Perfect location at the JAX beach area! This was my first time going at this Starbucks location. Used the drive thru today and was very impressed how quick and smooth the drive thru was. I was expecting it to be busier since it's the holiday weekend. I ordered my one of my favorite drinks which is the green teal ice latte with light ice and soy milk. The drink was awesome but I wish they could make it a little bit sweeter but other than that the drink was perfect! The barista was nice I asked him for a cup of water and he kindly gave it to me without hesitation, I said that because I know it's a pain but he was nice enough to do it for me. Overall experience I am impressed, I know I will be back here since I love my Starbucks and I love the beach! So it's a win win for me! read more

My cousins and I stopped by this Starbucks to get some coffee before we went to JAX beach. The ambiance was beautiful inside and quite huge for a Starbucks. We went to the counter and an older woman assisted us with our order. I cannot remember her name, but she was wonderful and gracious. She was extremely professional and made sure our order was correct. We then waited for our order and my name was called and we picked up our order. I had the matcha latte hot and it was fabulous!! The food variety has gotten better at Starbucks I have noticed over the years. The sandwiches are wonderful and the bakery items are amazing as always. The seating area was very nice and extensive, and I enjoyed how spacious everything was in the store because it is not too cramped and you can move around the store easily. This Starbucks was attractive and wonderful by the beach, and I can see why people stop here because you have to grab that cup of coffee before laying out in the sun. If I come back to JAX beach with my cousins, we will definitely stop here again for coffee. It is magnificent!! read more

I have to agree with those that say their service is slow. They are slow (even in the middle of the day) and frequently mess up my easy drink order. Today, I asked for Pike Place and the girl behind the counter told me it was gross and that all of the Baristas there also think Pike Place is gross. She recommended the Blonde Roast. Seriously?! I ordered the Pike Place but when I got it, the smell on the cup and the lid was so strong! It was so gross, it was like a wierd lotion or perfume on their hands and it had transferred to the cup! It was so strong, I couldn't drink my coffee bc I could smell it every time I tried to drink my coffee. So gross! Oh and she messed up my very simple Pike Place order. I won't be coming back for a long time and will drive over the bridge to the Hodges location instead. read more

This is one of my favourite locations in this city for the outside patio. They don't have the outdoor ordering like the other Starbucks on 3rd street. However, the fence is more closed in. Life is quite a Journey and tonight I met Two Amazing Wonderful Management Promotable Staff members who fulfill the mission statement of Starbucks. After 58 years of searching for my natural birth mother I was advised that an incredible adoption group called Yahoo DNA Adoption Group/Search Angels. After only one year actually less not only did Chris Hewstone Patty Drabing & Marion Franklin find my natural mother alive and well but they helped me connect with one brother. I always heard I have two and Now I know it's true. Starbucks was the only place I wanted to go to to open this life changing email because it's a happy Special warm atmosphere and I have come daily since Starbucks opened in Plainview Long Island New York. Ms Erica the most wonderful manager and her superbly trained staff were extremely caring , kind, professional and even Living like old friends. My husband is ill being a first responder the day of 811 and thereafter deployed and seriously injured in combat in Iraq. I don't even know where to begin with this place, by far the best employees and Starbucks I have ever been to. I spent roughly 2 years coming here 2-4 days / nights a week studying through nursing school. I sat in the same place at the bar and got to know and see all kinds of situations occur in this place. From drive through jerks, rude or nice customers, repeat customers like myself, etc. These employees always were nice, worked hard and as they got to know me would write my name and get my order going as I walked in the door. Some of my best studying was done here and hours studying for the state boards, I looked forward to talking to the employees about life and the " regulars" who would sit with me. This place 1. Is pretty much always clean 2. The employees are nice and reasonable . If something wasn't right or you didn't like it ( rarely) they without Attitude or anything just fixed it or made something different 3. No matter how rude mean or ridiculous customers may have been they were always professional. There 10 millions Starbucks shops in the country, this is by far my favorite one read more

Any SBUX with a drive-thru option becomes a favorite of mine. This Starbucks happened to move in where the KFC originally was which I thought was interesting development choice, but I must say it actually works. I'm sad it pulls the Jax Beach location a little further north from me, but I love the look of the space. Lots of tables (community & otherwise) inside). Several tables dotting the patio outside as well. With a dedicated parking lot, I can see this SBUX being constantly busy. The previous location (in the Roy's/Bonefish Grill center) had to fight for spots which could be difficult on popular date nights and I know on more than one occasion deterred me from going there. read more

