Stood in line as the manager was on the phone taking an order, no biggie. However, the two coworkers behind her never acknowledged me. The manager NEVER LOOKED UP. A friend who had placed an order a few minutes before I got there was picking hers up, says to the two employees, can she order? The one girl says, "Yes, right there." Victoria is the absolute worst every time I come in. When you need anything, she usually pretends your not even there for around a minute before acknowledgment for something simple like a pup cup. But today her behavior crossed the line, so her supervisor needs to know... When they made my drink wrong by leaving out the cinnamon pumps, she told me that "the nitro doesn't come with sweetener." After my experience with this Starbucks location 4023 Lemmon Ave today. I will never purchase another coffee here Agin. The most disrespectful and embarrassing thing happened to me today. I am a Starbucks reward member, and I had two coupon's one I used yesterday and one I was using today. The coupon was only valid upon purchase of another item, so I purchased another item. I was doing everything correct I went to pay the girl with short pink hair she said that will be $5.30 I said OK no problem. I went to make a payment it only charged my card for $5.00 she aggressively said you owe 12 cents I respectfully said I would go get the 12 cents and return if she could remake my beverage, she Rudley said yeah... I come back to pay the remaining 12 cents after she ran my credit card for $5.00. I went to pay she Rudley and aggressively said we refuse service to you with all of the employees laughing in the background. I said I would like to have my drink since I paid for it, she said I canceled out your order. I was never treated so poorly from Starbucks when I spend money with them all the time. I was so humiliated and mistreated by the Manager with short pink hair. I hope this never happens to anyone else again she needs to be fired she completely ruined my day. It was such a bad experience I did turn this location and her into Corporate and filed with the BBB. I think this is my favorite Starbucks I've encountered in Dallas so far. The interior is so chic and there were clear indicators of human decency such as a "welcome home" sign for the LGBTQIA+ community. I was disappointed that a lot of coffee shops in the area are closed during the evening and ended up going to Starbucks. Thanks for being on (almost) every corner and staying open late, Starbucks. I admit I was taken aback by this location. It doesn't look like much from the outside but is actually spacious and really modern-looking on the inside. They also have a big outside patio on the side. I came on a Wednesday evening around 6pm and took the last parking spot in the front. There were plenty of empty tables and seats inside and abundant outlets on the sides. I was happy to find a Starbucks that isn't crowded and loud with conversation or music. There were some business meetings going on, but I was able to zone them out and focus on my work. Lastly, the baristas are friendly here! They greeted me as I entered and were full of smiles. I'll preface by saying that as long as it is Starbucks coffee, I'm normally satisfied. I'm known for driving well out of my way, passing numerous other coffee houses, just to get my staple: a Venti Blonde roast. However, half of the reason I fell in love with SB many years ago was the atmosphere...the ambiance. In grad school, I wrote a paper about how SB had transcended being just a coffee shop, and was really a community - a meeting of the minds to discuss life and politics, to work and celebrate. For many years now, I would call it my second home. So while the coffee is still the same at this location, it doesn't possess the Starbucks "vibe." The essence of SB is not here. People yes. Baristas yes. The butterfly feeling, no. In fact, when I first moved to the Medical District from The Village area near Northpark, I would still wake up and drive back to my comfortable Starbucks on Caruth Haven. That location became my own haven, where each morning I was welcome by my first name and a smile. It was the way I started each morning. But as time passed, I realized that I was was spending an extra 30 minutes driving well out of my way to "feel" the warm and fuzzy that I had grown accustomed to. I come to this location 6-7 days a week and let me tell you they are consistent! I used to work for Starbucks for 5 years and I know the workload these Baristas have. Every time I come here my drink is ready (mobile ordering) yet they have learned me and ensure to acknowledge me. I spend hours in the cafe working via WiFi and get to see them working through peak periods and slow periods. They are constantly pushing through as a team AND they seem to have fun doing it too! I am sick and my days are numbered. I waited in this line for 20 minutes for them to tell me they ran out of supplies required to make a medicine ball tea. I had cars behind me and cars infront of me so I was trapped. I ended up waiting about 30 minutes and