The croffle was crispy, warm and had the perfect amount of pistachio and chocolate. I'm not sure how the boba was but my son seemed to love it. I've had croffles which they offer plain on its own or as a sandwich in both savory or sweet. Recently the owner, Kelly, has introduced Portuguese Tarts. She said she had made some tweaks to perfect the recipe. The Portuguese tarts were satisfying both in texture and flavor. The tart has a nice crisp buttery shell with a silky and creamy custard that is slightly browned on top. The custard is rich and creamier than the Hong Kong style custard tarts. I finally made it to the Farmingdale location. Officially made it to all the Yaaas Tea locations that are open as of today. Yes, it took me this long to go to the OG though the other locations were on the way to/from my destination. If I knew this location was so close to the Farmingdale station, I wouldn't have taken so long to go here. Literally get off the train, make my purchase, and continue my journey. There was street parking too though check when you have to feed the meters. On this day, I decided on the following: - Rose Oolong Lychee Jelly Milk Tea - Iced Oolong Tea - Vanilla Cold Brew with espresso shots This is the perfect pick me up if I am sleepy. It took a little while, not too long, since there were several customers ahead of me. Besides the great drinks, what impressed me at this location is the employee service! While waiting for my order to be called, a young girl, either coming or going to a party, somehow spilled her drink onto herself and the floor. I didn't see any napkins to grab so I asked an employee if I may have some napkins since the customer spilled her drink. The employee gave me napkins and I gave the napkins to her to wipe herself. The employee came out with a mop to wipe the floor so no one else will step or slip on the area. Another employee asked her what her drink was so he could remake the drink for her, which he did so she could enjoy her drink again. You can't beat that kind of service. I'm a little confused on how a Boba Shop cannot have Boba ready during 8-9AM which is arguably one of the busiest times people typically get coffee / tea before work. I Tried ordering on the mobile app at 8:15 noticed it wasn't on there. Went in person and arrived at around 8:40 just to be told the boba won't be ready until 9:30? The boba here is seriously delicious! Our friends brought us here and we were immediately hit with a fragrant wave of freshly cooked boba upon entering the shop. We tried the brown sugar boba and it was the perfect sweetness. There is no option to adjust sweetness level, but trust me, you won't need to. Kick it back and ask for your drink to be less sweet. Speaking of sweets, there are lots of homemade cakes and cookies. I've had their red velvet cake. Yaaas Tea recreated this classic dish, its is not a super sweet treat. The sweetness is toned down and the cake is very fresh. It was enjoyable and highly recommended. This is all in all a decent boba tea shop, barring a minor (but important) gripe from me. I found there are several things to like about the place: their boba was decent (not too tough, not too chewy); staff were friendly and helpful; they were consistently busy which made for good people watching; the AC and the touch screen ordering system were both working, and they had indoor and outdoor seating. Now the downer: for our classic teas, they had this fruity aftertaste that detracts from enjoyment and also perhaps added a little extra sweetness overall that I personally don't like. I was craving boba and have seen Yaaas Tea on Yelp so I thought I'd give it a try. First impression, the atmosphere was clean and chic- they even had self-order kiosk which was nice as it showed pictures of each items and was easy to use to customize each drink. I got the Brown Sugar BOBO drink with Oatmilk. I was pleasantly surprised to see dairy alternative options though it was my first time having Oatmilk in my boba drink and it wasn't a great combo (maybe it was the particular type of Oatmilk they used because the Oatmilk had a pretty strong flavor to it). The drink came out to around $7, which is pricey but I guess it's comparable to other boba shops. The boba was really soft and chewy and perfectly sweet! I would go back to try out other drinks. I wanted to get some pastry/desserts as I saw them in pictures but there was only Cheesecake and Boston Creme Pie which I wasn't really craving so I passed. I was almost worried the first time was a happy fluke, but now I'm certain the drinks and pearls here are just of the highest, freshest quality! My only wish is for them to have even just a small seating area. My friend and I went here to continue catching up after having lunch together, and we felt like we had to get creative about finding a place to stay considering the freezing cold winter meant we couldn't just take a walk around the block. She ended up buying something from Starbucks across the street, so we sat inside there - but I'm not sure that's always going to be an option. One solution might be for YAAAS Tea to install a small counter along the window or wall and have bar stools that won't take up too much space. I came here for the elite event! I never had bubble tea or Bobo before so what better time to try it. The lady was sooo accommodating and helpful in explaining what each item was. She let me try the different Bobo and some of the other menu items to make sure I would like what I ordered. Ultimately, it turns out I'm not a fan of bobo- didn't like the taste at all. Voted the Best Bubble Tea in LI 2022, Yaaas Tea is a spot I was super excited to try. And it did not disappoint! While there are no seats, the spot is very large and has the potential for seats and booths in the future. While the prices were standard, they gave a lot more bubble tea than I