I stop by this same Starbucks location every week before work, and I always order the same drink: a Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso (made with whole milk instead of oatmilk) with Salted Caramel Cold Foam. Unfortunately, something was definitely off with my drink today. Within the 15 minutes it took me to get to work, the cold foam had completely disappeared, and the drink tasted overwhelmingly like syrup and cinnamon. I'm very familiar with this drink since it's my regular order, and it has never tasted like this before. It was honestly one of the worst coffees I've ever received from Starbucks. I was especially disappointed because I was heading into eight consecutive workdays, and my morning coffee is something I really look forward to. Spending nearly $8 on a drink I couldn't enjoy was a real bummer. I understand that mistakes happen, and this isn't representative of the service I usually receive at this location. I just wanted to make you aware of the experience. read more

Such kind and positive words and energy this morning from these kind baristas. I was greeted in the drive through even though there were only two cars and one t was cold, the gentleman was kind enough to check in on my mobile order. I was stuck on the phone with my mom but the barista made sure to still hand me my hot drinks with such a lovely smile and wished me a great day. Coffee is always on point here but I really just appreciate their hospitality and it added to a wonderful start to my day. read more

Popped in this Starbucks to grab a drink and spend some time with the nibbling. She got a cake pop and we shared an venti iced peach green tea lemonade. We also got a refill of the drink before we left. The inside isn't very big. Seating for about 15-20 people. Most of the seating is small tables that you can only sit in on one side of. There was a lot of ppl working. Took a few minutes for our drink to be made but overall great service. Starbucks - a coffee shop with a counter and a man in the background - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

Got a pink drink and a water with strawberry inclusions... they tried to charge $4+ for the water with inclusions. They rung up a tea with inclusions. This is the only location that does this and Starbucks has me as a customer forever!!! read more

I am a long time loyal Starbucks customer & this location just doesnt get it or do it!! The lady who responds to the drive through orders is always mad & sounds irritated when getting your order. They are usually very slow. some staff are friendly but most look mad & very short with customers. (This is based on multiple observations through the years). The one additional star is for location honestly:( management needs to really look at this place! read more

Good coffee, sometimes not consistent. But hours changed, idk if this is a permanent thing or seasonal. But I work overnights so me running to get my coffee at 9-9:15 pm always made my night. Inside is very nice! read more

This is a clean and friendly location. The drive through is the way to go since there isn't a lot of sitting room available at this location. read more

I liked my experience at this Starbucks where I supped down a double espresso (in a paper cup??) and did some Internet surfing while people watching. Good seating inside with some smaller tables, comfortable chairs and a large "community" table. I found the crew to be a little loud with their chatting. One of them is looking to move to a new Starbucks and everyone got to hear about his life. read more

Starbucks - Starbucks in Ballantyne - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

Two in the the afternoon and the drive-thru is 20 deep. I go in and the place is just sad. My first visit to a Starbucks since Covid. I order two coffees and it took fifteen minutes. While I waited, I noticed how messy the coffee machines were x beans and sugar packets strewn about. The guys in here were working hard. And I commend them for just coming into work. Coffee was fine. Lukewarm. But whatcha gonna do? read more

Inventory control issue meets incompetence (albeit friendly incompetence). Ordered two b-fast sandwiches a tea and a coffee. One of the sandwiches was the wrong type. That's when they told us they were out of the one we ordered (what?? just hand off a random sandwich??). Always out of something, though at least they are not blaming the blizzard of '19 or the pandemic any more! Aside. The electronic menu showed the sandwich they were out of, they can update it but don't know how. Lastly, they admitted they never even made the tea. Returned the items for a full refund and went to Einstein instead. read more

Location is ok. They are all different. This one however always has a long drive-thru line, and never has oat milk. The last 2 times I've been here they have been out of certain ingredients to make popular drinks. read more

This review is not based off of one experience only. I've been here several times and I always get a matcha latte with no ice. Every other Starbucks at LEAST puts in the effort to stir it up a little bit. Some even shake it with ice.. which I'm pretty sure is how it's done. We went today and it looked ridiculous. Matcha all over the side of the cup. They literally just dumped it in and poured the soy milk in, and then handed it to us. I took it home to put in my cocktail shaker and the matcha was clumped to the side of the cup so much so, that some of the powder was still DRY when I tried to get it off. I'm paying $6 for a drink that no one put any effort into making. Do better. read more

The most unfriendly staff at the drive through. One lady just throws your food and drink at you without a word. And another time the guy was talking bad about his coworkers, cussing and grabbed my drink and said this doesn't look right than handed it to me and said try it, it was fine. Just weird experience. I work in customer service and most of my experiences here are strange read more

