It was actually my idea for her to go in and ask at this San Marco Starbucks at 1980 San Marco Blvd in Jacksonville, Florida. This place is an anomaly. Depending on the time and day, you could have all sorts of experiences here. I've read the other reviews and they are all "kinda" accurrate, in my opinion. Yep, there are times I've seen a few homeless patrons and it is somewhat off putting. However, it isn't anymore off putting than the business people or patrons who commandeer tables and have loud in-person and on-the-phone meetings. Ugh. Sometimes service is confusingly slow and sometimes it's on point and delivered with a smile. The coffee tastes are more consistent than the environment. If I'm already in the area and can walk to this starbucks, it's a yes for me. But I don't think driving to it, trying to find parking, and gambling on the experience, is worth it. read more

This particular Starbucks location is relatively clean and the staff is friendly. I do have to say that I am not a fan of Starbucks to go. In my opinion, it is overpriced coffee that has built an impressive brand on the fact that people want to be seen buying a supposedly higher-end brand (or at least the perception of a higher quality brand) and will gladly pay a higher price for such an experience. If you are a fan of Starbucks, this location is perfect for you. I myself am not impressed with the illusion of a better quality coffee. I just feel there are better options out there for either a cup of coffee or breakfast in general. read more

Combative Senior Staff member. i have no idea who is training the senior workers at this location but it's disgusting. I asked for my usual pumpkin cream cold brew, however after receiving it and trying it, it tasted a bit off almost bitter. I kindly ask if there is anything they can do to fix the drink but instead of that, their senior worker with BLUE hair, 5 '2, arms covered in tattoos becomes combative with me about the drink. I have no idea who in their right mind would do that but they need to go back to the drawing board and figure out what customer service is. If I was being unreasonable I would understand but I explained to the staff that I get this drink literally ever other day for my wife and if it's even off by a slim margin I would be sent back to whichever Starbucks I got the drink and would kindly ask them to remake it. I am upset that I even tipped after being treated like that. Safe to say I will NEVER come back so long as that person is still working there. Horrendous work. Take a course on customer service or get that BLUE 40 out of your hair maybe it'll help. read more

Worst Starbucks in Jax. Was wonderful for years but the new management wants it to be a homeless camp. I understand the hugely important social issue regarding homelessness. Stopped in today for an afternoon pick me up (small coffee with cream). This place is located in San Marco on San Marco Blvd in the area where all the shops are. They have both inside and outside seating which for most part were occupied by persons on their phone or computer. Would have liked to use their outside seating as it was a nice day to sit outside but some guy was on his phone on speaker having a conversation so I just took it to go. The business was not busy and I was promptly greeted by the young lady taking orders and the young man making drinks. The young lady at the register was helpful in helping me reload my Starbucks app and prompt in taking my order. Also got to try a free sample of the new chocolate pistachio roll, not my speed but not terrible. Only complaint was that it took over 5 minutes to get a plain coffee. read more

Haven't had a bad experience in this store yet. I'm usually in this area on Mondays and towards the end of my day I stop in to grab a little something to get me home. The store is always clean and well kept. It's usually the same staff on when I stop in but even when it's not; whoever is behind the counter is pretty cool. Usually have my order rung in by the time I get to the register. I deal with diabetes, and usually get black tea unsweetened but occasionally I get it with a Stevia or a Splenda just for a little something. A few times I've been suggested other low carb/low sugar items. This store is on the money!! read more

At this Starbucks, all there is love in a cup! After candid stroll through Downtown Jacksonville... a delicious dinner at Chicago's Pizza... and getting caught in a little drizzle of rain; I decided to a cup of Joe would be the perfect amount of warmth needed to finish of my evening. Which was also around the time that I realized majority of the coffee shops closed early on Sundays but, Starbucks was the only shop open later than the average coffee shop. Therefore, I had to get past my thoughts of the poor experience I had with the Starbucks location in Neptune Beach just to give the one in San Marco a chance to redeem their sibling. Overall, my experience was great! The baristas at the San Marco location was total rockstars or maybe they were more so in awe with my hair color. LOL! The barista that created my hot, venti, Vanilla Bean Latte used some sort of half and half that made my latte smooth. He literally sculpted my drink to fit my expectations: light, sweet, creamy, and delicious with every sip. read more

