This location is my least favorite in this area. Some of the employees need to learn proper etiquette when speaking to customers. Hire people who strive for excellent customer service and if they're having a bad day maybe send them home so your customers don't get the brunt of it. read more

I'm not normally one to ever write a review or complain. But I ordered a Nitro cold brew tonight with sweet cream. The ticket taped to the outside of the cold brew I received even had Nitro Cold Brew with sweet cream. After the drink settled which was after I pulled away and could not go back, found out there was no sweet cream. Paid too much for that and called to let them know but no answer. read more

While I have issues with their political views coming out in everything they do, they do have good coffee and teas. This is the first real Starbucks in the area and you can tell by how busy it has been. I love the shaken ice green tea and the price is reasonable. read more

The worst Starbucks EVER. Baristas act like you're doing them a favor by coming in. Manager is always talking over employees, yelling across the store. They consistently screw up your order. I've been to Starbucks in 6 different countries and probably 30 different states. This is the worst store ever. read more

Let me preference this review by stating I frequent Starbucks regularly. Albeit, not in Dover, but I can say I have a pretty good idea of what the standard should be. I visited this location two days ago and did Mobile Ordering. They state they never received my order (though it went through in the app). No biggie. Technology has its hiccups. I returned today and opted for the drive-thru. Big mistake. Literally was in line for at least 15min (definitely longer but hey, I'll be conservative). While in line for all this time, I observed that when you finally make it to the window, you are asked to hold once more. In full transparency, I have no idea if they have timed quotas to meet once orders are taken, but wouldn't be surprised if they held up the line to give themselves enough time to hit this quota with orders. Needless to say, after reading previous reviews, it's clear this is not a new thing and this location has no intention to fix the long wait issue. Which is a shame, because I get to go home to Starbucks' that value their customers' time and the residents of Dover are stuck with one that could (and should) do much better. 2 stars for the drinks and friendliness of the barista. read more

I am a regular here atleast 3 times a week my drink is good about 9x/10 they are currently training so my last drink wasn't very good but when I went back today to get another and expressed the problem they apologized and made me the perfect drink!!!! The wait is sometimes a little too long (drive-thru). And best barista has to be Emily!!!! So request her!!!!! read more

Starbucks will hire anyone, even if they can't make the drinks at all. If you go inside your order will have to wait for at least 25 min, sorry, your not as important to them.Drive threw is more important then people making the effort to get out of the car to go inside and order. The drinks are never made right, I've watched them and they forget half of what's suppose to go in it. Its not worth the money for the wait and getting a mystery drink that isn't what it's suppose to taste like. Today I watched this Starbucks team really pull together in a difficult situation. Apparently the online ordering system was down for a bit and it seems that a whole ton of orders went through at once, on top of the orders from people who ordered in store. Today's group really worked hard to fill all orders as quickly as possible and responded to customer grumbling professionally and courteously. I was impressed with the team's flow and attitude in the face of pressure. read more

I frequently go to Starbucks in Christiana, Hockessin, and Middletown so I am familiar with the processes. However, the Dover one is horrible! They don't know how to work the order app system correctly and always mess up my order. Somebody from another store needs to train them properly. read more

I don't know why people flock to coffee, but my wife does. Starbucks is great. Now I'm hooked on Frappuccinos, they are like milkshakes, go down good. Food is different and small portions. Service is slowish 5-10min wait some times but they are making orders with 2-3 people(including drive in) We've been back many times and now they know my wife's name when she walks in. read more

My drink was mediocre. I had the give the baristas my very simple order of adding caramel to a drink twice. And then the girl got mad at me and was very rude and told me she could not fulfill my request and walked away from me. I've been coming to Starbucks for years and was so excited one was in dover. I was just there, we wait in line for our two iced coffees for 20 minutes..... I don't even wait for food that long at fast food places before the manager gives it to us for free. Anyway, we get up there and it's hot coffee, so they remake it and of course they out whip cram when I said no whip. I don't mind paying more for Starbucks- when it's made correctly- it's worth every penny. Good luck getting that here. I work nearby and as an incentive and/or treat- I like to buy my employees coffee from time to time. It's convenient, I can order to everyone's specifications and liking, and pay online and send someone to go get it in a timely fashion. However- every single time, there is an issue if not with just one drink but usually more. Missing syrups, waiting 30 min for a "lost" drink, no whip cream or drizzle, using regular milk instead of soy (and there's a milk allergy involved)....I've never had this issue at any other Starbucks this often. I've had to complain/send back so many times- I'm not wasting my breath any more. They need some serious retraining here- I hear many complaints from locals about this place. Corporate needs to fix this ASAP or it won't be doing much business in the future. I'm going to stick to Mrs Sharon, Tyrik and Corey down at the one in Safeway- never had a single issue there. Tyler is the only bright spot- she is always so nice and sweet and quick to fix the errors. read more

I normally love this Starbucks and don't have any problems. However today it took 19 minutes from the time on my receipt, until my one drink was ready. I asked why it had taken so long and the barista apologized and said there were a lot of mobile orders coming in. Sad that orders for people who weren't there yet were getting done before mine, and that they didn't do more than apologize to make it better. read more

On my recent visit the coffee included grounds-perhaps an attempt to prove the coffee was real? It was disgusting. I note the shop has only been open for six weeks so perhaps there is a learning curve! I will try Dunkin Donuts next time. read more

Okay. So I am only writing this review because of my experience. The drinks we get are usually made good enough, but the service was HORRIBLE! I have been to this location twice in the last week, giving them a second chance, and it was bad both times. The wait in the store and the drive thru was ridiculous. We waited 15 minutes to even get to order. There were only 3 people ahead of us in the drive thru too!! It ridiculous. I dont know how it can be so slow when it's not even packed. It is supposed to be a quick cup of coffee, and it has really ruined my day coming here. read more

A pretty typical Starbucks. I've been going fairly regularly since it opened. The furniture is very cold and there's a lack of room a lot of time but I think that's the "style" they went for at the Dover location. The only thing that I've noticed about this location verses other Starbucks is that none of the employees seem properly trained. It's a lot slower than other Starbucks I've been to but I don't think it's the employee's fault at all. The only manager I've ever seen there was complaining about how many people were in the building and out the drive through window - there were maybe about 5 customers counting both inside and out. But all the coffee I've gotten there has been a fine quality. Nobody goes to Starbucks expecting a sit down coffee shop with a cozy feeling anyway. read more

Tried there online system and put in a 12 coffee order and it was ready right away the down side is they were out of something that I wanted and they acted like it was the end of the world when I asked for that portion of my money back because I paid for everything online. They wouldnt even have told me if I didnt ask. read more
