Located on Roosevelt Boulevard near the Publix shopping center, this is a busy location. I stopped in this AM for a quick cup of coffee and a bathroom break. My first impression is that the parking lot is too small and does not have adequate parking for larger vehicles like a mini-van. Plus it is hard to navigate bc the drive-thru lane snakes through the parking lot and onto Roosevelt. I ended up parking in a shopping center across the street and observed others parking on the street and walking up also. Also, be careful walking in the parking lot as cars whip in from Roosevelt and you could get tattooed by a grill vent. Once inside the store, I found the bathroom and it was clean and serviced. I then got in line behind some guy in scrubs who was ordering for his whole office. To the stores credit when they noticed that the line was backing up, they opened a second register. There were probably 7-8 persons working there this AM but I have no idea what all of them were doing. I ordered a small (tall) black coffee but due to the noise in the shop, I had to repeat my order a couple of times. When I got my coffee, it was fresh and hot but the cup was wielding under the weight and temperature so that I had to transfer it to a metal cup in my car. Not a great visit but not a terrible visit, just typical Starbucks. read more

Came to this Starbucks after a long day of teaching. The service was quick and efficient. My feta wrap was amazing and the barista was very sweet. Overall this is a great location that is clean and worth the ride. I will say the line to order is a little dangerous being right off of Roosevelt Blvd - other than that, no complaints. read more

I do understand the mixed reviews for this location. This starbucks is located in 17, very limited parking space and probably one of the busiest Starbucks I seen. Some days when I pass by I will see cars on 17 trying to get in there and to be honest as a person driving and not going to Starbucks this situation can get very in tense. But I am here giving this location 5 stars because they deserve it! Like what i said this is one of the busiest location I seen but the employees here are pretty great for them to accommodate that kind of volume. but of course they have good days and bad days just like everybody else. But this location for us feels at home, we go here often enough (my husband is here everyday, he deserves a stock from starbucks lol) that the staff knows our dog Cooper for his pup cup, they are the friendliest people I ever met and they really try their best to remember their customers. As a tip, if you are one of the people that complaints that they take a looong time to make your coffee or to get your order ready, download their app and it will save you time and Starbucks rewards are pretty good and their app is easy to use. when you download that you can pretty much order from there and you can even leave a tip if you are feeling generous :) and once you put in your order it will be hopefully ready by the time you get there. If you've never been here and are planning on the drive thru, a tip is to make sure you enter from Roosevelt Blvd and not Beverly, the side entrance. Employees have typically been nice. They've been out of products a couple times and once tried to pass off iced coffee as cold brew, but was able to refund my money when I was asking what was happening and why and they then let me know they were out. A bit confused why they charged me for a cold brew knowing they were out and were going to make me an iced coffee as the price (and caffeine content) are quite different. Otherwise the employees have all been kind, funny, and a brief moment of exchanged smiles when passing through the drive thru! read more

I have to agree with Carmen J. I don't know why so many people are hating on this location, but it's actually my go-to Starbux. Currently, my driver's side window won't go down so I am forced to go inside. That's my fault for not getting it fixed yet, but in the past the drive thru has been extremely efficient and fast. I do see new faces all of the time, but that may be because I visit at random parts of the day. Check out their Happy Hour specials after 3PM at least over the summer. Great way to grab some bonus points and get some deals. Gold! :) The drive thru line is usually pretty busy especially weekend mornings. It's been non-stop since I got here on a Sunday morn. Just be mindful of the customers trying to walk to the front door and go inside. It's a different kind of vibe inside than outside in the drive thru line. Perhaps the mindset is you want your coffee, tea, food, etc. faster and the customers inside often do wait longer than those who brave staying in their cars. Either way, the customer service for me has always been great with no attitudes. Sometimes I want to create my own coffee and the staff will work with me. The NEW breakfast sandwiches (Try the Smoked Shoulder Bacon) and protein boxes (especially the Chicken Wrap with that peanut dressing - oooh!) are really exceptional if you are a meat eater. Overall - a larger store, a convenient drive-thru, a spacious outdoor seating area,, comfortable chairs and plenty of tables where you can do your work, it's relatively easy to get to from 17, free spent coffee grounds packaged for you if you garden and a decent sized parking lot with street parking available. It's just great. I mean, have you visited the one on the south end of Roosevelt in Orange Park? DO it and you'll definitely appreciate this location if only for the easy access. Yup. This Starbucks deserves way more than 2 stars. The baristas are friendly and very quick about making drinks. It's always clean inside and there is plenty of seating: Tables, some comfy armchairs, and some umbrella-covered tables outside. Yes, the drive through line can get backed up and stick out into Roosevelt, but even still it moves pretty quickly. And you can always avoid this with mobile ordering- I've only seen one time when they weren't taking mobile orders and even then they made my drink very quickly. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because while there are almost always spots in the lot, it can be tough getting in and out if the drive through line is long. And they seem to always be out of the protein chicken and hummus box I like. read more