was left without aid to my medical condition forcing me to go to a different location which of course as a respectable business establish had the supplies and didn't waste my time. I have no complaints about this Starbucks, I had a good experience here. The store was clean and the employees were friendly. There was no wait, which was nice, and the barista helped me select a low-calorie holiday beverage. I went with a short Holiday Spice Flat White with non-fat milk. Small, yummy, cute, and more than likely under 100 calories. I got my drink quickly and settled in at a table in the corner. The Starbucks was bustling, probably because it was a very cold night and nobody wanted to be outside. No one bothered me, I sat and read my book and finished my drink and left after a little while. This Starbucks is interesting... it's a cafe only store (which is the way a coffeehouse SHOULD be!). There are tables/chairs for conversations/working, but no comfy chairs. The drinks are average. Nothing too crazy, but they have to streamline their drink process... I get that. The employee morale seems to be a bit low here... they don't seem super happy. (even though they're in the super happy part of town! Get it? it's a joke). Anyway, this is your average Starbucks location. Nothing too great or over the top, average drinks, and a better work environment than a cubicle I suppose! I'd say if you're in the neighborhood, it's worth a shot. Yes, I love Starbucks, and I'd probably go to any location to get my caffeine fix. However, this location is my favorite because of two reasons: 1. The people working there are genuinely friendly and provide great customer service. 2. They know how to make consistently delicious drinks. You'd think that all Starbucks drinks should taste the same no matter where you go, but that is not always the case. The actual store is on the smaller side, and therefore the seating isn't as cozy as some other locations. Something to keep in mind if you are looking to camp out and write your next romance novel. This place always has a nasty smoke smell to it. It smells dirty. The people who work here are not nice or friendly upon entering. The seating is always sparse, there is never enough seating and the place isn't that big to begin with. If given a chance go support your local mom and pop coffee shop. read more

Dirty, old, disorganized and SLOW. My husband and I bought a townhouse like 3 blocks from this starbucks, but I actually drive to the Rawlins or Inwood stores to avoid going in here. They once forgot to make my drink, when I told them they claimed I had not paid (I had), then made the wrong drink. I walked out $4.06 poorer without my coffee. I actually think some of the employees here discriminate against straight women. I'm clearly not what they are looking for in a date, so they can barely keep their attention on me long enough to take my order. Forget it, I'll drive down to the Inwood store. I dropped by to grab a drink (iced caramel macchiato), the service was good. You can actually walk up and place your order, which is pretty cool. This Starbucks is ALWAYS busy but the wait is never longer than probably 5 minutes tops. They're clean, even the bathroom smells clean which in most single stall establishments seems to be difficult to handle, but not here! The staff is friendly and not that forced type where you know that they're cussing you out in their head but put on a fake smile just to make it through their shift! Parking can be difficult at times as it's located in a small strip with other businesses and there is no drive thru but that's really the only semi negative things I can say about this location. I went to this location a week ago and was in need of a drink recommendation. My barista was super friendly (it was the day before Thanksgiving and she was in an amazing mood!) and took the time to ask what flavors I liked, and made me an "undertow." I had never heard of this drink before, but it was amazing! A shot of espresso with soy milk and vanilla syrup. She clearly had some skills. So I went back this weekend to get another. Too bad for me that the dude who was waiting on me was not friendly in the least. I told him I wanted an "undertow" and he just smirked, and then looked over at the other barista and asked her something about how they ring up that kind of drink. I asked him if I was saying it incorrectly, but he didn't respond and just continued typing into the computer. He charged me at least a dollar more for the drink than the barista from the previous week. Already feeling annoyed and like I was not in on the joke the baristas clearly were having with one another, I was again disappointed when I got my drink and it was hardly HALF the size as the one I got from the prior week, and tasted like there was no syrup whatsoever. It was cold and gross. By this time, we were back at our car (we ordered to-go) and my husband encouraged me to bring it back to them and get something else. Not wanting to be laughed at further, I just accepted that I wasted $3.50 and moved on with my life.
