Stopped in on a road trip that took us through Forsyth. Beautifully appointed store with lots of ice cream and candy options. The bf had a waffle cone with dulce de leche cheesecake and my waffle cone was lemon cheesecake. I walked in wanting chocolate but that lemon cheesecake ice cream was too good! This is one of the few sweet spots in the area. There is free street in front of and in walking distance from the shop. The shop has some seating available on the sidewalk on the side and a decent sized dining area. You will also find bar seating looking out of the window and rocking chairs out front. They have chocolates, bulk jelly beans, and packaged candy for sell. They also have a wide assortment of ice cream to choose from. You can get coffee, sundaes, banana splits, scoops, cones, shakes, and malts. I asked what was the difference between a shake and a malt and was told by the staff that a malt tasted like a Whooper or a thick milkshake. I assumed they were referring to the Whooper candy and not the burger. The shop was relatively clean and the staff was friendly. I got Cookie Monster ice cream for the littles and a Key Lime shake for me. To be honest, the shake was not very good and pretty bland. I was not a fan. By the blue color all over their face, the littles seemed to like their scoop of Cookie Monster though. My experience here was decent. I wish I would have liked my ice cream treat though. A 3.5 star rating would be more accurate, but since that is not an option, I guess it is closer to a 4 than a 3. read more

We had a great visit, along with about 15+ other people who showed up at the same time! The staff were so friendly despite the influx and long line. They treated each customer as though they were the only one standing in the building. Their 1 scoop is more than enough to get your sweet tooth fix and so generous!!! Limited seating inside, but plenty of benches along the streets to enjoy your sweet treat. Allergy friendly!!!! I asked if the scoop could be washed prior to making my kiddos ice cream. Not only did the kindly agree, they asked specifically what his allergies were to ensure he was safe. Extra step, not even asked for. Their shop is always clean. -1 They no longer had the ice cream my wife wanted, which was listed on their web page. She had pumped herself up for the other. Staff said they haven't carried it in a while. It's important for a company to keep up the accuracy of their website about product offering. She went with Cookie Monster instead, I believe it was called. -1 It was very very blue in color. We both agreed it was pretty flavorless. It was supposed to have chocolate pieces in it, and other things. But it barely did. Anything that was in it wasn't flavorful at all. It tasted like a very dull generic vanilla, loaded with dye and that's it. The dye is so overwhelming, you'll get to see it again later on in the day... For the blue coloring to alter body functions was insane. We tossed it out after eating half due to how concerned we were with that. This one should be replaced in both of our opinions. They offer a large variety of tasty desserts from ice cream to chocolates and candy apples. The staff was extremely polite and friendly to our party as we visited Scoops and they smiled and spoke throughout our visit. Scoops had brilliant colors and decorations throughout the store and it gave me a feeling of attending a Dr. Seuss Dessert Party. Be prepared for large amounts of treats and it's worth the cost, it's not an ice cream truck so be prepared to spend a little more. I come here at least once a month. Always friendly and always tasty. They have plenty of flavors of ice cream, which is what I go for... but they also have a plethora of candy, truffles and other delicious sweets. This place is amazing! Love how they took the old City Hall and renovated it to look so lovely. It's very nice to see towns take old buildings and refurbish them to bring memories of old as well as make new ones, hopefully for generations to come.
