With no one else in the store, I stood for close to ten minutes while employees rushed around attending to other tasks. No greeting, no eye contact, no nothing. When the 'barista" finally deigned to take my order, she was very abrupt and rude. I had to repeat my order, since she was not paying very good attention. I came on a weekend afternoon and wasn't surprised to see a long line. I ordered a grande caramel Frappuccino with soy milk, since I'm lactose intolerant. I had to wait a pretty long time for my drink to be ready (15-20min), but it was worth it. The caramel frappe with soy milk is the perfect level of sweetness. Then again, I really sweet things, so it may be too sweet for a lot of people. I'm glad the staff asked me whether or not I wanted whipped cream on my frappe instead of just putting it on - that was nice of them. Unfortunately, my stomach really hurt and I had to vomit a couple minutes after finishing the drink. I'm not sure what went wrong with the drink, but I wouldn't come back to this location. This starbucks is always packed to the brim. Understandable since it's right across the street from the movie theater and big shopping centers. I always order online prior to coming in because the wait will take 10-20+ for a drink or food. I have ordered through the mobile app and still even then my food is never prepared on time and that defeats the purpose of ordering online if it wont be ready by a certain time. I find myself waiting just as long as someone who is in line. The employees here are nice for the most part so it makes up for the lack of efficiency and them being productive. I have never seen this particular location empty, always busy but they need to be more on top of online orders because it seems to be like a last minute priority for them. I've never had any issues with ordering online besides them never getting my stuff out on time. read more

This review is for the Starbucks on District Avenue at South Bay Center close to The Olive Garden and not for the Target Starbucks, also at South Bay Center. This Starbucks (no drive thru) is your standard Starbucks store, which seems to have ample space for seating and waiting for your drink. There are also plenty of power outlets here, some under the long soft seats along the wall. The restrooms still have the keypad locks (get the code at the counter), though Starbucks policy is to let anyone (customer or not) use the facilities. I've also seen from other reviews, that this location has had its issues like opening late/closing early contrary to posted hours, or no hot coffee available. I've visited this Starbucks after shopping here or enjoying dinner at a nearby restaurant onsite (Wahlburgers or Olive Garden). I prefer to stop at a company Starbucks store over a Target/in-supermarket Starbucks since I like to get my free coffee refill (as a Gold Rewards Member) after enjoying my first cup. At the Starbucks kiosks inside stores, I have to pay 50 cents plus tax for refills, even as a Gold Member. Here it is free, as long as I don't leave the store. On my most recent visit in the evening, I stopped here after dinner at Wahlburgers for a Grande Toasted White Mocha Frappuccino and used my Starbucks app to place a mobile order. I got it discounted for $3.21 with tax since it was Happy Hour. The drink was ready when I entered the store. I enjoyed my cold drink, which was more like a very sweet milkshake than a coffee drink. I finished my drink and asked for a Grande Pike Hot Coffee Refill. The person at the counter was in training and another barista had to help out and key in the correct code for the hot coffee refill. My registered Starbucks card was swiped for the free coffee refill. This Starbucks, like many, they remove the half & half container from the lobby early, so I had to ask for the half & half before leaving the counter. Overall, this is a decent Starbucks store, which is very convenient near shopping and dining and plenty of free parking too. read more

I was super excited when the Starbucks went in. It's 10 mins (depending on how quick I walk) from where I'm staying currently at the South Bay center. My issue is the service is hit or miss on a good day. I can do a mobile order anywhere else, and unless I do it right when I walk in the door, it's always ready by the time I get there. Not here. One time, it'll be ready, but other times you'll have ordered and STILL not have your drink 10 mins after you get there. It can be busy or dead and this can still be true. I had to leave without my drink or miss the bus for work the other day and the girl couldn't care less. I had to leave because bus is definitely more important here. She's consistently slow too. Look, I get this isn't glamorous, and I'm not asking you to go out of your way for me, but can I at least get my drink in a timely manner? You don't even have to be nice to me, just the drink. I've been coming here for a while now since it's so close to my house and have known it's VERY hit or miss, but like a lot of reviewers have hit my peak of BS at this location. My most recent order was a mobile order, which I placed well ahead of arriving, and still had to wait 25 minutes for a breakfast sandwich that was still frozen (it seemingly hadn't touched the microwave, they just took it out of the plastic and handed it to me in the paper bag), and a nitro cold brew. There are a few good people working here, but unfortunately there's a lot of employees who can't seem to muster enough energy to care about doing their job well or treating customers like human beings (I get the irony here as I also work in the service industry and get shit on constantly but I try to go out of my way to be nice to them to no avail). That said, I seem to have the most luck on weekday mornings, just know any other time/day is a crapshoot. read more

COVID aside, the store delays openings some mornings, yet doesn't update the Starbucks app to reflect those changes. For example, I placed an order at 7:40 am, the app said 7-9 minutes to be prepared and when I arrived at 7:50 am, the store wasn't open. I went back at 8:20 and there was a line of 10 people to get into the store to pick up their order. This has happened on multiple occasions. This Starbucks is very close to where I live and I order off of UberEats from here almost every Tuesday Friday and Saturday and I usually get the same thing , a creme based s'mores Frappuccino, and every time I always receive the coffee based version. I can not drink coffee and it has just been a waste of $7 and I can't even enjoy the drink I have paid for and waited for. And in addition to that, they also forget the straws more often they you would think. My friend has called this location and asked them to be more careful with reading the label, I do not know if it is just easier for them to make the coffee one but I also work at a restaurant and make drinks and I don't make what is easier for me I make what the customer wanted and ordered.
