the phone for pick up. I assume they were busy when I called. So I decided to walk in and order since I was practically there already. I am a mother of 2 so time is everything. I walk in to order and I hear the phone ring non stop and non of the employees bother to answer. Again I assume they are short staffed but then I see two employees walk out of the back and say "yeah I'm not going to answer that" Management needs to retrain their staff members with better work ethic's. And not to mention my wait was a 20 min wait for a smoothie and an Acai bowl. Worst experience ever. Save your time and money and go else where. read more

My family has been coming here for 10 years. Lately I have been coming at least once a week, sometimes twice when I come to get food next door at Yogi's. Today is the last time I will come here. I will also make sure my family no longer frequents this location as well. This is due to the horrible attitude of the shorter girl that works here. She is constantly arguing with customers and acts like we are inconveniencing her by being there. I used to phone order but they never pick up the phone. I have been inside when it just rings and rings. A few weeks ago a woman called from outside and watched them ignore it, then came in and asked them why they didnt answer. Both employees played stupid and said the phone never rang to the customer, even tho I was right there and heard it. Today I go to hand her my card and she tells me in a snotty tone to move back behind the glass... am I supposed to throw my card over the top? I get it that she is worried about Covid... however if you are going to be a bitch to customers about it, then why are you handling cash and cards without sanitizing your hands immediately afterwards? I have yet to see them sanitize their hands. EVER. This combined with her attitude in the past and her poor customer service skills was the breaking point. Others have complained about her and she still acts like this so its obvious the manager doesnt care. Well I hope losing a frequent customer/family was worth it. I haven't been to this location in a few months and a lot changed inside. I'm guessing the franchise has all done an upgrade on their interiors, menu and definitely the prices. As I entered I was greeted by the gentleman working behind the counter. I ordered my usual shake which is "the Zone". It's a protein enriched drink with banana and peanut butter. It's my favorite between the other protein drink that is listed. The price has definitely gone up for a medium size drink. Either way, the drink was served very quickly and tasted very well balanced. I say that because even though it's something you could be having regularly, it might taste different depending on who makes it. There have been times when they were awful and times they were delightful. The employees are sweet but clearly do not have a vested interest in the success of this location. I would encourage the owner to oversee the operations more closely. My daughter loves smoothies, and both she and I have been frequent, long-term customers of the Juice It Up on the corner of Trabuco and El Toro in Lake Forest. My daughter bought a smoothie at this establishment after work this past Wednesday, February 22, so that she could have it to drink before work the following morning. As she was sipping it Thursday morning, she noticed something hard and sharp in her mouth. At first she thought it was a piece of ice, but it turned out to beca small piece of broken glass. She was a little surprised but continued sipping it. Then she discovered another piece of broken glass. You can see the pieces of glass in the photo of the half-gone smoothie. Needless to say, at that point she stopped drinking it. My daughter returned the smoothie along with the pieces of glass to Juice It Up before work today, Friday, February 24. She explained the situation to the girl who was working there and asked for a replacement smoothie. Instead of being apologetic about the incident, the girl's response was, "I don't think so," in a nasty tone of voice. Then, "Why didn't you return it sooner?" What???? If my daughter had accidentally swallowed the glass, she could be in the hospital right now, and all this girl can do is be nasty and say, "I don't think so? Why didn't you return it sooner?"
