This is the first time going to the Starbucks in Kyle Texas. It's located right next to the H-E-B on interstate 35. I went in about 1:30 PM. It was slow, but understandable since it's the afternoon. The Starbucks was as clean. The barista was very friendly and took my order I ordered something different. I typically just ordered coffee, but I ordered a Summer ice drink because it was really hot outside. She was very nice and made my drink The Starbucks wasn't very busy, but they had a good atmosphere. There were people sitting down enjoying coffee. If I had more time I would definitely have stayed a while and enjoyed my drink. The next time.I'm in Kyle. I'll definitely stop there. read more

I quite enjoy this location. There is a lovely covered patio with tables and chairs. Inside, there are a variety of seating options. On numerous occasions over the last few years, I have enjoyed coffee and worked online with my laptop at this location. I am giving 4 starts because customer service was excellent, my drink was well made, the baristas were all very nice! I am also only giving 4 stars because the restrooms were soooo gross! Paper towels were everywhere, marks and things on the toilet seat, this was the worst Starbucks restroom I have seen in a while :/ they were closing soon so I'm really hoping this wasn't an all day thing. A giant shout out to Becca and her team at this location! I can't tell you how amazing they were during our recent visit. We checked into the store at 10:59pm in a desperate need of some pick me up on our long road trip. With two babies in the car, we were absolutely desperate for a strong drink. They had already closed their registers and we're getting ready to close the doors. Recognizing my desperation they still served us with absolute respect and care! I honestly can't thank her enough for her kindness and her willingness to be human despite her own need to close up shop and go home! This woman deserves all the best promotions she would be entitled to. This type of customer service is the kind that needs to be acknowledged and rewarded at the highest levels of management. There were many people waiting for their cold coffee drinks. 5 Starbucks employees were just standing around doing nothing and only one person on the cold/frozen drinks side. I asked if no one could help him and Becca just said rudely, "I'll give you your money back." I've never been to a Starbucks where someone's rude and all and also where other people weren't helping each other out. It's usually a very friendly helpful environment. read more

This Starbucks has it down with managing long lines at any time of the day and mobile orders and provides super quick service. Mornings are always busy and hectic during the week but the staffing at the peak times (6am-10am) accommodates to those who are waiting. There are on average at least 4+ baristas moving and making coffee orders at these peak times. Mobile orders are always on time and accurate. Early mornings seem to be the best time to spread your work out, get a good cushiony seat for you and your laptop/work as the afternoons are busy and packed with students (Austin Community College is right down the street from this Starbucks location) using the wifi and staying caffeinated. read more

This is, by far, my favorite Starbucks ever... and I mean EVER. Anytime I have come in, the staff is always super friendly and funny. They make you feel like an old friend that's come over for a cup o' joe and just needed to escape the house for a while. *and that's how I feel when I'm there, as well. I am so glad this one's close to home. I can make my escape from a house full of hormonal teenagers and relax with some tea or coffee while I browse the web and make plans of escape from reality. Its obvious that Starbucks has got the coffee gig down. Personal favorites include the frappuccinos for me in various flavors; soy lattes for the wife. I'm not an addict, maybe two or three times a month. We tend to seek out the nearest Starbucks while on vacation, while around our home neighborhoods not so much. What sounds like general praise will turn quickly with no offense to the Kyle Starbucks because on any given day its like the rest of them. Friendly order taking followed by medium to sometimes lousy attitudes when behind the coffee machine. Honestly, I'm not writing about the staff or the coffee. Yep, its a food review. Sweet toothers aside, the savory breakfast items suck big time. I'm completely aware that there isn't a griddle or deep fryer. For the quality and the care Starbucks puts into its coffee they completely pooch screw the food. We dined in a few days ago for breakfast with a Jack in the Box, Whataburger, Chic-Fil-A, and McDonalds within 500 yards. I ordered the bacon and gouda "Artisan" while the wife picked the veggie and monterrey jack version. Forget Yum-O, more like Lame-O. About 2 seconds after I took my first bite, I noticed the cable guy at another table walk in with biscuits and gravy from Whataburger. He sucessfully ordered an espresso and sat down for breakfast without flack from the staff for bringing in outside food. At least he knew better. I would go for the 200 fat gram sunrise sausage bacon waffle McJack slathered in mayo rather than eating another savory breakfast item from Starbucks. read more

