The Bartram Starbucks got a facelift and a drive-thru. It's moved maybe a 1/4 mile south of Racetrack Road and replaced the Burger King that had been limping along for years. While I haven't been inside, it's definitely a new look from the outside and quite large compared to the other locations in Jacksonville. It's not a Starbucks Reserve or anything (Google that) but it's an upgrade for sure. read more

Not sure why this place has some negative reviews because my first visit here was pleasant. I had ordered a specific venti ice coffee that I always get and this location made it perfectly. They got the order done exactly how I wanted it and the barista was very friendly too. This place is in a busy area so waiting in line for a bit on a weekend morning was expected. The decor is cozy, just like any other Starbucks in town. I will definitely come back whenever I'm in the area. I really wanted to like this Starbucks location, but it's just too small and cramped. I guess they didn't consider the size of the location and the demand for those in the Bartram / Julington Creek area. I've tried to work from here, but it's so busy and cramped that I can't get any work done; much less get up and move around. I had come in one evening and had a not so good experience. Their were about three people working and the one I assume was in charge, younger girl with a country accent (didn't get to check for a name), was sitting around with people waiting and the others led by example. I decided a couple weeks later to give them another chance. I'm so glad I did. I walked in and I was promptly greeted by a couple of ladies who seemed genuinely happy to be there, it was contagious. Vanessa rang my order up and her smile and humor were amazing! Her and the girl who made my drink, Rachel, made me laugh with their interaction with each other. The other gentleman making drinks, Nick was very personable as well and interacted great with the one making my drink. Rachel made my drink and made conversation with me the whole time. She was also amazing!! They both went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. The drink was also yummy! Hello, I'm a lazy millennial and though the OG Starbucks was only a few miles away this one is even closer and has a freaking drivethru!! I'm in Starbucks heaven. Love the more spacious indoor and outdoor seating here! The staff is fantastic, food and of course coffee is consistent as always. If you're not a Starbucks member you should get on that because you receive stars for each dollar you spend and it all adds up! I usually use my stars for milk alternatives (I get soy instead of milk) but an employee and I were chatting about saving up your stars and getting a hot pastry. Um, where have you been all my life chocolate croissant?! Needless to say I am going to start saving those little golden nuggets for some mouthwatering pastries! This Starbucks location opened only 5 weeks ago and is already showing how much a larger store was needed. They turned the old Burger King into the new Starbucks and were able to reuse some things such as the foundation and sidewalk and parking lot. When we pulled up we noticed there was a lot of indoor and outdoor seating, more than at normal locations. It looks like a great place to study or have a meeting. There was no line on the Sunday afternoon we went and the employees were very pleasant. However, our drinks did take a little bit longer than normal, but I can only assume that is because they were venti espresso drinks. While we waited, the cashier offered us a glass of water and was very friendly to answering all of our questions. read more

Not ideal to be lied to (on Thanksgiving). I ordered on the app at 6 am after it enabled (store opened then). I arrive at 6:10 to pick it up with a 6:09 am alert that it would be ready. But the door is locked. Three employees working. After a couple minutes, one arrives at the door and states they arrived late and were doing their opening work so couldn't let me in but said they'd make my drink and bring it to me to drink outside. I questioned this so she changed her answer and said they aren't open until 6:30 am. I said she just said they arrived late and the app dates 6 am. She continues to talk in circles and says the manager didn't want to let anyone in yet. Perhaps the manager should have had this conversation. drinks are good. should be more forward about opening times as it is confusing some day are 530 which i think are weekdays and weekends are 6am i'm pretty sure but not 100%. although they are frequently out of things, that expected as it is a busier location. i do think they should prioritize people who are actively there over online orders but other than that it's pretty good read more

I came in one time and they had nothing I wanted but that was due to supply chain issues of course, and they offered me a $5 gift card which I thought was sweet. Took my daughter by Starbucks for her "Free" Birthday treat. So excited to add some extra sparkle to her day! UMMM Hannah is a party pooper!!! She was so RUDE when I asked at the window what size a birthday treat could be. I thought ok Hannah is having a bad day but she has the app so all good. We pull up to receive our Order holding a couple dollars for a tip. Hannah stood at the window rolling her eyes and just being mean??? My daughter's app was logging her out, I am holding her drivers license with her birthday up. We knew To qualify for your Birthday Reward, ...you must join Starbucks Rewards at least seven (7) days prior to your birthday (she's had the app for a few years), provide your birthday in your account information (check & had her DL in hand), and make at least one Star-earning transaction prior to your birthday each year (check) Now my daughter has it up hands it to Hannah as she rolls her impatient eyes again, meanwhile there's a line of cars. Hannah gives an even more irritating sigh with eye roll, "umm ya it's not working" Staring at us. I'm still being kind, She has all the qualifications on line and here's her ID? She looks at us like we are interrupting her more important day & says well it's not working so she's got to pay for it??? I kindly ask for the manager to step over, she looks a little more concerned and informs us that Hannah is the shift supervisor??? I ask for the manager & we are informed no we can't see the manager, while more cars are backed up all the way around the store. I'll preface this review by saying that I am a long-tine Starbucks customer and fan. Starbucks no doubt keeps better track of how often I visit than I do. And it is a lot. Typically five days per week, i would guess? So over the years, I've had experiences on both ends of the satisfaction spectrum. But they have always tilted heavily to the favorable side, especially as it relates to the courtesy and friendliness of the staff. Over the past two years, I've ordered almost exclusively with the mobile app. In the ordering and payment side of the transaction, it is convenient and efficient. There is the occasional bug or issue related to the location receiving the order...but not enough to discourage continued usage. It's great to have the order ready, and then either sit down and enjoy the vibe, or take it on the run. But as of late, I've noticed changes in the brand's ability to execute. The shift by the consumer base toward using the mobile ordering mechanism has led to routine delays in the production and delivery of orders. Unless I order at the most likely non-peak periods (before 6:45 AM) I can be virtually certain the order will not be ready upon arrival. That would be fine if it was ready in a reasonable amount of time after I arrived. But increasingly, those waits are dragging out 10 minutes or more. In the worst case situations, I've had to walk off without ever having received my order, out of need to make an appointment. Rare, but it has happened. Another downside of the increase in mobile orders has been the inconsistency in delivering the beverage and food order together. Today, as an example, I received my beverage after a wait of 5-10 minutes. The food (egg whites) were not ready for another 10. It certainly isn't what I had in mind for breakfast: piping hot eggs with lukewarm coffee. It has become rare for the food and beverage to be presented in tandem. I should add that this is no reflection on the team members. They are always working hard ( at this location near my home and the one I visit more frequently by my office). They show a great sense of urgency. However, I think the current systems, paired with the customers preference for mobile ordering, had led to an operational problem that seems to grow worse over time. If I thought that ordering traditionally would solve anything, I would change my own behavior. But as I watch traditional customers join the throng of guests piled on top of one another in the pickup area, I am confident that would not solve a thing. Hopefully brand management will take note. I never thought the day would happen that I would consider other options for my breakfast routine. But alas, that day has arrived. read more