Upon entry I noticed how airy and clean the place was kept. Outside nearly just as clean and well kept. I went into the restroom and the same attention to detail was apparent. I stepped up to the counter and was greeted with a smile by the barista. I gave my order and asked about the new rewards program initiated by Starbucks which she explained flawlessly. This new rewards program went into effect April 16, 2019. Once my order came ready, it was actually brought out to the table my party and I was at. This location should be avoided for one's own safety. The design of the parking lot is a hilarious joke. I cannot say how many times I have nearly ran into some moron who is clear out into a three lane road trying to enter a dismally backed up drive through. This has been a problem for some time and nothing has been done to remedy the hazard. This is to say nothing of how ridiculously slow the service is at this location. It must have been a bad day for this Starbucks. I'm a guy who loves to sit in coffee shops and wifi around for a while - just enjoy the atmosphere. I had a gift card and on an off day decided to cash in on it. First off, I'll say to the staff's credit that they were polite and courteous - easy to converse with. Best part of the experience. But in two other key areas, this store kinda let me down. First, the cleanliness was an issue - more so the floors and the tables. The tables seemed to be a little disorganized. I didn't think the space in the shop was used to capacity - might think about a redesign. And then, the key purchase of all, the famous white mocha Iatte I always love to order hurt some on the coffee side of things. I'm not sure if they changed the brand of coffee they put in these or their espresso macho needs some fine tuning, but I hoped for better. Now, without doubt, Starbucks, I'm sure remains #1 in the minds of many who love coffee shops. But it's not the same as in the days years ago when it was up and coming. It's bling and shining star has been gone for a long time and funny that people don't realize it. The disappointment with Starbucks is that they know people are gonna come - they don't have to be the best and so they don't innovate or take the risks and change their game. This paragraph is just a bonus as to how I see Starbucks as a company. And so this review is just one hombre's opinion. A much deserved five star review for this Starbucks. I almost always use the app to make mobile orders, and at other Starbucks in the area (I'm looking at you, Five Points) it always seems to be a complete crapshoot as to whether they are even looking to see if they're getting any mobile orders, or how behind they are. This shop, however, runs like clockwork - every order is ready by the time I arrive, and I think there's been a mistake maybe once in 50+ orders. Plus, a major shoutout is deserved for the staff: they've always been super friendly, but they have also handled COVID like champs. Everyone is masked, everything is clean, and they have adjusted their in-store service in appropriate ways (for a while they were only letting one customer in at a time, which I appreciated). I can't say I'm thrilled they decided to close the SBUX down the street in front of Publix when they opened this one, but hey, at least this brand new location has a drive-thru. I decided to go inside today rather than utilize the drive-thru so I could get a feel for the new place. It's rather small which doesn't make much sense because they built it from the ground up. There is some nice seating inside consisting of four comfy chairs, some small tables and one long table. It was pretty packed inside on a Friday morning at 10:45am, which is why I'm left questioning why they didn't build it bigger. There's also a nice gated patio section outside with tables and umbrellas that is dog friendly; although, not smoker friendly. No surprise there, SBUX hasn't liked us smokers for quite some time now. Crystal met me at the register and she was all smiles and so very friendly. She and I had a nice little conversation about what a pain in the ass moving is. Haha. My iced coffee was made quickly and perfectly by another smiling barista. I made sure to take note of the drive-thru which was very busy, but they were moving the cars through quickly. One thing I have noticed about SBUX that have drive-thrus is that they don't clean the restrooms, tables, or empty the trash as often because they are usually too swamped because of the constant flow of customers both inside at the register and customers waiting at the drive-thru. The employees here at this SBUX are totally on top of things. As busy as they are, they manage to keep everything inside the store nice, clean, and tidy. I'm super impressed, especially since the employees here came from the store that just closed down the street w/out a drive-thru, so they aren't use to the extra hustle and bustle. The parking lot is a bit cramped for those who park and go inside. You may have to wait a couple of minutes for a car to move forward in the drive-thru to be able to back out of the space. It's definitely a tight squeeze. Now that I think about it, perhaps that's the reason the building isn't bigger. Bigger building = more parking area taken up. Well, now that I've finally got that conundrum figured out, I guess I'm good. LOL A solid 4 stars for this new SBUX. read more

