    Beer selection
    Stephanie T.

My friend and I came here with a Groupon for two beer flights and two 32 Oz. Crowlers. There was a wide selection of different types of beer. The server that we ordered from was really friendly. We did a flight of the summer colors (watermelon ale), sunrise summer ale, killer queen (amber ale with honey, vanilla, and cinnamon), and pineapple invasion. Our favorite was the pineapple invasion and since it comes in cans, we got 2 cans to go which was included in our Groupon. We sat at the picnic tables at the patio outside and it was so nice since it was only just us. There is a huge parking lot in the back, so you don't have to worry about parking. Also, you can use the QR code to access the menus of Chiddy's Cheesestakes and Dark Horse Tavern. We ordered some food from Dark Horse Tavern and it came to our picnic table. This is a pretty chill place to grab a drink and bite. They also have trivia night, jenga, and other games.

Finally got over to try them and so glad I did. A few tables and the bar in front and more tables in back & outside in the back. Lots of options on tap, friendly server. I got L. Bee's knees brewed with honey, lavender & sage. I really like it! Then tried the killer queen, filled with warm spices, wow it was good, took some home. I highly recommend you go!

I've been here twice and the first time it was a bit crowded with only standing room, altho they did have a ledge along the wall, thankfully for our tasting trays. I didn't enjoy my tastes that time so I wasn't too excited to revisit. However, this time around it was a quiet Friday afternoon, really nice unusually warm April day. Tastes - Dropn beets Light it up blue Ready to mingle Red ale I absolutely loved the Light it up blue The guy at the bar was cool, we chatted a lot about various subjects, primarily about brewing beer. Cool place to check out if you are eating/walking around the area.

    Try the Tasting Flight !

My real rating is a 4.5 because my friends and I tasted all 12 of their beers and we didn't like half of them - but it's not the place's fault but it is also their own beer - but I'd come back in a second! My friends and I normally go to Cork and Kerry across the street from Lithology for some drinks and good conversation. The three of us were going to c&k where we spend about $14 a drink + tax and tip and I actually was craving a beer - so were my two friends. So instead we ended up here and it was amazing. We had this barrel as our table which worked well for us and we decided to split a 12-beer-tasting-flight. We were actually pleasantly surprised with the service and presentation. We actually got lucky because we were originally really overwhelmed with the menu and had no idea what to order - a customer who is a regular there (to the point where she goes behind the bar) approached us because she saw how confused we looked. She recommended the flight and really enhanced the experience for us. It's a cool, chill spot where you can get some good beer and have a decent conversation.

Always a fan of new craft breweries on the island and was happy to see Lithology move into Farmingdale! Walking distance from the train, this place is a win win! Although their beers are a little hit or miss for me, I've thoroughly enjoyed every time I've been here. The place is on the smaller side but it is beautiful. The décor is spot on for a cool little spot to chill and sip on a brew while you people watch Main St. They did a great job making this space their own which used to be the Taste of LI store. The prices are reasonable and the staff is chill af, helping you decide whatever beer you want depending on your preference. They do have quite a selection so you should be able to find something in your wheelhouse. Pints and flights are served in plastic cups but I mean, you're at a brewery, not a restaurant. I always make a point to stop in when I'm in the area, you should too!

Great beer selections. They have a nice back patio outside with picnic tables and games. It's a great place to hit up on Main Street for a beer or night out.

Lithology Brewing is a relatively small but fun and enjoyable brewery in Downtown Farmingdale. It is a very nice place to unwind after work. You can go there alone or in a group. Their beer is very high quality and brewed on the small scale. I liked how they were made with the most local ingredients as possible. Don't be turned off that they do not serve food because they are located right in walkable downtown area. There are plenty of food options within feet of there. The atmosphere is all tastefully done. I really liked how the staff were friendly and welcoming. They took me on a tour of the back, too, and I didn't feel as if I had been burdening them. All in all, a fun little place with great beer.

Found this gem Microbrewery. A cool spot!

Great spot in Farmingdale! I was staying in Westbury, and found this brewery to visit. I thought there was no way 7 mikes would take over 35 mins, but it did. Either way, cool spot, and great beer! Look to see this beer across NY, and beyond in the near future.

A "farm brewery", that requires a certain percentage of their beer to be New York State. I'm not the biggest Andy Cuomo fan, but I love his local NYS food & bev work, & Lithology is an example of that. 11 taps of their own product, w/ tasty craft offerings from pilsener to ... beet beer (yes it's red). One guest tap. I came to FDale for Flux Coffee (still amazing), so glad I popped into Lithology. There's a bar menu, apparently (no one's eating now, but it's not yet 5p). Growlers & Howlers to go, bombers & cans too. b/c of their special license, NYS wine & spirts available, too! oh and there's a doggo asleep behind the bar! So glad I stopped in, might replace cavernous & cold Croxley's ...

