Ordered Dark roast with cream. Left drive-thru and took a sip. It was barely warm. Not drinkable.

Tonight, we enjoyed Grits Sticks that were piping hot with a delightful, pickled slaw. I ordered the amazing Shrimp and grits martini. Shrimp was seasoned and cooked to perfection along with creamy mushroom grits. OMG the bacon crumbles on top made it so-o-o good! Husband loved his crab ravioli in a light sauce. Never had a bad meal here in the years we make sure to stop. A real gem in this quant town 60 miles from Atlanta. Real southern fare with gourmet touch. Prices were more than fair compared to Florida eateries. White glove service from Sophie and upscale ambiance.

It is a culinary delight in Georgia well worth a little out of the way travel this last time my husband had lamb which was cooked to perfection and I had something I've never had which was a shrimp and grits martini. Basically it was served in a martini glass, which was very attractive and it was perfect. The shrimp was seasoned well the Grits had Gouda cheese in them and were delightful all in all it was absolutely delicious. We also tried their fried Grits sticks, which were very yummy again it's one of our favorite places to travel to in Georgia, highly highly recommended.

The shop has some seating available on the sidewalk on the side and a decent sized dining area. You will also find bar seating looking out of the window and rocking chairs out front. They have chocolates, bulk jelly beans, and packaged candy for sell. They also have a wide assortment of ice cream to choose from. You can get coffee, sundaes, banana splits, scoops, cones, shakes, and malts. I asked what was the difference between a shake and a malt and was told by the staff that a malt tasted like a Whooper or a thick milkshake. I assumed they were referring to the Whooper candy and not the burger. The shop was relatively clean and the staff was friendly. I got Cookie Monster ice cream for the littles and a Key Lime shake for me. To be honest, the shake was not very good and pretty bland. I was not a fan. By the blue color all over their face, the littles seemed to like their scoop of Cookie Monster though. My experience here was decent. I wish I would have liked my ice cream treat though. A 3.5 star rating would be more accurate, but since that is not an option, I guess it is closer to a 4 than a 3.

We moved to Forsyth in July 2021…read more Ingles is a grocery store. It is one of only two choices in Forsyth for grocery walk-in. Walmart is the other choice. Ingles uses a reward based signup system for discounts. If you have an out of state area code be prepared for it to not work properly if you just use your phone number instead of carrying the rewards card. They signed me up each time I went because their system is incapable of finding areas code not specific to Georgia. Their system thinks you belong to another Ingles market and just doesn't find you. The manager finally let me know the error or I would have had a 4th card number. They also won't use a store based courtesy card to just move the process along. Any other grocery store I've been to can do that, but apparently not Ingles. The parking lots and the store is clean. They have helpful employees when finding things. Their prices on most things are 20%-50% more than can be found elsewhere. You can attempt to justify that increased price range however you like in your mind. But that adds up real fast to additional money out of pocket. I simply go to Ingles only as a last resort. I choose Walmart, or driving over to Macon to have a much broader grocery and pricing options.

I entered, and no one really acknowledged me with two other people there. After a minute or so I decided to just sit down. Grabbed a menu and started looking it over. I guess at that point they felt I was there to eat. I ordered the Delmonico steak meal medium. I ordered as a side a second one. I am not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't a steak that thin and small. I don't think I've ever been to any place with a steak that thin. It came out done, and no where near medium. I was still hungry, and ordered the 2 pork chop sides. They came out as thin as the steaks. Hash browns were decent. The Texas toast was good. I ordered the root beer. They did well on the first few fills. Then decided to stop even though it was at the edge of the table closest to where they could grab it and refill it. The staff was pleasant. The temperature was like a meat locker in there. Windows with condensation, and so cold the metal on the ceiling was dripping water. I spent $29, and still left hungry. Now I remember why I haven't gone to a Waffle House in 35 years.
