I was looking forward to red cup day. I ordered 2 drinks in the drive-thru, one for me and one for my husband. The employee at the window refused to give me two red cups. Every advertisement showed that you get a red cup for every holiday drink. I tried to explain this and the employee was very nasty. To make matters worse my drink tasted horrible. Visit Date: December 21, 2019 I came here to grab my friend who just had a baby some coffee before I popped over to visit her and the new baby. I won't let my new mommy friend be deprived of a holiday drink when she can't get out of the house. It was pretty quiet when I came in and the baristas were amazingly nice. I made a mistake and asked for the wrong drink. When I realized my mistake I told them and even though it was my mistake they gave me the correct drink for free even though I offered a few times to pay for two drinks. I appreciated that very much even though rightfully I should have paid for the extra drink. Based on that experience alone even though I was pleased with this Starbucks I would come back again to give this location some more business. read more

I usually dont get starbucks every day, and when i do i usually go to a different location- i came here this time because it was close by my route. I normally order a custom drink-which no other starbucks ever has an issue with (i order peach juice with 2 scoops of vanilla bean powder and coconut milk) and the dude with a beanie and glasses was like- appalled at my order. gave a huge attitude "i don't even know how i would ring that up?!" it felt real hostile, and i wasn't even being rude. i don't recommend coming here. read more

New store, great customer service, and not very crowded so that makes it very fast and convenient to get your coffee. Nice size store and very well appointed. it's located on the ground floor of a new apartment complex in Farmingdale next to the LIRR. read more

The place was filled with middle school kids so it won't be the quietest environment but she screamed "shut up" multiple times and said "you're f'ing whispering" and "holy shit". she proceeded to throw people's orders at them and was overall very unfriendly and scared many people in the store. Absolutely ridiculous that they close so early. I went for dinner next door and wanted a good cup of coffee after and went to open the door here at 648 and they told me they were closed. Is it 648 or 7. Last I checked doesn't take 12 minutes to make a coffee. Plus. What about everyone getting off the train after work. I love coming to this Starbucks. It's new fresh clean and the employees here are amazing. So friendly and courteous. They'll bend over backwards for you with their customer service which is the way it should be. I usually go with a Pikes Peak and something sweet to start my day. As someone previously stated below, this is a licensed store. I was participating in a star dash menu challenge, I had two items left to purchase and did so at this location but nothing counted. There is no sign stating that they do not redeem rewards. I asked for my free refill and was told that they do not offer them, I got the run down about how they're not corporate and have different rules. Had I not asked, I would have never known. They have posters and flyers all around the store promoting bands, and random stuff. Why not hang a flyer to say that they don't redeem points? Plus, they're closing early today, what store decides to close early just because? Will not return. read more

Talking about the worst customer service experience! I stepped in on Friday to grab a cup of coffee, although the store was empty, I had to wait 10 minutes to get helped because the girls were having such a good time chatting. Hate Starbucks, LOVE this location. The baristas are all genuinely friendly. The managers actually give a sh** about your order. It's also just a bright, great location... makes commuting much more pleasurable! There are plenty of other 'bucks in the area, and apparently there's even a new alternative coffee shop in the 'hood too. Open here about 4 months and still working things out. Perfect if you take the LIRR from Farmingdale or live in all the new apartments and condos in the area. No parking lot for the Starbucks so you either have to park in the RR lot or metered street parking so not convenient if you just driving here for some coffee. New building nice appearance and they have park benches outside to enjoy in the summer. read more

This location does not redeem drink rewards. They told me this is because they are not a corporate location, but instead they are a licensed location. There is nothing to indicate this before I placed my order. I had to step aside and reload my Starbucks card to pay because I though I was getting a free drink. It's not about the $4 and change, but more about the embarrassment and inconvenience. Why go through all the trouble of licensing a franchise and not allow them to operate the same as a corporate store? What's my incentive to visit this store when there are 2 others within 3 miles that accept rewards? I have no reason to return here till they can offer me the same experience I receive from any other Starbucks. Other than what I said above, the place is clean and looks like a Starbucks. Good Starbucks! I may not be a "real" Starbucks that takes rewards, mobile order and ect. but it seems to have an almost full Starbucks menu. Yes, they do take Starbucks cards here. I used to come here a lot when transferring trains to get to Ronkonkoma instead of switching at Hicksville. It is literally right next to the station so you can look out the window to see when the eastbound train is coming. This might be the worst experience in my life so far . Stopped in Friday morning tired to get coffee and something to eat . Walked to the cashier , the girl there totally ignored me and was talking with another girl non stop . I had to wait until their conversation to be finished . Very clean store with friendly staff. Located right at the Farmingdale LIRR staton so very convenient for commuters to and from NYC. You can literally drink your coffee in the store while watching the trains arrive and leave the station. Better to wait in the store with a hot coffee on a chilly morning than on the train platform. read more

