Did not give me a stopper today, coffee everywhere
    Sam K.

Sorry but I'm giving 3 stars because Reia ruined this experience for me today by giving me attitude about how the Starbucks rewards program works. The other times (about 5 to 10) that I have came to this location have been good experiences. I choose to come to this Starbucks regularly because it's slower and usually has good service... but IT IS really inconvenient to get in and out of it you're familiar with the intersection of Military Highway & Woodlake, and I will stop coming if the service is going to continue to go downhill. I know we are all stressed out right now due to the corona virus, but please don't take it out on your customers that are trying to give your company business while we should be home in quarantine. Also you didn't give me one of those little stoppers and my drink spilled on my drive home.

This new Starbucks is in a neat location, right on Sentinel Dr by the Battlefield Blvd I64 connection and Military Hwy. The inside is pretty spacious and roomy with nice long tables to sit and network at. It has a unique low bar allowing vertical space to be utilized. You can also sit at the bar and stare down the counter. There's tons of plugs along the wall if you need to hang and charge too. I thought the service was a tad slow in line and for drink prep (6 min from sticker time to my hand). Counters and a table were sticky from prior visits, so I docked a star for these reasons. Definitely would be something improved once it's been more than 3 weeks of being open.

SLOWEST STARBUCKS DRIVE THRU IN THE AREA! Go to a different location for sure. You wait almost 30 minutes in the drive thru.

My husband and I are regulars at Big Ugly but I've never taken the opportunity to try Taxus Street until this week. I tried to come on Monday and quickly learned they were closed, so returned the following day. They operate inside the brewery and have a nice setup in the corner. There is lots of seating - bars and high tops - and it's a great spot for a morning gathering. There was a meeting in the upstairs loft happening during my visit. The barista who assisted me was working solo. She was super friendly and happy to answer my questions. I was glad to hear they offer decaf espresso. I opted to try one of their seasonal lattes - the Mounds Bar latte with almond milk, mocha and coconut cold foam. It took only a few minutes for my order to be prepared. I did find the drink to be slightly sweet for my taste and would ask for half sweet on my next visit. For the lactose intolerant, they have almond and oat milk options. They also have several pastries and some hot food options to choose from like overnight oats and breakfast burritos from Burrito Perdido. I was really pleased with my recent visit and I'll be happy to come back soon!

There's barstool seating at the countertop facing the grill and a few chairs at a carved wooden tabletop facing the large window. RoJo Coffee also has some outdoor seating options under a large tree. The menu is very impressive with specialty lattes and teas, and energy drinks, too. The breakfast and lunch menu offers a variety that's sure to please everyone's taste buds. I truly enjoyed the Belgian Waffle that comes with their house made mixed berry compote and powdered sugar, along with pure maple syrup, and house whipped cream. I liked how the chilled compote, syrup, and whipped cream were served in separate containers so that I could dip! Nice touch! The Belgian Waffle was fluffy and tasty! I also enjoyed my choice of The Lola (White Snickerdoodle Latte) specialty latte with oak milk (extra charge) that features white mocha, cinnamon & vanilla. My husband really liked his order of the Breakfast Burrito with bacon, noting how tasty their house salsa was. His specialty latte was The Moose which is their honey roasted peanut latte (toasted marshmallow, peanut butter & honey). Our orders were taken by the mother of one of the owners. She was very friendly and pleasant, telling us to take our time looking over the menu. She pointed out the month of May specials, and you could tell how happy she was to support this small business. We're thankful to have such a wonderful breakfast and lunch option with specialty beverages on the south side of the Great Bridge Locks. IYKYK

The environment didn't appear to be well maintained, and it made the experience feel unsanitary. What concerned me the most was watching an employee fill my boyfriend's iced coffee with tap water directly from the sink. That completely changed my confidence in how drinks are prepared. Good coffee is important, but cleanliness and proper food handling are just as important. I hope they address these issues because the coffee itself has a lot of potential.

I swear, this is one of the most beautiful coffee shops I've ever been in. The ambiance was warm and inviting and I loved the chandeliers and decor. When you walk in, there's a QR code to scan to view the Full Menu, so I was able to look over the food and drink items while I waited in line. Once I knew what I wanted, I looked over all the pastries available on display! Everything looked delicious. Between the Cruffin and the Pistachio Tres Leches Cake, I couldn't choose which was more appetizing. I decided on the Strawberry Vanilla Matcha Latte, since I've been on my matcha kick and it didn't take long for it to be ready. I took my first sip and I was in heaven! My drink tasted perfect!!! The shop itself is so cute and Instagram-worthy--honestly, every corner is picture-worthy. It has such a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. I went on the weekend, and it was definitely busy, but the atmosphere was great. I also really like that they have designated no-laptop hours. With how busy the shop can get, I could see seating becoming almost nonexistent if people were staying for hours working. It was actually really nice to see people sitting around and having conversations instead of everyone being on their laptops. Overall, a cute and cozy coffee shop with great drinks, friendly staff, and a fun atmosphere. Definitely worth stopping by!

Battlefield Boulevard, just outside the Great Bridge section of Chesapeake. Having visited their Summit Pointe location before, we were pleasantly surprised by just how spacious this café is. The Great Bridge location offers plenty of comfortable seating, making it an ideal place to meet friends, catch up on work, or simply relax with a great cup of coffee. Their retail area is also much larger, featuring an impressive selection of branded T-shirts, hoodies, mugs, coffee beans, and other merchandise for those who want to take a little piece of Pale Horse home with them. We arrived just before the Saturday morning rush, which proved to be perfect timing. No sooner had we settled into our seats with our lattes than a group of nearly thirty people walked through the door. It didn't take long for the shop to become a lively gathering place. Despite the growing crowd, the atmosphere remained welcoming and unhurried. Whether you're looking for a quiet corner to enjoy your favorite espresso drink or simply stopping by to grab a coffee on the go, Pale Horse has created an environment that encourages you to stay awhile. In addition to an excellent selection of coffee, espresso, and handcrafted lattes, they also offer a variety of fresh baked goods if you're looking for something to enjoy alongside your drink. One piece of advice: arrive early. Word has definitely gotten out about this place, and it's easy to see why. Even if you happen to visit during a busy period and have to wait a few extra minutes, the quality of the coffee and the friendly atmosphere make it well worth your patience. Pale Horse Coffee continues to prove that great coffee is only part of the experience. Comfortable surroundings, friendly service, and a welcoming community are what keep people coming back--and after this visit, it's easy to understand why. !