First time I don't have much feedback. I stopped here after enjoy some yummy Vietnamese food at spring roll. It was pretty empty to my surprise as Farmingdale was really jammed packed. We were able to snag a seat at the bar. The bartender was really nice and gave us plenty of samples. Always a plus for me! Very clean establishment. They do not have food but have plenty of assorted snack for purchase which were all only a dollar! Unfortunately it didn't leave a lasting impression on me. It was just a quick beer and on my way I went. I prefer sand city I love the atmosphere in there. Anyway, check this place out for yourself.

Really nice, hope beers get a little better Lithology is on a prime location on Main St. Their decor is super nice, Steph M said it best "pinteresty", really relaxing vibe and chill. Plus, they make a GREAT IRISH RED (Lith Red) SERVICE Amazing! That little sweetheart behind the bar was super accommodating! She went above and beyond with every customer, full of smiles and warmth! BEER 1) Lithology Red Ale - Wow. Killians was one of my first beers, therefore, Ambers/ Irish Reds have a fond place in my heart. However, I've been disappointed by so many Irish Red's in the past; Few breweries attempt it, and the ones that do, do a terrible rendition. This red ale, was FANTASTIC, growler take-home worthy for sure 2) Sunrise Summer Ale - eh, wasn't good 3) Designated Hitter - Dry-hopped APA: insanely dry-hopped to a fault, not good 4) Ready to Mingle - a sour IPA mix, not bad 5) Mango Wheat - interesting, but not fan of overly wheaty beers Love the environment, service. They definitely pour love into what they do, so I'm confident the brews will be a little better next time! Let's go Lith!

Small, cute, fresh brewery with a changing beer menu. It's a small place so it fills up quickly. The bartender was knowledgeable and friendly. We had a couple of flights and tried their brews. They have a few bad snacks but other than that they have a partnership with a local place across the street for some food. We will definitely return again and again.

    Flights from Groupon.

Did a few flights from the Groupon offer. Place is very tiny with limited seating. Summer ale was my fav, the others were eh. The bartender was great and knowledgeable though.

It's nice to go to someplace new to me. It was hard to find parking because of all the snow from the 3rd snowstorm that is still not clearing the streets and sidewalks. Hubby dropped me off and found one. It's a kitchy looking place with many TVs and multiple levels. The door to the place looks like an English phone booth with 2 dialup phones in the entryway. Our waiter Joe was very nice. The girl who sat us gave us our menus right away. I had to wait for hubby to park, but I had time to look over the menu. All the choices sounded good. Hubby wound up with a Spinach Benedict with Roasted Tomatoes with nicely Crispy fries and a lemon Benedict sauce to die for. I got a Avocado Toast with Goat Cheese and Caramelized Onions on whole grain toast. The Arugula salad that was also on the plate was covered lightly with a lemony dressing. I added Cholula Sauce and it was so good. Another point I'd like to make is that the bottles of hot sauces were clean with no cruddy tops. That turns me off so good for them. I would definitely go back.

It was basically a deconstructed sandwich. Good flavor overall - could've used a little more pesto, but the mozzarella tasted fresh and was soft. We stopped by on Christmas Eve Eve, and it was such a fun, low-key way to kick off the holiday. The vibe was super chill the second we walked in. A solid neighborhood brewery with good energy. The bartender was genuinely friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference, especially during a busy holiday week. It felt like the kind of place where regulars hang out, but newcomers are just as welcome. They had live music going that night, which added to the cozy, festive feel without being overwhelming. You could still talk, laugh, and actually enjoy your beer, which I appreciate! It felt more like background vibes than a full-on concert, in the best way. I ordered the Lindy Light, and it was exactly what I wanted: crisp, refreshing, and easy to drink lager. Perfect if you're not looking for something super heavy or complicated. The tap list had a nice mix overall, so whether you're into lighter beers or want something with a little more character, there's definitely something for you. They also have NA and cocktail options. The space itself is casual and comfortable. Nothing fancy, but that's part of the charm. It's the kind of place you can pop into for one beer and end up staying longer than planned. Friendly staff, good beer, live music, and an easygoing vibe. I'd absolutely come back, especially around the holidays or anytime I'm in the area looking for a relaxed hang.
