I don't think I've ever given a Starbucks five stars but this location deserves it. I only went cause I had a $4 medium drink coupon. I ordered a double chocolate chip frap with skim and no whip. It was made super quick and was just what I wanted. Tho next time I think I'll go with soy milk. Lol! The guy who helped me was the kindest human I've ever had the pleasure of talking to. Wish I got his name cause he was so nice! He had his hair tied back and looked maybe around 18 or so. Thank you for being so kind! Keep that attitude cause it's 100% working for you! I don't normally review chains. And quite honestly I can make a couple of mean cups of coffee at home before work, and at a great cost savings! So the only time I really ever go to Starbucks is Christmas season! Why??? Because it's that one time of year where they serve those AMAZING Cranberry Bliss Bars!!!! OMG!!! Shortbread-type cake, with a cream cheese frosting with chunks of chopped dried cranberries. LUSCIOUS!!!!! And the coffee with cream, just is a nice pairing. WOW!!!! read more

I suppose as a long-time fan of all that is Starbucks and its "burned" coffee taste, I felt I should mention that after years of waiting to have a full blown café in West Virginia's capitol city...we still ain't got one. But what we do have is a semi-full-service "kiosk" at the Charleston Town Center. I hate the fact that I have to plunk in .50 cents (quarters only please) just to pick up a latte or Pike Place decaf, but I go there about every day. Why the Hades Cabel County can have no less than THREE cafe stores is a burning question, but the staff at the CTC location are usually friendly and can generally make a pretty good latte. No sandwiches are served (still) but there are the basics; muffins, cookies, cupcakes, etc. So if you're visiting our state capitol and you're craving a Venti Mocha Latte, no whip, triple shot, decaf than you finally have a place to visit. Right in the dead center of the mall, so prepare to be deafened. The acoustics bounce every little last bit of sound from the entire mall down into this area. "I'd like a Chai Latte." "A WHAT?!?" I am usually not a Starbucks fan, but found myself in the Town Center Mall and wanted a shot of espresso. This should be an elemental drink for a coffee shop. After a short wait, the young lady that took my order was aloof. I asked for a newspaper and she said there might be some on the rack. There were none. I ordered a shot of espresso and waited. And waited. And waited. There were multiple employees, yet only one was making drinks. My two stars is because at least one person was trying. No one else was in line, so I stood across the counter staring at the employees who only stared back while one young man made a few fruity drinks that seemed more like a cocktail than a coffee drink. I was finally given my shot in a large paper cup that didn't keep it very warm. At least the chair was comfortable. read more

Very disappointed with my recent trip to Starbucks at Charleston town center. Both drinks I ordered came out wrong :( one latte came out cold..how I do not know. It's Starbucks. This branch is particularly quick in the drink prep but piss poor on cleanliness and such. Staff is standard issue corporate waitrons. And the coffee is the same mediocre, beats McDonald's anyway coffee - over-roasted but properly prepared. Nothing special. read more

Starbucks, what can I say? I always enjoy a Dark Roast when I have the chance. This particular Starbucks isn't one that I frequent too often, but when I do it is pretty decent. The staff seems rushed constantly, and they don't have the interior space of a free standing store, but they make due. Sometimes I wish they were a little more friendly, but I could be hitting in out at bad times. I do love their coffee, and I've never had an issue with any of the Baristas. Unfortunately, if you want Starbucks in Charleston, this is your only hope. read more

I'm a partner at a Starbucks in the same district as this one, and I am just in shock. We as baristas are taught to put our customers first, even if they are fellow partners. A girl with brown hair, about 5'6 completely butchered my drink even after I stood there and told her she messed up.
