Just wow. What an incredible oasis! I opted to sit outside in the garden to eat and while there are some bugs so you may wanna make sure you have some repellent... you couldn't ask for a nicer space. The food was not bad and they made it to order from scratch... how can you complain about that?

Cute place! Everything is freshly made. The outdoor seating is just wonderful, garden, birds, real nice start of your morning.

Very interesting cafe that was formerly a church. Have a garden beside it which they use the produce in their dishes. Servicing breakfast and lunch. We got the quiche, green fried tomato sandwich and chicken cluck sandwich. All were very tasty. You order at the window and they bring it to you. This is also an outreach mission to help women who have come through recovery. Everyone was very nice and helpful

Lovely little place. Looked bright and clean. We both had an Open face breakfast sandwich and it was not tasty at all. Uneventful, unnecessary jam on top of cold untoasted sourdough bread, Over cooked eggs lacking freshness and flavor. The lettuce was fresh and welcome crunch. Tough to cut, much less enjoy. Cheese grits were ok. But had a crust on top. I'm from NC so I think I know some tasty grits. The best part of the meal was the friendly lady watering the plants. Oh yes and the sausage was delicious.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars! It was not what I expected at all in the most amazing way. The minute we walked in we were greeted by friendly and happy staff. The whole concept was something I fell in love with immediately. Farm to table. And not even a huge farm far away but a beautiful garden oasis in outside their back door. The food was amazing! With the freshest vegetables that they literally picked that morning. The coffee was delicious. We ordered omelettes, a kids, waffle, and an eggs and toast. Food was super good and fresh, atmosphere amazing, staff amazing.

This is such a cute cafe/coffee shop. Staff was very friendly. We tried the lemon and peanut butter cookies. Both were delicious but the peanut butter one was to die for. They have a huge outdoor patio that allows dogs.

Wow what an experience! Food was good and outside is just amazing! Supporting their mission is important. Thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast and conversation.

The FAM and I went here for breakfast while on our WVA vacation. Overall we enjoyed our visit and the food. They are a nonprofit located in a former church. You can read more about it here: https://apnews.com/article/134eef6e1b54448db89a79bbcd5c89cf They have beautiful functional garden and flowers with various benches, tables and seats. The inside is super cute with mix and match tables, string lights and an open kitchen. We ordered two "your choice" eggs sandwiches, a yogurt parfait, an omelet and cheesy grits, zucchini bread and four coffees. The egg sandwiches were divine. Definitely get the "special sauce" which was a lemon aioli. The parfait was excellent and the fruit in it (strawberries and blueberries) were perfect. The zucchini bread was light, fluffy and very cinnamon-y. Delicious. The only disappointing food was what hubs got. The omelette was okay, a little on the dry side. The grits were down right terrible. They were barely warm and the cheese shreds were still intact. I gave it a 4 because I like what they are doing and 3/4 of the food was fantastic.

Peaceful coffee spot with a good purpose and what an awesome garden ambiance. Sweet staff!

This cafe in a former church building employs women from a local support program. Great food and a great cause.

**April 2025: Weekday Afternoon Visit**…read more My friend and I were in the area and wanted a quick lunch before we hit the road again. With the high reviews we thought we'd check out Swiftwater Cafe. The restaurant is located on the first floor of a large building complex (maybe apartments?), and there were many locals dinning in. The space looked very homey and the tables were lined with green and white checkered tablecloths. There's a big chalk board with breakfast and lunch items and my friend and I decided on the following: Lunch -Italian Grilled Cheese $8.06 - This was a fantastic vegetarian sandwich. There was a lot of flavor and it the texture of all the ingredients worked together. I would get this again. -Tomato Basil Soup $4.16 and Chili $4.16: Standard soups -Pepperoni Roll $4.16 - I was told that this was West Virginia's state food so naturally we had to try it out. It was tasty and I'm glad that this restaurant put in cheese, but I kind of wished there were a little bit more. -Chef Salad $9.88: This salad had a good assortment of ingredients and gave me the much needed vegetables that I had been lacking on this roadtrip. Service The host was very quick and polite. Patrons would pick up their orders at the counter when it's ready. Summary It was a nice local joint and I enjoyed all the outdoor photos around the cafeteria.

Service was great. Heidi the prep cook did an amazing job making my hot dogs. Didn't steam the buns…read morebut that's totally fine! The BBQ sandwich was good also! Love the inside too! Great place!