This is one of my favourite Starbucks locations and I ALWAYS stop here before I head to the beach for a snack. The staff here are always friendly and they always accommodate some of my picky drink requests with no hesitation (yes, I'm one of THOSE people lol). I love the layout of this store as well! Like the fact that this Starbucks has a drive-thru as it makes my frantic dash, on Saturday mornings, to the hair salon much more enjoyable. However, my first experience was not great. I had to repeat my order three times and then all I heard was silence. After, speaking into the magic micro phone to see if the female who was speaking to me was still alive, all I got was "OK", not the usual repeating back of my order to make sure they had not misinterpreted my previous three attempts to order. So, I repeated back "OK" and hoped for the best. Now, with fingers crossed, I proceed to move an inch (line was backed up) knowing that I have no where to go but forward. Unlike other Starbucks drive thru's, once your in the line for this drive-thru you can't get out as you're blocked in on all sides. So if you're close to delivering a baby, have anxiety issues, or just think that it's possible that an emergency might come up, skip this particular drive-thru. Anyway, I finally make it to the pick-up window and am asked for payment and given my cup. I foolishly asked wether this was the non-fat, 2 Splenda, latte (just wanted to make sure). This garnered a blank stare and a " let me check" to which I said can't you just read the sticker on the cup as I don't have my reading glasses on. Hooray...that suggestion actually registered and I was happy to find out that the label was accurate. With cup in hand, I was now free of the drive-thru fortress. But, this jubilant feeling would not last. I get to the hair salon and to my surprise, the drink definitely did not match the label on the cup. :-( So Starbucks, if you're reading this, you need to train your staff better. This Starbucks at the 10th Ave S A1A is one of the coziest, classiest, and coolest Starbucks I've been to. And I've been to many, since my wife loves Starbucks and good coffee --these two are not always one and the same, she says, and I believe she's right as she always is-- so much that she genuflects at each doorstep of their stores whichever part of the globe we might find ourselves wandering in. (Of course, I am exaggerating here.) As for me, I love that this store has a large work/study table with electric outlets conveniently located on the underside, so no need for those extended charging cables that could trip unsuspecting coffeephiles. The study tables were all well-lighted and hardwood. It really sets my mind to churn and take off in search of good ideas to write. The store has free WiFi. And oh, coffee, yeah. They have coffee, which is cool. One cup and a refill is usually all I have to pay in order to stay. I just bring my $1 reusable plastic cup and get my refills for 10 cents less. Most of all, I love the Dark Barrel Latte! It's like lager beer and coffee with milk combo, sort of! I go here to study at night when there are ample parking spots and empty tables. So the "parking clusterf*ck" problem that a previous reviewer validly complained about I am able to avoid (Thanks for that helpful review!). I like that it's not noisy as Denny's --serious question: where else can I go here at Jax if I want to study/work an all-nighter to beat a deadline? This Starbucks is perfect whenever I really need to think and compose my thesis statements. Even when they do close at 10pm (or 9 on Sundays) and I really just need to do an extra page or two of writing, the staff are kind and courteous enough to allow me to stay at one of the patio tables with their outside light, nice music, and free WiFi still on. This happened not just once but a couple of times also so I think they're pretty cool! As a former Starbucks barista, my standards are exceptionally high. This store is decent overall. The average star rating is because I've had my drinks made wrong a few times and sometimes the service is slow or lackluster. Half the time when I go in, the lobby isn't as kept as it should be, with trash and spills around the condiment bar and/or full trash can near the door. I'll be honest, I'm typically a Bold Bean only girl. But every now and then, especially with kids or around the holidays I'll step out on the usual and have Starbucks. This time I had taken the kids to look at Christmas lights at the beach and we were all freezing so we wanted to get warmed up! There's no doubt the location is super convenient. It's blocks from the beach. The building itself is beautiful with modern decor and oversized leather chairs, as well as WiFi. This Starbucks was very clean and played pleasant Christmas music. I only gave three stars though because I felt the baristas were not listening or paying attention. I ordered three kids drinks and even ordered a kids size. I asked 3 times to please make sure the drinks were steamed to kids temp so the kids didn't burn their tongues. It was even marked on the cup. Unfortunately two of the three kids said the drink was way too hot. I tasted it and one in particular was EXTRA HOT! To make matters worse when I went back up to the counter so this could be corrected I was told "take the lid off for a few minutes and it will be fine". I'll admit I've been spoiled with outstanding customer service at local cafes. This Starbucks needs to step up its customer service game. read more
