This is a particularly nice, new (well it's new to me, I guess it's actually five and one half years old--time flies and it's still very shiny) Starbucks. There's a well-designed drive through, a large parking lot, and a huge interior with lots of seating and a large counter. It's very prominently placed at the southeast corner of Broadway and Virginia. The parking lot entrance is just behind the building, off Virginia. You need to go a bit further east on Virginia to enter the alley which leads to the drive through entrance. The store is very clean, the staff is efficient, and this is a great place to get a quiet coffee and relax or to get some work done. read more

Went to the Safeway Starbucks and ordered a drink while I shopped. It wasn't made right so I came to this location and Sarah fixed my drink with no issues. She was very attentive and apologetic even though it was not this location's fault. The baristas remade my drink correctly and were friendly all around. LARGE!! I'm excited to see a new Starbucks in the area. This one is very spacious and modern. There's a giant bar with stools along one side, so you will have better luck finding a seat during busy hours. The flooring is all concrete, which adds to the modern look. The drive-thru is set up for speed, which is a great thing when you're in a hurry. Parking is not all that, so you might have to get creative sometimes. The coffee, of course, is stupendous!! I swung by today to get a quick coffee. When I pulled up, there were three cones blocking part of the parking lot around what looked like massive puddles. But there was a clear 10-15 ft gap between cones and several cars in the parking lot that made it appear they were still open. There was no sign FACING THE STREET saying anything about them being closed. So as you're pulling in from Lincoln all you see is a sign marketing their latest drink and a gap between cones making you think "oh, maybe they had some flooding outside" as it was down pouring at the time. I pull in, walk up to the (unlocked) door, and the place is torn apart inside. I literally didn't care and figured "ah they're dealing with something in here" and walked back to my car. When I turn around from the door there is a sign saying they had no water pressure. It wasn't facing the street, but the building itself, which of course makes zero sense but again I'm like "no biggie they're probably dealing with a lot." As I get in my car I see a guy with a neck beard inside the drive thru window, pointing at at his head yelling "stupid!" I'm like "wait is this guy mad at me? It looks like they coned off some puddles by the drive thru. I saw coats inside. To a person who DOESN'T KNOW WHAT's GOING ON it looked like they may still be open. There's no sign saying they're closed that's facing the entrance to the parking lot. It's 6:30p on a Wednesday. Why wouldn't I think they're open? What's his issue?" So I pull out and another neck beard comes storming outside BERATING me from the parking lot. I pull up next to him and ask "excuse me?" And he's just swearing and screaming at me. He proceeds to move the cones to block the endurance. So I said "I didn't move those, you know that right? There's nothing indicating you're closed." He just kept shaking his head and berating me. Like, screaming like a lunatic. I pull up in the street to a light and some girl is looking at me. I'm trying to indicate to her the cones were not blocking the parking lot entrance (obviously someone moved them that wasn't me and they never stopped to consider that) and she's just shaking her head at me. I turn the corner and neck beard #1 is mockingly smiling and waving goodbye at me. Keep in mind I never did a single rude or inconsiderate thing to them. Total lunatics. I want to give this place 1 star because of the consistently AWFUL customers who are around this area of town. Crazy Karens who will honk at you in the drive thru for "cutting you in line". There is an entrance both from the main road and the alley, so there's a lot of cars honking or hand waving like sea gulls squawking at one another "mine mine" for their morning cup. Be aware of a morning rush Ryans who will hit your car IN THE DRIVE THRU and then proceed to DRIVE AWAY. It is awful such things happen, but even sadder than this man didn't get his coffee... so in turn, did not THINK before acting and drove away. That hit and run ticket is really going to cost him a lot of money he could have spent on good ol Starbs. They constantly close early. I understand there's a staff shortage, but if I come in and order you should tell me your about to close early BEFORE I order instead of the exact same person I just ordered from coming over to my table 5 minutes later and telling me they're about to close an hour early today. And no they hadn't put up a sign on the door I checked. Yesterday (Friday) they (I think) had just closed at 1:00 pm (posted closing 7:30 pm) when I came up to the door and it was locked. Again no sign on the door yet with any explanation. Just locked. I saw them still taking drive thru orders, but they shut it down soon after with very obvious signs saying they were closed. Starbucks is a convenience, not a necessity. But it's become neither. I'm out. Hopefully my quality of life thrives from my new lifestyle omission. read more

A Starbucks with Room to Grow I frequent this Starbucks once a week for a work meeting. The inside is very large, clean aside from the few crumbs on my table, and seat about 50 customers. Be prepare if you're parking during peak hours because the lot fills up fast. I would encourage you to ride a bike since the Broadway bike lane ends at their front door. The staff is welcoming, but one employee always seems a little standoffish in the morning. You'll get your standard Starbucks order here, but it won't be a life changing experience. I usually by this location on my way into work each night. Tonight, I asked for a straw and the barista literally closed the window in my face. While I sat there for a minute to see if she would come back, she looked directly at me and then walked away from the window so I couldn't see her at all. Happy to have found a new Starbucks in the city that has plenty of parking and seating!!! I avoid so many coffee shops in Denver because there is nowhere to park and once you finally get inside, all the tiny tables are taken and there are no outlets to be found. I work remotely, so this is huge for me. Anyway, this Starbucks is very large and open with a multitude of windows so it's bright and inviting. Wifi signal is strong and outlets are plentiful. They did just open and I understand growing pains but someone needs to buckle down and fix some issues. First, please start ordering enough sandwiches. I come here a lot because I live just around corner and coffee and a breakfast sandwich is nice. They never have the sandwich I want and often do not have the second choice sandwich. They lie and tell me it's a factory problem. Come on, grow up. How come I'm paying for a 5$ coffee that tastes like water and butthole. Easily my favorite SB in downtown. It's clean. The workers are friendly and fast. It's got a ton of room and lots of people working here. My only complaint is that, because it's open and hard walls/floors, it's incredibly loud when steamers, music, and customers are all going at once. Every team member is extremely friendly- but I find Sue to be very standoffish and rude. She would not let me pay with a $50 bill for a $10 total - which was frustrating. I don't know if that was policy- or if she was just too disengaged to make change. Other days, I come in friendly and chipper just to have her seem bored and unfriendly. So little milk it looked and tasted like muddy black coffee. No worries we all make mistakes, went back through and asked for "an appropriate amount", not 'a lot' of milk and this time got a cold cup of milk with a few drops of coffee in it, a stunt which can only have been thought hilarious by whoever made it. Beautiful big store, but tables were not cleaned off- had to wipe ourselves, restroom not cleaned. Asked for Via instant coffee to purchase and couldn't get what I wanted. If they are really busy then go inside or somewhere else. A few weeks ago I ordered a really simple drink in the drive thru: iced coffee with cream and no sugar... and it was wrong. The young man at the window seemed a bit overwhelmed and was more concerned with the customer on his headset than with me at the window. He is also the reason why my drink was wrong to begin with because the label on the cup was incorrect. It would have been a one star rating, but the iced coffee actually tasted good after I put cream in it at the gas station down the street. read more