I'm not sure why this Starbucks has such a low rating. Every single time I go (at least once a month) I get great service. People are always nice and I'm always able to time my time ordering and ask all the questions I want without getting a rolled eye or a crappy response. My order has always been correct and the food is always just as I order and delicious. The only issue (as others have mentioned) is the parking lot. The best thing to do, if you're in a hurry, is park on THE STREET and walk in. It's not far away and COME ON! We are privileged enough to have way easier parking and space than many other large cities. Just park and walk a few feet and then drive off. Easy peasy. The also have a decent sitting area outside if you're into that sort of thing and a good bit of space inside. I definitely recommend this Starbucks. read more

My sister who lives in Jacksonville frequents this location and only has the complaint of the drive thru being a pain when really busy. We went in today to kill time before meeting family for breakfast and maybe it was just me but the lady behind counter seemed a bit annoyed at me asking about the flavors of got chocolate. I saw nothing about flavored hot chocolate on their menu - so of course I had to aSk and she didn't seem to aPPreciate my question by telling me " almost anything." Well I need to know what flavors are included in "almost anything" as since I'm pregnant I don't order from Starbucks right now. I noticed she was also wearing the store manager apron. Visited the Starbucks today to get a little work done without the chaos of my office. When I came in the entire place was very clean. There's not a ton of seating there is a six person table and perhaps seven other two person tables. There are four club chairs as well. I spotted one power plug next to a two person table. There was also one underneath the six person table. I don't drink coffee but I regularly order a hot tea and it was as tasty as always. All the staff were very friendly and chatty and seem to be efficient in their job. There's also a drive through here which I haven't tried but they were processing a good number of people through it so I guess they're doing it right. The bathroom was clean and stocked. The creamers and sugars were clean and well stocked. I could find nothing whatsoever to complain about this place was great and I was able to hunker down for a couple hours and knock out some work. Very nice inside. Not a big line when I got there. Just seemed like the staff was very non-engaging. Pretty slow which is not normal for Starbucks I have been to. Coffee was good of course. I got one of the breakfast sandwiches as well and was pretty impressed with it. But it took longer than I expected. This place can be very dangerous at times - cars in the drive-thru line during peak hours can reach out of the parking lot onto Roosevelt Boulevard (Highway 17). This is location is convenient because it has a drive thru! I typically can hop in and out under 15 mins when transiting to and from work early. If I miss my early window, the line is crazy long! And typically have to opt for ordering thru the app. On many occasions they tend to be out of things I regularly purchase which is disappointing. read more

Yes, drive through traffic sucks and parking sucks, however the staff is attentive and quick as of late. I usually do mobile orders, so my process goes: 1) Place an order at home (a couple minutes away) 2) Drive to the location and park in the back from a side road versus Roosevelt 3) Go inside and get my order 4) Leave That's it. My order is almost always ready when I get there, except sometimes when it is busy. They are consistent with their drinks as well. read more