They are a "licensed" Starbucks so they claim they can't take the free rewards from your Starbucks card but yet they can take the payment off the card so they have the technology and probably choose to not take the free cards They also are not showing up as a location for the mobile app. So why go here?- don't Go to the other one at Airport Plaza. They are full service and have a drive through. read more

Sometimes it's the little things that someone does or doesn't do that really rub you the wrong way. Manager was rude. Definitely is harboring some deep-seeded issues and took it out on me. Definitely didn't acknowledge me when I was at the counter in front of her in a near-empty store. Definitely didn't like that I asked for the 5G starbucks wifi password after she proceeded to give me the password for the regular wifi. Definitely only smiled when she cut me off and firmly repeated herself in the way that says go eff yourself. And that's how I felt. Starbucks goes down a couple notches in my book today. read more

This review is about the establishment. Not about the staff. The servers are very nice. Apparently this is not a real Starbucks but a licensed Starbucks. What does that mean. Well if you read the other reviews posted here you will realize that it means they get you inside using Starbucks brand name but they don't follow Starbucks standards. Example they have Starbucks menus on the wall with prices. What they don't tell you is that if you pay with debit or credit they charge you a higher price than posted. They have a tiny sign down low by the register letting you know that they will charge you an additional 4% if not paying cash. If you don't see the sign and rely on the huge menu up on the wall then you are just out of luck. I felt very deceived. They also do not honor rewards because they are just "licensed" to sell Starbucks. So many Starbucks around that I definitely don't have to come here again. What a shame. I used to go here multiple times a week. Guess I paid a lot more for those cups of coffee without even realizing it. read more

Some Starbucks I really don't like because it is slow and always runs out of things but this Starbucks is different. They always have everything that I am looking for and the set up is nice and comfortable. It is mostly clean but other times the tables and benches are a little messy but that is in a rare occasions. My favorite order is the passion fruit black tea lemonade and when I went to a different Starbucks the order was awful but this Starbucks is good. It has everything I look for: coffee, latte, cappuccino, frappuccino, tea, and other cold and hot drinks. They sell their traditional cups which I like because it cuts down plastic in the area. Can't give this location enough stars the staff here is incredible . They're always warm and welcoming and provide a personal touch which makes it feel more like a neighborhood place then a chain. This Starbucks is great! I live near another Starbucks, and both are in walking distance. I prefer this one though, as it is less crowded, has not seating , and isn't so loud! The managers are such friendly people! Everything is pretty efficient. My only complaint is that they don't have a machine to scan Starbucks cards, but I'm not taking a star off for that, as the lady at the counter explained it takes a while for stores to get one. This Starbucks has some of the best staff... Of course I am not happy that my stars don't count yet (For earned free drinks), but it hasn't turned me away. The staff is really awesome here and the managers Kristie(sp?) and Jourdyn(sp?) are really awesome and pay attention to detail. For those that commute on the train, I think it's a great spot and will serve a really great purpose for all of those people running on the go and that's because the service here is seriously like a missile. read more

Incredibly impressed with the staff and thankful for their support and service. I was stranded in Farmingdale after multiple issues with the train I was taking into the city and entered the establishment to escape the cold and wait (what ended up being two hours) until the train issue was resolved. The two baristas working (Michael and Amanda) were cordial, helpful, and checked in with me multiple times to make sure that I was okay and to see if I needed additional assistance. However great a company's products may be, service like this is what sets them apart from their competitors and turns an already lifelong customer into an even more devoted supporter. The people that work here are the funniest, friendliest Starbucks baristas I have ever encountered. You can tell they genuinely want to be there, unlike many other Starbucks locations where the employees look and act miserable.