But there were a number of people waiting to get their order. So we ordered our drinks. Nothing too complicated. And then we waited. While our wait wasn't too long, my expectation is that Starbucks would be able to whip out these drinks in no time. This is my favorite Starbucks in this area. My drink always tastes good, no matter what I order. To me, that's the most important piece of my Starbucks visit now. Other locations aren't as good at being consistent with drink taste. When I last reviewed this location, I was coming here as a stay at home mom. Now that I am back to work in the business world, I appreciate this location being speedy during peak am hours. I can stop in quick on my way to work, even when I'm tight on time. I typically can get in and out of here within 3-5 minutes. Sometimes it takes longer, but that isn't the norm. In the afternoon though, or on weekends, this location is often overcrowded. They try to keep the atmosphere "fresh" by changing the furniture around every few months. Some employees are extra nice, and others are just average nice. I like it here. :) read more

They all make me laugh whether it is intentional or not. Great atmosphere! Not to mention the location! I love Bartram Park. If I ever need a brain break, I can take my coffee and go on a walk. I love that Starbucks now offers three dairy alternatives: soy, almond, and coconut milk! My favorite food is the veggie salad. It is now the only food I ever get. This location is near my son's school so from time to time I stop in either in the morning or afternoon. The most recent visit was slow to say the least. The gal calling out when orders were ready could barely be heard if you were standing right next to her. This meant several drinks sat for some time before being claimed. When I arrived, afternoon shift, I was the only one in line. There were two other men who came in about 10 minutes after me. I waited approx 15 minutes for a cappuccino to be made. I do want to point out that the morning shift crew is always on point and I've never had a concern with time in the morning. Drinks are always made quickly and are hot! This location does not have a drive through and parking during the busy times can be a challenge but overall it is A-OK. read more

So my business is usually one of the Dunkins. Coffee is smooth. Food stuffs good and always a place to sit down. The staff is always very pleasant. A couple of days ago, I didn't like my coffee so they made me something new for free. Every time I go my drink is made within minutes. I've never experienced any problems here. It's very clean and they wipe tables down frequently. BUT there is no bathroom that I know of, so if you're on a road trip, it's not a great place to stop with the kids! The reason I'm giving it 4/5 stars is that there's not much seating inside. I mean it's decent.. But usually very crowded so I can't ever find seating. Overall, there is great service and I've never heard anyone complain about it :) read more

The drive thru line takes a ridiculous amount of time every time I stop here. Slower than any other Starbucks I've ever been to.

This location is now San Jose Blvd and Oak Leaf Ln (btw). The last few times I've had less than adequate service. The most significant, I waited for my pre-order for over 30 minutes. Lately, they are hit and miss as to when they will allow you to sit inside. Visited today (Monday) in the middle of the day and they had every single table marked closed. They weren't even busy. I visit here almost every morning and I'm never disappointed. After a few trips all the baristas knew my name and are always friendly and helpful when I come in. It's often pretty busy in the mornings but they do a great job of getting everyone in and out swiftly without sacrificing great customer service. All of their breakfast sandwiches are delicious and their drinks are always made to perfection. The location recently went through a remodel and the inside is really cozy. It's a small store, so if you are going here with a large group or to study and need to spread out, I recommend another location as table seating is pretty limited. read more

I have been going to this Starbucks for many years. It is the greatest Starbucks I have ever had the pleasure of going to. Over the many years I have created friendships with many of their employees. They are so helpful, welcoming and kind. Anyone who has gives this place lower then 4 stars were either in a bad mood to begin with or were quick to judge. There has never been a single time where they wouldn't re-make a drink or go the extra mile to make my experience a good one. I will say there are some new employees that I have not got accustomed to and don't seem as friendly as past employees. But I'm sure that will change after more trips there! read more

This is our default location and generally it's pretty good. Today? Not so much, the girl at the register all caught up and way too focused on Misc and sundry tasks while the line built up. A few turned and left instead of waiting. I suppose she was processing mobile orders, but why are they more important than me or the others here in line? I watched several come through on the sticker machine, and I was clearly ahead of them in line. But our girl she just kept working robotically on the orders spitting out of the machine.