We're actually still sitting in Starbucks as I'm typing this because I'm so impressed! My son loves their strawberry smoothies and that's usually what he orders. They called us over after our order to inform us that they are out of bananas. He still wanted the smoothie so they made it. It turns out, he didn't like it without the banana and we asked them for an iced tea instead. They got a bit busy and we got lost in the shuffle somewhere. After waiting awhile I decided to just place an order for the tea through their app. When they called our name and I picked it up Ahmad recognized me and tried to issue a refund and apologized profusely. I told him it wasn't an issue, we come here often and not to worry about. A few minutes later he handed me a gift card for the smoothie. THAT is how customer service is done! read more

Great Sbux location! However, the drive thru can be wrapped around the parking lot depending on the time of day that you visit. The team is great though! They are always friendly, my drink tastes great and most Importantly they ring up my order correctly. This is a pretty high volume location so theres a good Chance that they may be out of items such as specific protein boxes and sandwiches. All in all, one of my Favorite Sbux locations to frequent. read more

This Starbucks location is by far my favorite! Everyone from Charles the manager to Claudia, Jackie and Cody are warm and welcoming! No matter how my day is going or how long I have to wait in line sometimes at this location, as it is very popular, the Barista's always make it worth it. I always look forward to walking in to this location and I highly recommend it to anyone that lives or is visiting the area to try it out! read more

I asked the guy (C....) making my drinks to pull his mask over his nose. Actually I offered to give them a tip if he would. He shifted it slightly - nose still sticking out - and turned to do something else. When I left he was still making drinks with his nose out breathing all over them. Okay Starbucks, let's see some action. read more

Baristas at this location are always friendly, helpful, and efficient. Lisa always goes out of her way to offer amazing customer service and brightens my day every time I see her in the drive thru. Favorite location, hands down. read more

Typical Starbucks that is visible from Ballantyne Commons Parkway however it is a little tricky to get to, which somewhat negates the convenience of the drive-thru. Speaking of which, service has always been markedly slow upon my visits. The interior area is smallish. Service itself has always been average. Not one of my favorite locations. read more

I've never had a bad experience at Starbucks until today. I ordered a chai tea and instead of telling me they were out, they made me a chai tea latte. I then go back to get my tea which is when they tell me they are out of the tea bags. So they give a $4 gift card for a new drink. Issue is, they charged me $4.54 for the latte I didn't want. So now I have no drink and am out money. read more

I'm not giving them a 5 as I didn't get my chai tea the way I always do. This is my drink for years now.. I know how it tastes with water or without water.. I asked for it 98% of the time without water.. and this one today it HAS water when I asked for no water .. other than that everything went well read more

I went through the drive-thru about 7am. I asked for my usual drink, Starbucks Double Shot on Ice with coconut milk. It's on the menu but my usual Starbucks back home tell me it's not something often ordered. My sister in law ordered a Caramel Macchiato. Since we were in a rush to get donuts and other things, we drove off. I didn't try my drink until half way home and found out it tasted funny. Either they used a blonde roast for the coffee or something else was wrong with it. It didn't have the bold taste like my usual drink did and I'd assume that my drink wouldn't taste different in a different state. I ordered a Venti and barely drank half of it before I tossed it down the sink. Not too long after did the drink make me feel sick. Since that experience, I decided to avoid that particular location during our vacation. read more

I have been here many, many times. Never had a problem, until this trip. They did not make my wife's drink correctly and by the time we noticed, we were too far away. She ended up throwing it out the window (just the drink, not the cup). It was a rare occurrence, but definitely made an impact on us when we make our next coffee purchase. read more

This location has improved significantly! Whoever hired the current staff really hit it out of the park. The drive thru line is not only efficient but the folks helping actually have a personality, are kind and upbeat and actually smile and seem happy. I'm a time when we just don't go out as often as we used to, it's these little things that are so refreshing. Drinks are also always consistent which is something new appreciate as we typically order the same things each visit. Great job! read more

Tiny shop inside with horrible seating - you are either by a door, or by a door. There a 2 tables in a corner, but nothing major. The coffee at starbucks is not that good, and this place isn't that different. It's over roasted beans that always seem to have a bitter aftertaste. The lollipop cakes are very tasty though, my kid loves them. The WiFi is excellent, strong steady connection, with good signal strength though. If you are looking for a location to setup and catch up on work or study - this is not it. read more

Danielle and I normally have a mobile order here that we place about 15 minutes before we arrive to pick up. This morning as we arrived we found multiple people waiting who seemed frustrated that they had been waiting for so long... this didn't bother me until we had to correct the barista as to what sandwiches were on our order. Isn't that on your screen? The turning point is when the barista (wearing a pink sweater)making our drinks gave us an attitude after she had called our order when our drinks had not been completed yet, mind you our sandwiches were cold by now, and she had not finished making Danielle's drink. Danielle asked where her drink was, as normally when we're called up for our order, our order had been completed.... this barista replied in a frustrated manor "its right here" pointing at an empty cup with some milk in it... she then continued to complete Danielle's drink while we were standing there.... so we turned around and sat back down.. while we sat down she told us that the drink would be ready soon.... almost like she didn't like that we decided we should sit back down. Btw, her drink didn't taste like it had three shots of espresso. Charles, this isn't the service I'm used to from your store. I think you're great, but your employees should NEVER have an attitude with paying customers. My one and only bad experience with Starbucks. read more