expected. A medium seemed like a large to me, which was great as you really got the bang for your buck. The cup is also super sturdy, which was a bonus. Now, the tea itself... I could see why the Brown Sugar was the most popular. It's because it's super delicious! I love Brown Sugar bubble tea and was happy to find a spot in LI that made such amazing brown sugar since other spots in LI have disappointed me. For me, it was a 9/10. The Iced White Mocha was also a dream. The perfect blend of coffee and boba and I was done. As a casual coffee drinker, I was very happy with this one and it quickly became my favorite. The brown sugar, the all natural milk, the BOBO...it's a taste that familiar yet different and the "sweet" of it all isn't overpowering at all...the ingredients enhance each other and, in the end, YOU become part of the process by shaking it all up before taking the first incredible sip! #bestboba in Long Island hands down! My kids and I are obsessed with Boba tea, and we go to the usual places. Found @yaaastea listed as the #bestinlongisland and had to try it. We went to the Farmingdale location. It looks quite busy and has construction blocking it's immediate front. I got Taro with coconut milk and the kids got Brown Sugar Bobo with Seasalt cream. Never tasted anything like either of them and it was truly an amazing treat. The teas tasted fresh and phenomenal, I usually get no sugar to little sugar since the boba is already sweetened it was perfect. The flavors are intense and amazing, nothing mild about it. The boba was soft and freshest we have ever had. My kids who love kung fu agreed this was miles better than that. We also got some of the Jarred cakes, Tiramisu, Oreo, star berry Shortcakes and I got the Green Tea profiteroles which came in packs of 2. All of them are fairly light and delicious. Love the jars and plan to reuse them. I like the ordering on screen as well, this way there is no confusion on what is ordered. Clearly this will be a favorite treat for us all. This is my absolute favorite treat!!! Yaaas Tea has it down to a science, their boba is SUPER fresh every time I get a drink and the drinks are always perfect. This day I got the Iced Caramel Brûlée Boba with oat milk. While these drinks aren't cheap, it's worth every penny to me because of the quality. The owner is very passionate about putting out the best there is and it shows. I've had boba from a few places and now will never get it anywhere but here because I expect their quality and standards. This is the first time I tried their desserts. I LOVE matcha, and tiramisu and was told this was a matcha tiramisu, does it get any better!!???? I wasn't sure what to expect but it didn't exactly 'wow' me. It was a tad dry (of course traditional tiramisu has lady fingers soaked but this cake was, well, cake). While I ate and liked it, I probably won't get it again (although it's very hard to find matcha desserts), but will try one of their others. True confessions: I drink way too much bubble tea than I should. That said, I am lucky/unlucky that I live pretty far from any boba place to completely fuel my addiction. But when I saw that a new bubble tea shop opened up in Farmingdale, I was dying to try it. The shop is hidden inside a shopping center by the train station. There is some street parking nearby, despite the constant crowdedness around this area. The store carries a few Asian grocery items. I saw that the menu had Buddha bowls and malatang. But I was here for the tea. I had the brown sugar Bobo, which looks so stripy and cute before you shake. My brother had the matcha brulee and my mom had a oolong milk tea with bubbles. The bubbles were coated in still-warm brown sugar syrup. They were slightly al-dente than what I prefer, but it could've also been the drive home before I got to try my drink.. Brown sugar boba was very, very sweet and milky. The matcha brulee had a kind of hefty, earthy, almost-stale taste-- I guess maybe from the matcha powder. The oolong milk tea was the surprise hit of the day. There was a great balance of strong tea flavor and sweetness from the tapioca pearls. Overall, I would be open to coming back and trying different flavors and toppings. This is a great addition to an area that just doesn't offer many options for bubble tea lovers. I'm sad that the store is not open on Sundays, as it is a little out of the way for me to make it here during the weekdays. I choose the lemonade with strawberries. It was so refreshing, each sip had a bubble of freshness and it was absolutely delicious. The lattes were also unique. I ordered the tiramisu latte. It was beautifully presented. The foam in the middle of the cup surrounded by tiramisus flared powder was absolutely the best latte that I have ever had. The bakery had offerings of different cakes, cookies and pastries to choose from. I choose the Oreo cream puffs. An Oreo co vered cream puff with the freshest cream filling was just fabulous. The strawberry shortcake in a jar was divine. The freshness and flavor was light and scrumptious. Yaaas Tea has locations all throughout Long Island.  