Went in at 3:30pm on a Thursday and it wasn't busy. No one was in line and we ordered two white chocolate mochas. We waited about 7 minutes and had only one white chocolate mocha come out. The barista was friendly and chatting with to the two people sitting on the side of the bar, yet didn't even glance my way. She called out 2 other drinks after that. When I asked her about the other white chocolate mocha in our order, she gave a look and abruptly said, "it's coming". That's when she started to make it. So we had to wait another 5 minutes after our first drink came out. I know it is easy for mistakes to happen, but she didn't even acknowledge it and was short with her words seeming rude. Thank goodness for my arrival. Not acting like a kamikaze; I usually go to the sweet respectful baristas at the Buda drive thru when I'm down South. Immediately I noticed the dis-organization of this Starbucks. It is a mess (I dearly stated in a well-mannered tones) with careless, rude, and inattentive service displayed indirectly. We all work, we all dedicate our lives to what we do. It's a business. I appreciate their earlier opening but maybe the workers need to come in sooner than expected to prepare. Thankfully a vi-working barista put some sense into him and helped with my commonly stated & order. I felt forced or unappreciated as I rushed out. My two Gouda sandwiches were forgotten. After a 13 minute drive back I was given the cold, stale used sandwiches (which weren't even foand made sure to have new ones re-heated. The young Hispanic girl didn't answer to my call but an elderly lady was sweet on my way out. The floors were a mess. I'm not a princess nor a nightmare, but a duly citizen. Poor should take note. Also, my $60 purchase wasn't added on to my reward card in which I showed him my phone TWICE to scan a $113 order. Notwithstanding, your new style of napkins look cheap, as if they were taken by Subway Eat Fresh. Not a fan. read more

I've never really had any gripes about ANY starbucks, until now... for some reason this starbucks can't seem to get my orders right. I'll give them the extra star because I've never had to wait for a mobile order. My bagel wasn't toasted like I asked, instead it was barely warmed. I usually get an americano with soy. At other locations, they would automatically steam my milk which is so awesome! I honestly thought that was the standard when you make hot drinks and the customer asks for milk. Here on two occasions, they basically just poured cold milk into my hot coffee. On another occasion, my americano tasted extremely watered down. As I picked up my order, i heard another customer mentioned her drink tasted extremely watered down too... hmmmm..... Today I ordered a London fog tea latte. On the menu, the tea is supposed to be earl gray. Nope I got English Breakfast. That's the last straw honestly for me. If you drive into Austin to work, it's better to just get coffee there. Plug: the Slaughter Lane one always gets it right! After multiple tries here, I think I'm done. TLDR; orders made severely sub par and sometimes can't get it right. read more

Friendly and smiley staff! I showed the barista a picture of the Starbuck's drink my friend posted earlier that day and asked if my iced caramel macchiato could be made just like that. He said sure, she must've ordered it with extra caramel. I said sounds good to me! And my drink came out divine! I just wish Starbuck's offered almond milk as an option. It tastes so good with coffee and gives it an extra sweetness that I like to get from another coffee shop in town. So much so that I would probably go to the other coffee shop just for the fact that they have almond milk. Hopefully it's something Starbuck's will consider! We've been waiting so long for this Starbucks to open, and it's nearly the day! I stopped by this morning to check it out, and much to my wintery delight some of the employees were standing out front with a table and a decorated sign saying "Thank you for your patience". As nice as that was to see, the *free coffee* they were offering was a nice bonus too! I recognized a couple of employees from other nearby stores, and they were very friendly and helpful as always, talking about the store and how the progress has been coming along. Apparently the holdup for actually opening is one final permit they are waiting on (so for you eager passers-by, call up the City of Buda to spur them into action!). The outdoor patio furniture looks like something from one of those HGTV homes, and should be very popular once the weather warms back up a bit. Road noise was a concern for me leading up to this location, but it actually wasn't bad at all. Worth noting: This is the only reason I've docked the location 1 star, and it's nothing to do with the employees or the coffee: While visiting, the kind folks at the store let me in on the unfortunate fact that electrical outlets for customers are scarce. So, if you plan on working here, come fully charged and keep a sharp lookout for spots near those plugs ;) And Starbucks leadership team, if you see this, PLEASE ADD MORE PLUGS! read more