I've come to this starbucks too many times to count, via the drive-thru or in store, but I think I'm going to drive the extra mile to visit the other starbucks in Stone Crest moving forward. I'm well aware this is the complete definition of a first world problem. I'll start with the good. 1. Drive-thru 2. close to the corporate park 3. sometimes nice employees Cons: 1. The parking lot is terrifying and the drive-thru is always slammed 2. sometimes the staff can be rude 3. always busy and clearly not enough staff 4. coffee is so-so, sometimes it's good and sometimes it is nothing like it is supposed to taste 5. really really slow and have forgotten to make a drink on mutiple times. I don't want to hate on the staff, it's not just their issue, overall, this place is a headache and not worth the wait. Next time, I'll just keep driving. read more

Why do I continue to come here??? 9 visible employees with a drive through line out into the street and the inside line not much better. All around are sad faces anxiously waiting for orders that may never come. Not even a 'good morning' nor a smiling face at the register. It was appropriate for what was to come. After paying, customer after customer kept asking the barista where their order was. Incompetence and inefficiency are in full-swing at this location. After further disgust with the lack of ANY URGENCY, I brought the situation up to the person claimed to be the manager. There was a weak apology: 'I understand' and an excuse that an 8 drink order had come in. It is common for drink orders to come in, staff should be prepared to serve drinks. Further, the staff should be NICE AND FRIENDLY. An apology for your excessive wait goes a long way. Using the first name you gave at checkout to announce the coffee order was even skipped - a final signoff for this crappy location. I almost missed this non-update: the iced coffee continues to be very bitter, not in a good way. read more

I've been here countless times (well, no, you could count) because it's right near my job. There is always a line because the plaza is poorly designed with minimal parking; the line of cars often spills over into the flow of traffic. That's not SBUX's fault though. The staff is great--especially CLAUDIA. They're really courteous and always get my drink order correct. They've had some turnover in recent months, but at least the hiring manager consistently hires good people. read more

I initially ordered a Holiday Spice Flat White and was bummed to hear that it had been taken off the menu. Instead I ordered a Holiday Blend pour over and ended up finding out that they were out. This afternoon, I was in Starbucks getting an Iced Americano. A vendor showed up while I was adding my creamer. The 2nd guy with a dolly was stacked high and a box fell off the top. His hands were full so I picked up the box and started putting the 4 boxes of syrup back inside the box. Sadly, a massive cockroach came running out of the box. I was pretty disgusted. I stepped on the roach, threw the box on top of his dolly and left. I was fairly disgusted. Their food vendors should do a better job of keeping pest away from the food being served. Starbucks needs to address this. read more

This place is TERRIBLE! I went to get coffee before Work and they close 20 MINUTES EARLY!!!!! I would give this place a negative rating if there was an option read more

Great coffee, but slow drive through experience. When I got to the window, it just took forever for them to hand the drinks to me. I tried the caramel brûlée with low fat everything and half the pumps of the syrup. It was good and rather guilt free. This might be my favorite hot drink, but it's here only for the holiday season. /Today the drive thru was closed bec they were reloading supplies in mid afternoon. This was an inconvenience. First world problem, but still a pain. Service here is just not as good as other Starbucks./ Speaker system seems not as good as other stores. They had a hard time hearing my order and even when I got to the window, still had to clarify. read more

I'm surprised to see the 3 stars. This place is absolutely amazing I have been coming here since 2015 or 16. I want everyone to visit this Starbucks and experience the amazing service that I experience. Xoxo Tessa read more

Apparently no one in Ballantyne has anything to do besides go to this Starbucks. Yes, I am aware of the irony of including that statement, since this review indicates that I go to this Starbucks as well, but at least I don't block the entire traffic circle when then line gets long. You can park and go inside, people. Anyways, this review is about this Starbucks, not its customers, although they could put up some signage to indicate that customers shouldn't spill out into the road when the drive-through line is lengthy. It's just a Starbucks, but it's a good one. The coffee is unexciting but reliable, and the staff are friendly, quick, and accurate. Therefore, this location is A-OK by me. read more

The folks working here are all very nice, but this is the fourth or fifth time I've come through the drive-through here and it is SLOW! The last time I decided not to wait in the drive-through line and went inside, again the folks are really really nice! But the service is just really slow at this location. If I am headed to work and want to go through a drive-through, I try to zip over to the Pineville location near the mall because they are on it! read more