This is The New Location @9406AtlanticBlvd. Across from Regency Mall. we spend min $15.00 per morning Not to mention the amount of buisness that my Staff Brings on a daily basi. the young man who wears a pink skulls cap was visibly annoyed with his co workers and was extremely snappy at myself and others before me. The Women with weave / braids with diied ends and glasses w/ a visor she was loud discussing w/ co workers that she don't play that sh?% and that the man gonna wait she was basically aggressive with how she was displaying her body language & while making the coffee drinks she messed up 2 times due to her being so agreasier and behaving as if she was ready to fight or elevate the situation .The same thing has been happening all week. I watched today as the table full of managers having a co. Meeting the same women with the Black blonde weave / braids was so mean to a man waiting for his drink, she was was very snappy and seems to talk very street in-front of customers waiting ... the lines are rid at times and for those of us who are good customers that appreciate your buisness should % Not have to be treated w/ disrespec. It works Both ways to Exist & Be successful. The manage is a shorter Lady whom did Not want to be bothered with these complaints she visibly rolled her eyes and gave No type of logical nor professional response it was clear she has No training in critical thinking or people skills. I'm hoping this is the Wolfson Children's Hospital location that I'm yelping about! This is a very busy location with many medical professionals. I waited in a long line, but only for about 10 minutes. Diana helped me at the register. I asked for something cold, highly caffeinated, and sweet. She suggested the caramel macchiato and it is delicious! I also got a pumpkin cream muffin--very moist and also very good. The past review:This is probably one of my least favorite locations in Jacksonville Florida. The foot traffic is very heavy here with stuffy and arrogant minded people here, customers and employees. I am here now and want to say I was greeted very kindly by the Lady employee and she was very kind and polite, unlike the last time I was here and left angry and upset. Today, they get five stars instead of two or three stars. I apologize for writing a review based on one bad visit. I truly do love Starbucks. Thank you for doing a great job today. 22/365 Hit up this Starbucks by default, as it was the closest location to the hotel we stayed at for the night while in the area. Luckily, it was a good stop! We rarely find a location that isn't good, but we have had a few misses while travelling. As per the more normal way of things, this location was quick and easy. I have a standard order for my drink, like most coffee drinkers, and oddly enough it gets messed up pretty frequently when we go to a place other than my regular spot. BUT!!!!! What do you do when your "replacement" coffees from the last visit were totally a fail, yet again. Went from being iced milk to being watered down coffee with no flavor. I do not understand how espresso, white mocha, cream and ice can be so hard. Starbucks isn't cheap so please be consistent when making drinks. We left The Grotto after having dinner and drinks with some good friends, and I decided to pop in here and grab an iced coffee since we had parked directly in front of the store. Upon entering, I immediately loved the layout of this particular SBUX. It's nice and open with plenty of seating and outlets. Very clean. It was a little after 9pm, so they weren't very busy. Only two employees were working. One was stocking some stuff and the other was taking orders and making the coffee. There were only a couple of people in front of me with no other orders pending, and the girl behind the counter was so incredibly slow. She also wasn't very friendly; no talking... not even a smile. Seemed like this was the last place in the world she wanted to be. Finally got my iced coffee and there was something off about it. I'm not sure how exactly she managed to screw it up (never had that happen before) because the way I order my iced coffee is not difficult. I also know SBUX will remake your drink if you aren't happy with it, but I was tired and can drink coffee black if there's no cream and sugar available, so I didn't worry about saying anything. This is a nice SBUX with some outstanding Yelp reviews from other local Yeeps whom I know and trust. I'm thinking maybe this one particular barista was just having an off night. Personally, I can't give it more than three stars, but this review is from only one experience here. If I return again and have a better experience, I'll make sure to write an update. The location of this SBUX in San Marco is great, but there is no drive-thru and it can be difficult to find a parking space since there is no private lot (only street parking). If you're looking for a SBUX you can run into quickly, this may not be the one for you. read more

Came here to get out of the rain and drown my sorrows in not finding a dress at Grease Rags' dress sale. The place was spotless and surprisingly packed for the afternoon-into-evening. I decided to sulk in my car instead with a vanilla bean scone and a venti green tea latte with nonfat milk. The 2 baristas behind the counter were handling orders like pros and in no time I had my order ready. I really like the wall art as that caught my eye while waiting around. But there was sadness to get over so off I went. My drink was prepared just like I like it and the scones were warm and delicious. I've been coming to Jacksonville once a week for 4 months, and after my first visit, they made an effort to remember my name. The service is very fast and the quality of the drinks are high! Even my mobile orders always turn out perfect. I love how informed all the baristas are. When they discontinued the Oprah Chia Latte, the immediately told me when they were on their last supply and offered suggestions on how I can recreate the drink. Whenever there are new flavors, drinks and brews they can tell me whats in them and can assess if I would like the drinks or not. One of my favorite's in Jacksonville. It's a Starbucks, but it's not like every other one. They really took care with the design of this one and made it assimilate well into the surrounding San Marco neighborhood. One of the best Starbucks in town. The location is in a busy are with lots of cute shops, restaurants and a movie theater. The employees are friendly, courteous and very kind.