All trash cans inside and out are overflowing , the bathroom I went into had no toilet paper and was filthy. The floor inside and out side has trash laying around. I go to Starbucks expecting to enjoy a standard Starbucks experience. That's part of the business model, having consistent products and a uniform experience in every location across the country. And that's what I expect - a homogenous, corporate cup of coffee, an undeviating, blended iced beverage with a fixed number of precisely-delivered pumps of standardized coffee syrups. And I expect it to be expensive. Not just expensive, though - inordinate. Exorbitant. Unreasonable. Excessive. And Starbucks unfailingly hits paydirt - time after time. That's not to say, however, that the experience couldn't be improved. I can envision a Starbucks even more invariable, more dependable, more same than the Starbucks of today. They've already automated the task of espresso brewing completely. Fallible human hands are no longer required in the process of filling and steaming an espresso basket. I see a future where the pesky human element can be removed completely. I drive up to a Starbucks cube, and I interact with the digital barista. I can quickly touch a picture of the type of drink, size, flavor, and options I want, and after 30-45 seconds of muffled whirring, there appears a perfectly executed, uniform cup of hot or cold, coffee or other beverage, and my credit card has been billed nine dollars. Better yet, I can customize my beverages to my liking with a specific number of pumps of coffee, bases, and flavor syrups, type of milk, whip or no whip - any option at all, and I can sync with the digital barista with my Starbucks card or smartphone (or the digital chip I've had implanted in my left wrist), and in seconds, one of my personalized favorites will appear before my eyes. But until then, I can just close my eyes and imagine that's what's happening, and it's almost just as good. read more

I usually have a pleasant experience at this location, but I'm not sure what happen today. I ordered a venti drink which had pumpkin cold cream foam on top. There were 3 employees behind the counter, one who took my order and 2 making drinks. It was not busy and I was the only one in the store at the time. I see the barista making a grande drink but brushed it off thinking it was for an online order. He then called my name. I usually dont like confrontation, but I told him I ordered a venti politely. He told me "oh, no problem" I thought he was going to remake the drink. Instead he dumps the same grande drink in a venti cup and asked if I wanted more ice. The foam was on the bottom and very messy. I then uncomfortably said, "it's that I thought you would remake it." He said, "I can remake it if you want" annoyed. I said, "yes, please." He then started to remake it and left half way through and the other barista took over. He poured a small amount of pumpkin foam in the cup which made it half full. I'm not sure if he was being sarcastic and asked if that was enough foam. I told him he could top it off with the rest of the foam. I just couldn't believe the protocol that was taken in my whole experience. read more

Just came by here this morning to get a simple coffee with hazelnut and I ask for a pump of simple sugar syrup. I swear I repeat this four times to the person at the register and finally she gets it then when I get my drink I ask the barista if that sugar is in there and she doesn't know what it is so I'm explaining the concept of their freaking sugar syrup and she goes I don't know what you're talking about. Like really get your s*$% straight and learn what sugar is. They always mess up my order when I'm going through Kyle. God just get your syrups straight or stop working there. Order was accurate, my low rating is dissatisfaction with service. I had 1 customer order before me and it took 19 minutes for my order of 2 cold brew coffee to be completed and served. I told Summer, the cashier, that I'm aware of the extra it makes when getting quad shot espresso in my Frappuccino, (due to the regular measurement of the frapp without the espresso.) I told her I still want the extra - because I pay $10 for this drink. My drink comes out, and they throw away the extra. I asked why to the other barista, and she said, "It wasn't communicated, I'm sorry." They could've accommodated for the wasted money I spent for espresso shots. Yes, I'm that lazy, LOL We moved to Kyle on Saturday, October 25, and after a day of having the truck unloaded and having no groceries in the house, we headed to the HEB for some food. Seeing the Starbucks sign in the parking lot, I admit, I got a little excited. We had just had a 2-day road trip relocating here, and I was limiting my coffee intake to minimize pit stops along the way - and none of the coffee on the road was Starbucks, because we couldn't find one near where we spent the night. It was around 6 pm, and I must have looked a fright after a day of hectic moving in. Seriously, my hair was in a messy bun, I'm sure my clothes were rumpled up and I was just a wreck. We stopped and I got my drink: venti iced, sugar-free vanilla latte with 2 percent milk (decaf because it was later in the day). The barista had greeted me, and asked how I was doing. At that point, I couldn't even fake a "fine"....I think I said something about being exhausted and explained we had just moved to Kyle from NV, literally just had the truck leave our house before we headed to the store. He was very friendly (I'm sorry I didn't get his name - I barely knew my name at that point). When my drink was finished, I handed my phone over to pay via app...and he said, nope, it was on him and welcome to Kyle. WOW - never would have had that happen in Vegas. I also want to clarify I am not giving the 4-star review because I got a free drink. I have been back probably 4 times in the week we have been here. Other than not having a drive-thru.....it has always been a positive experience. The staff are very friendly, and the line moves quickly even when they are busy.