This place used to be so good when it was located in the shopping center by publix. I used to go there all the time! The baristas knew me by name and knew my order since I would go so many times. But ever since they've moved it, the quality of service became very poor. Maybe 1 out of 10 times they do the order right. Every time I go, they mess up my order. It's unfortunate that it's the only Starbucks at that area and I have to get my coffee before my 40 minute drive to work. Sometimes I skip getting coffee in here and get it at work instead. It's that bad. How hard can it be to make a breve latte? Sometimes they give me cold, sometimes they give me without the sweetness inside, and sometimes they give me a whole different drink. This morning I decided to get a pastry, well guess what.. it went straight to trash. It tasted so bad! Tastes like it was old and been sitting out. The parking lot here is packed, yet there were plenty of tables and seats inside. I'm not sure if the employees are taking up all of the spots, but it's just extremely congested there. The drive through was closed when we were there on a Friday afternoon. Strange, I thought. I don't even want to imagine that cluster of a mess in the parking lot. The restrooms were clean, but the floor in the lounge needed sweeping badly. My coffee was piping hot and filled to the top of the cup. No complaints there. Three stars for difficulty in the parking lot. We got the last available spot, had to wait to avoid running over people and do some finagling to get in there... Listen ... this place is so convenient for me considering I live close. I have been here hundreds of times. I have seen the quality of Barista lower to what it is now. I don't know what's happened. I went on a two month trip, and I come back to order my drink that I literally order 3 times out of 4 being made wrong twice. If you order an iced ANYTHING with honey, common sense says it will not melt in ice. This is okay I get that some people might not know (or care). What really chaps me is the attitudes. NEITHER offered to remake the drink. They both looked at me like I was crazy. I asked the first time if it could be remade, and this girl literally acted like it was the hugest inconvenience in the world. Then she was whispering and snickering with her coworker. Today, the tall boy barista just again looked at me baffled and said "yea I guess it didn't dissolve I put it in first with the espresso". Ok, right answer but see my photo. Didn't offer to remake, so I asked him for three honey packets and some hot water so that I could do it myself. Went thru the drive thru this morning and the attendant seemed to either be new or hung over, she seemed clueless. I guess this should have been our clue to check our order gefore leaving. Ordered 2 coffees, one was a nonfat Peppermint Mocha, extra shot which came out just fine (thanks to the barrista). The second coffee was supposed to simply be black...how do you mess up a black coffee? By adding cream and sugar to it! Once this error was recognized we checked the label which said item 2 of 2, both cups had same time stamp so it was clearly the attendant's error. On top of this, we were not offered, nor even asked, if we wanted the receipt. We were too far and not enough time to go back so called and the manager said they will refund or provide a correct coffee on next visit. Further, this location continues to be our least favorite (and usually avoided) with the drive-thru line often flowing out onto Roosevelt. To go inside the small store you will have trouble getting to a parking spot due to the drive-thru line and getting out of the spot, due once again to the drive thru line. This location rarely gets our business anymore since it is so much smaller than previous location in Publix shopping center and the 'convenience factor' of having a drive thru really isn't all that convenient. On the positive side, the store is kept clean and the employees are (usually) friendly and cheerful. When we have our puppy with us he is almost always receives a treat from the attendant. My advice for those with a particular special flavor coffee craving, this location is best during non-peak times. If you drive a large vehicle, such as a double cab with extra long bed truck or have a trailer attached, be aware of a tight drive thru and there will be no parking spots to accomodate you easily so you may want to try the street. read more

I ordered through an Asian lady today, she must have been new. First of all, she mumbled through the speaker at me and when I asked "I'm sorry?" She didn't respond so I just kept ordering. Then, she handed one drink with the top already popping off and neither fixed the issue nor apologized so we fixed it ourselves. The next drink was dripping with caramel syrup down the sides. I also got a hot drink when I asked for iced. I'm sure these issues will be corrected in the future and she will find her confidence. Thought I'd share! read more