The store is immaculate. Major update. Disclaimer: The first review was when they first opened and the store now has been completely renovated and is a totally different experience. Refined menu, clean modern space, Fast forward a full year and we've since had YAAAS multiple times and it's safe to say that we will only be drinking YAAAS every time the craving hits. They have this down to a science, with a limited menu that covers the basics. Brown Sugar Boba - wow. I've had this drink from all the top places (YiFang, Tiger Sugar) and they truly blow these other places out of the water. You can taste the quality, taste the difference, and the presentation alone is enough to be a standout. Quality boba, soft, sweet, but not overly sweet. Truly a perfect blend with the milk tea. Tiramisu/Oreo Slush - a full meal, but well worth it. Bursting with flavor, no icy taste and again, presentation. wow. All the Oolong teas - do yourself the favor and add lychee jelly and you have yourself a perfect refreshing tea. Not overly flavorful, no bitter tea taste from being brewed too strong, I mean it when they say they have this down to a science. The fact my 3 year old demands his own bubble tea says it all. I had heard of this spot a while ago, through Yelp of course and visited last year. I apologize as this is a late review but it will accurately reflect the experience that I had for my initial visit. As far as Long Island is concerned, there actually are not too many bubble tea shops. The few that are scattered around are attached to well known brands you would normally find in Queens or Manhattan. When I had first heard about YAAAS, I was very intrigued as it is a small business competing for market share in an industry that is in itself very competitive. The number of bubble tea or boba shops in NY are quite vast and customers are are notorious for showing favoritism toward the more well known brands. The store itself is located in Farmingdale which is a very nice area. On the particular night I decided to visit, it happened to be raining very bad. My gps was giving funny directions and I ended up driving past the location twice. The tea shop is located right next to an Asian themed restaurant and on a nice day they utilize the spacious outdoor area. The interior of this establishment is quiet spacious and I almost forgot it was a bubble tea shop. At the time of my visit, there was no indoor seating. Even though it was raining there were quite a few customers visiting and picking up their orders. They have a nice efficient process for ordering and paying. Using a touch screen, you browse the menu, submit your order and then pay right there using a debit or credit card. A printed receipt is provided for you and your order is sent to the staff behind the counter. They offer quite an assortment of drink flavors that are milk and fruit based as well some some home made desserts. The drink that caught my attention was the Ovaltine flavor (something nostalgic) and the Bobo Chiffon cake because it was covered with delicious boba pearls and brown sugar. All the orders were made in a very timely manner (not that I was in any particular hurry) for each customer that ordered while I was inside there. For my visit there were two nice employees behind the counter working very diligently, Pearl and Brenda. (The only reason I know the employee names is because the owner was kind enough to introduce me). Before I left, the owner Kelly appeared from the back to ask me how my experience was. I was very surprised as it is not very often I able to meet the actual business owner of any establishment. She was very pleasant and quite energetic when speaking about the business. They showed me how they make one of their orange fruit based drinks and the ingredients were all natural and fresh. It turns out they have been in that location for at least a few years. Woman owned and minority business (especially Asian) in this day and age is still very difficult due to the way society perceives certain things. But they still here and they seem to be doing very well! They opened a second location in Melville very recently that I have not had the opportunity to visit. The opportunity to chat with the owner of any business and getting to know the staff is quite a privilege. I am very glad to be able to help support small businesses and hope that reviews like these offer some type of positive encouragement to the hardworking staff who toil day in and day out to take care of their customers. I need to give this five stars for a couple of reasons! I've been here twice and each time their staff has been very friendly and helpful. I've always felt welcomed. The second part is that, although maybe it's $6 for a bubble tea the tea is huge!!! I'm normally used to NYC bubble tea where they're able to adjust the sugar, I've found that it's different on LI. The first time I've been here I had ordered a low sugar brown sugar bubble tea, but it tasted mostly of milk. The second time around I had gotten to classic tea which, I would love to know how much sugar is in there, and stating the obvious it was much better than the one without the sugar because it was much more flavorful this time. So I would recommend against going for the sugar free bubble tea and either opt for the sugar or opt for something else. The food: my friends had gotten the ramen soup which they said were delicious, and I had gotten the Mexican Fiesta salad. Maybe it's $14, but it will also last for lunch and dinner. Prior to a recent Yelp event, I really never had Boba tea before. I don't really buy these types of flavored drinks, I tend to stick to green tea or iced cold brew. To be honest.. I was afraid of Inhailing a boba into my airway. From the moment that we entered the immaculate YAAAS TEA store, we knew it was different.. after 3 visits, we knew it was special. I spent some time trying other stores that are closer to home, Kung Ku Tea, a Poke place in Hicksville. A place near where I work on the UWS Nothing even comes close to the quality and presentation of YAAAS. Even the packaging and branding screams "luxurious", and that's what it is. A luxurious, decadent treat. Heading back tonight, will probably go with the Tiramisu because the ice is blended but their Brown Sugar Boba is amazing too. Really nice part of Farmingdale right up at the train station. Large patio sitting area out front. Love that they use an upscale Oat Milk (Oatly barista edition) because I can't drink dairy and even though they consider the milk lactose free, I can't drink it without distress. So I recommend the Oat/Almond/Coconut milk for a non dairy option. read more
