I enjoy this Starbucks a lot! It is (or at least appears to be) a little larger than the Starbucks on Rio Road and in the few times I have visited, I've really appreciated their quick service! They are masters are pre-ordering the line and the drinks are consistently good! =) read more

How to spend 20 minutes waiting for an order that can't be filled in a drive thru & parking lot that are designed to create gridlock. They don't have what they advertise and don't know how to make the drinks given the number of returns. Even if they ever get their act together inside, the parking lot / drive thru won't let you thru quickly anytime during daylight hours. read more

World's slowest drive thru! Never go here if you're in a hurry. Usually takes at least 20 minutes to get through the drive thru. Your best bet would be to order through the app and run in and pick it up. It's unfortunate that there isn't another closer by. read more

If you're baby's sleeping and you don't want to stop and wake him/her up go through this drive thru. Literally the slowest drive thru in the world, every time takes at least 30 mins. Makes no sense. If you have no napping baby in the car it's much faster to park and go inside to order. read more

I ordered a caramel frappe, mocha frappe, impossible breakfast sandwich, and pumpkin bread. first off the girl on the speaker couldn't hear me i was screaming, again at the window, but at the window they didn't even have my order at all... and then didn't have the sand which in stock. i sat at the window for 10 minutes while repeating my order to her AGAIN.... and she rolled her eyes all the way into her head. they all look like they have no idea what they're doing... read more

It kills me to see how slowly this location works. Starbucks are known for being incredibly efficient with time and orders, but this one is painfully slow. They have the corner market on coffee because of the drive-thru convenience. Most of the times I come here, I could have made everything myself at home faster. I am giving them 2 stars because the coffee and food are not horrible. read more

I travel everywhere for work and stop at a Starbucks at least 3 times a day and I just had to say this is the most enjoyable store I have ever been to. Micheal was the cashier and when I ordered he was super sweet and helpful. Definitely talked me into getting something new that was amazing. read more

If I order a blonde roast coffee, I clearly can tell the difference between blonde and pike place. This establishment gave me pike place coffee instead of blonde roast and failed to mention that they were out of blonde. Honesty is always best here seeing as I would have ordered something completely different had I known they were out of blonde roast. Unfortunately, this seems to be a common practice. Next, the barista threw my lemon loaf upside down which caused all of the icing to stick to the bag and not the loaf... arguably the icing is the best part. While this is likely the busiest Starbucks I have been to, it also has the best staff of any I have been to. Marcus, Laci, Dillon, Danielle, Gray, etc. they are all great. They make an effort to get to know the customers and make the wait for the drinks enjoyable with their banter. Of course the drinks (and food) are quite tasty as well. The worst part of this location is the store site. The parking lot doesn't have nearly enough spots which results in people parking off of the street and that causes dangerous situations for everyone. The interior also doesn't have terribly many seats as it is not very spacious. The old spot on Pantops was preferable in both regards. read more

Me and my girlfriend come up here 2 times a week and every time we come up here we get 2 Frappuccino's and they just taste and are made so thin I taste like I have chocolate water with whipped cream on top. So instead of coming straight to here to complain about it. I ask the employees to make it thicker if they would and nothing changes. This Starbucks sucks. The other one in Charlottesville is great. The move to the new location and the addition of the drive-thru is a welcomed improvement. However, it did nothing to improve the service or friendliness of this staff. I have been to this location over the last three years on separate business trip visits. Consistently, they don't seem to care whether you are there or not. No smiles, no friendliness, just "what do you want, don't bug me anymore, get out of here" kind of service. Perhaps it is because I'm not a regular and just visiting? If so, really? I went through the new drive-thru this morning. The clerk was very friendly taking my order, repeated it back to me, just very nice. When I drove around to pay for and pick up my order, she looked at me like "what do you want", just told me how much it cost, I paid for it, she handed me my drink and said nothing more. In fact, her look was sort of like "are you still here? Why haven't you left yet so I can get more customers through this drive-thru". In reality, she was probably listening to the customers behind me placing their orders on her headset. While I understand that is important, the follow-up experience at the window is just as important if not much more so. The service at this location has been so bad that the last time I was in town, I just purchased ground coffee and brewed it at home myself so I wouldn't have to put up with this bad service and the unfriendly staff every single day. If this is the kind of service they are going to continue providing, I might as well go to McDonald's and save myself some money. No one's product is so good that I'll put up with bad service repeatedly. read more

This drive through takes 20 mins on average. I have gone there at 8 am on a week day but I typically go around 1 pm during the week and spend easily 20 mins every time. Kind of ridiculous honestly. I usually order a salted CF CB and honestly the "foam" is nonexistent. It looks like they just poured cream into my cold brew and called it a day. read more

I ordered a white chocolate mocha and when I got it it was only partially full and did not taste right. I had my daughter taste it and she agreed that it didn't taste right. I took it back to the counter and said it didn't taste right. The girl who made it rolled her eyes and made another one. She gave it to me and rolled her eyes again. Did not say anything to me. Just rolled her eyes. I drank this one but it still did not taste right. It basically tasted like warm milk. She made both drinks very quick. I even said "that was fast" when she gave me the first drink. Not sure why she was rude. Starbucks is too expensive to not get what you ordered. read more

So I ordered a large iced coffee with 3 shots of expresso and sugar/milk. So it takes about 10 minutes to get my coffee which is no big deal for me because I wasn't in a rush at all. So then I walk to my car and finally drink it and it was quite bitter, which was to be expected after getting 3 shot of expresso. So I decided to go back in to get some liquid sugar because the regular sugar doesn't dissolve so well, but when I went over to the counter with all the sugar and milk/cream. So this again wasn't a problem at all, I was just like "lemme go ask the person for some". So I walk up and asked the woman at the counter "hey, do you have any liquid sugar" and her response was "yes we do". Then there was about a 6 seconds of us just staring at each other before I asked "can I have some pls" and then she immediately reply's "yes". And ohhhhh my lord there was another fricken delay before I was like "do you want my cup?" And she then reply's "yes". Then she takes my cup and does the """UNTHINKABLE""""!!! This woman put fricken 7 pumps of liquid sugar in my damn cup. That's enough put a fricken bear in a sugar coma. So yeah I left the fricken store all salty with a over sugared beverage to balance out my saltiness. Soooo yeah that's my rant for today. read more

I would like to say THANK YOU to the wonderful baristas at this store, two in particular who served me this past weekend (Sunday the 28th). I ordered my beverage incorrectly and received a hot beverage instead of iced, which was what I wanted. When my drink came out, they could tell it was not what I had wanted--I told them it was my fault and they shouldn't remake it, but they immediately did anyways with the most cheerful and wonderful attitude. Although I'm sure it was inconvenient for them, they acted like it was no trouble at all. Every time I visit this store I get wonderful service and delicious drinks, but this truly went above and beyond. I love this Starbucks! read more

Worst Starbucks in my experience. Customer service poor and 30 minutes to get a lukewarm decaf coffee and a stale/hard cinnamon swirl.

They really need to do something about the fly problem. I've been here a few times over the course of a few months and they have flies here even during the winter. It gets quite annoying when you're trying to concentrate. Their service is great, but the flies are a bummer. read more
