I was down in Jacksonville for a few days and still needed my caffeine fix. Luckily for me, there was a Starbucks close by. This location isn't the biggest but it checks the needed boxes. There is a reasonable amount of parking when you take into account the Publix parking lot. The inside of the store isn't huge but they do have a fully covered outdoor patio that is nice. Most importantly, they got my order correct each time and it tasted great. When/if I end up back in the area I'd happily swing back by and visit this location again. read more

Got an email about the holiday reusable cup. I love fall At Starbucks cause crème brûlée and pumpkin are my favourite seasonal flavours. I ordered online for faster service. As my "ready order" drew closer, I knew I wouldn't make it there on time. I was working from home and couldn't pull away but desperately needed. There's no drive through here, but then again, it would seem out of place in 5 Points. They do have outdoor seating and a great location. Get a nice Frappuccino and go across the street for a relaxing walk in Memorial Park. They have the usual Starbucks merchandise and seasonal specials. I grabbed a bag of their Organic Yukon Blend and, being as how I'm on the road, I had them ground it for me. My main entree, though, consisted of their Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino. Truthfully, it was the first time I've ever had it, but it sounded good when ordering. Surprise, it was better than good, it was outstanding! For those of you that have a sweet tooth, you need to try it! Be careful and not drink too quickly as we know what ice brain will do to you....ha! The employees are friendly and courteous. I like this Starbucks. Employees are nice. Surprisingly, it is a large place with plenty of seating given it is Five Points where space is limited. I usually order my drink ahead of time on my mobile app. When I arrive, my drink is always ready and they have a great system of having to go drinks arranged alphabetically by first name. This is a really great place and always my go to for the best chai tea. The staff is always great and has drinks ready as quickly as possible. I generally use the mobile app when placing orders here. My go to is a chai tea latte with cinnamon powder, oat milk, and light ice. This is adjacent to a Tijuana Flats in a little shopping plaza. Memorial Park is across the street too. There's a small amount of cups and coffee you can buy here. There are locks on the restroom doors, but with good reason. They do cute little chalk questions on a little board they have set up where drinks are placed, and write their favorite different drinks and other cute questions and quips. They also placed lettered placards with the customers names so people can grab their drink and go and not have to dig around other drinks Keep up the great work guys! read more

I'm in this location often during my remote working hours. First and foremost the staff is always friendly and attentive when it comes to your satisfaction. They are quick and timely. They keep a clean establishment as well. The only down fall is that only one of the restrooms work but that's a corporate issue. read more

Good energy and most times a good place to people watch. This location serves the hippest hipster, along with activists, business people, doctors, nurses, runners, teachers, kids, and the garden variety of artists. Everything else meets the Starbucks' standards. Food, snacks, coffee, and desserts taste exactly like you'd expect. 4 stars instead of 5 determined by inconsistent wait times. It's a hit or miss whether or not a drink is forgotten, you get it in record time, or you wait while 4 people who came in after you got theirs first. Updating my review after 2 1/2 years. Everything still applies - it's clean, the workers are friendly, and the patio outside is lovely. Drinks are consistent and they have lots of odds and ends inside for sale, from bags of coffee to cups, etc. I don't come to Starbucks on a regular basis, so I like knowing that when I do come here, there will be no unwanted surprises. I did try the holiday Chestnut Praline Latte (new) today and my daughter thought it was delicious - but it was just too chestnutty for me and not enough praline. I think I'll try the new Creme Brulee latte next time. read more

It's like they wanted to run you out while you were enjoying a coffee. I noticed the manager doing an interview and the level of music made them even louder, and the whole place could hear them. I have Gold Status with Starbucks which means I drink a whole lot of their coffee and it also means I get free refills on coffee and iced coffee while I'm there. On the particular day I was there, I was with a friend and we were wandering around Riverside and the park across the street. Now, I'm only suppose to get the free refills while I stay on their property, but they were so nice and gave me free refills all afternoon long on my iced coffee. Riverside Starbucks always seems to have its inside dining area full of coffee-based drinkers and conversationalist. An occasional person with a laptop and earbuds is peppered throughout the inside and or outside patio table space. I'm not one of those coffee dessert drinkers nor do I wanna hang around a coffeehouse listening to overheard empty chatter. I'm that give it to me large, dark drip, pay and gotta go guy. With that being said, I never fall into this Starbucks and catch them with their pants down around their ankles in regards to standards of merchandising, cleanliness and clear signage supporting their latest big thing (Blonde Roast). It took me 45 seconds to order, have it poured, pay and go. All in all good service. That should be enough but it's what I can do at home with my eyes closed (sans paying myself). The solid, well-earned 4 stars is because I wanted great service. Even as a 45 second customer. I've come to expect good from them; I hope for great each time and they have an extra 15 seconds to wow me as 1 minute of service can raise the elevation and possibly the price of my order. The areas of opportunity to ask: espresso shot?, have you tried our new dark kona blend?, would you like a croissant with your coffee today? Do you make coffee at home-we have a lb of this blend for $x.xx?!. Instead of just asking, "Is that all?" They could use some discovery questions to see if I wanted 'coffee &' instead of settling for my $2 and change. Especially since I was the only person at the counter and one other person was fiddling with the showcase doing something I'm sure was required. My point is it was routine. It's Starbucks for for the love of all things caffeine! Nothing about this wowed me and set them apart from me going to a Dunkin Donuts (which I did and paid less for the same level of "good" service). Hope their DM reads this and ensure they understand the areas of opportunity even for a dark, drip coffee customer. It could make the difference between $2 and $12 as my average ticket. I'm not necessarily a fan of Starbucks in a regular basis. I admit I'm a coffee snob. But when the holidays roll around my whole family loves Starbucks holiday drinks. There's something about pumpkin and peppermint everything that puts me in the holiday spirit! This specific location always gets my drink right, they are always friendly and happy to help. My kids love that they get extra whipped cream and most of the time sprinkles. I've also often seen homeless sitting inside and they give them something to drink. This location is just all around a perfect example of great customer service. 4 stars only because in my opinion Starbucks will never be as good as local coffee shops with homemade syrups. read more

It isn't the coffee or food that make it the best Starbucks, it's the environment. You haven't had the full Riverside experience until you've sat at this Starbucks for AT LEAST 2 hours. If you love nearby you're bound to see someone you know. If you don't see anyone you know personally you will AT LEAST see someone you've seen around R-side and it is that familiar feeling that makes this the best Starbucks around. I love this location even though there's no drive thru. Because you need to feel the atmosphere in this plaza. The view of a man playing his guitar at Memorial Park within sight of our river from the patio or the many dogs that you see with their owners. At lunch it gets bustling with conversations and car horns. The Baristas are always ready for your order with eagerness to please.
