I purchased a Venti iced matcha with mango foam (about $8), and within literally 2 minutes of driving down the road (Chandler & Dobson), the drink had already turned into a cup full of ice. Completely unacceptable for the price. I returned to the store to address it, and instead of basic customer service, I was met with a nasty, dismissive attitude from the barista. What made it worse was what appeared to be a coordinated attempt between two employees to confuse or swap the remake. I watched them both preparing similar drinks while one of them openly mocked me to the other. When I questioned it, I was told with certainty that the other drink was made with soy milk... right after the same employee loudly admitted she didn't know which drink was which. The behavior felt intentionally antagonistic, like she was trying to provoke a reaction instead of resolve a simple issue. All of this over an $8 drink is ridiculous. This experience reinforces why I avoid Starbucks. The level of entitlement and lack of professionalism from staff is unacceptable. read more

Wow, how come every time I come here an employee has an attitude or cares little about the customer. I just finished a workout and wanted to get some work done before I go to the grocery store to pick up dinner. I am gold star member at Starbucks and order all the time. I wanted to wash my hands before i order or do anything and I asked the employee at the front for the code and she said "sorry you have to be a paying customer to use the bathroom." My friends and I came to this Starbucks on November 10 around 6-7PM, hoping for a quiet, welcoming place to study with some coffee, but unfortunately we had a pretty uncomfortable experience. We didn't even make it to the door before we already felt unwelcome. As we were walking up, the woman working in the front (I believe she had blonde hair) was mopping. We understood they might be cleaning, but when she saw us approaching, she made a dramatic fake "choking" gesture, which immediately made us feel uncomfortable. She was working with another employee (a guy with somewhat long hair), but he didn't do anything to us. Before we even stepped inside, she came outside to tell us that the car that dropped us off needed to turn its lights completely off because they were "too bright." The car wasn't using high beams -- just regular lights -- and we were parked on the side closer to Chandler Blvd. The lights weren't shining into the store, so it was confusing how customers are expected to park near the entrance if regular headlights are supposedly a problem. What bothered us the most was the combination of the fake choking gesture and being approached like that before even entering. It made us feel unwelcome, and instead of studying there like we planned, we ended up leaving and going to a different Starbucks where we actually felt comfortable. Overall, I'm not sure if we'll return to this location. We were simply looking for a good environment to study, but this experience made us feel the opposite. read more

It's 116 degrees outside here in Phoenix AZ. I went to get a water for my 4 kids and apparently the manager Derrica requires a purchase for a water. That's pretty incredible! Lack of compassion. The service at this Starbucks was really good. I had a free drink offer on my app that was going to expire. I was in the area and stopped in to use my offer. I walked in to place the order. The barista was helpful when placing the order. The drink was ready within a couple of minutes and tasted really good. I just didn't care for the location. Stopped here on Fry-yah before work and there was a "Karen" behind me in the drive-thru who was going to town on her horn. Smh Rather than react I paid for her order and told the barista to tell her verbatim, "Enjoy your order and have a great day Karen" and I asked him to say it exactly like that!(Verbatim) He asked me if I were serious and I told him that I knew her. I drove off and went around quickly to watch her reaction I'm sure she was flabbergasted because of her hand movement. She was lucky that I didn't pay for her order and take it. Be kind to others! Can get busy but always there for you! The pickup counter is super convenient Drive through wraps in an interesting pattern which can lead to confusing creeps forward on who should go next. They have most options available but sometimes within the all they aren't available. You can always ask and try your luck or they'll let you know how soon it will be available. read more

The other day, I was in the area in the afternoon and noticed the drive thru only had 1 or 2 cars compared to the usual long line. Anyways went into customer bathroom trash full or overflowing, sink dirty, and soap completely empty. Paper towel dispenser completely full, so how are the trashes still full and soap empty if you stick paper towels you should check all other supplies at same time. That's just common sense. Looks to me like they don't care about customers having a clean restroom. Since it's always so busy no matter which location you go to but I was visiting the neighborhood and this location was great. In the midst of their morning rush ... the service was great! Management needs to train those employees who do not know or are not aware that Chase Pay is a form of payment that can be used at Starbucks stores and how to ring up a customer using Chase Pay. I've gone here numerous times and the only employee who seems to know how to ring up a customer using Chase Pay is Baylee. 5 stars for Baylee! This Starbucks is closest to my home and my usual go-to for a quick pick-me-up. They're usually friendly and I've never had a wrong order but tonight I had the worst experience. The drive-thru clerk gave me my large hot quad latte in the most pliable cup ever. The lid popped right off, spilled all over my center console, leg, cup holder and hand. Burned 2 fingers. The clerk awkwardly apologized and started handing me bundles of wadded up paper towels, which wasn't the most efficient way to clean up the mess. Then I'm pretty sure they just poured my drink into a new cup and gave it right back considering how light it felt in the new, notably sturdier cardboard cup. Not like it mattered since I poured it out as soon as I got home (not exactly in the mood for delighting in a hot cup of coffee after spending 15 minutes wiping out my car). I went in for a salted caramel cold brew which comes with foam by the way it's literally on the description of the Starbucks app and one of the employees , blonde hair works drive thru and probably glasses had the worse attitude when i told her they forgot the foam . I spoke to her nicely because i don't make a big deal of when my order gets messed up because it's an easy fix , she asked me what foam and i said idk because everyone morning i go in it comes with foam and she continued to ask me Which one and i said vanilla i think and she put my foam and continued to say well you're suppose To ask for the foam in the most sarcastic and rudest way and i said ohh okay i didn't know ? Because every morning i come in i thought it just came with foam ? And she constituted to give me sass and said no you're supposed ask for it and i got Irritated and said ok ? Anyway . And walked away and she gasped and said we'll have a nice day in a sarcastic manner and started talking shit about Me with her coworkers ( who looks like they need coffee btw because they look like they hated their jobs ) , but why was she arguing with me about a drink i was right about and i was even nice to her just for her to be a bitch , i never had a bad experience at this Starbucks until her. The parking is pretty terrible here. There only 1 non-handicapped spot in front for mobile orders and every time I've been there it's clearly not being used for a mobile order. I have to park far away and walk and no one is inside getting a mobile order. I've also seen people park in the - clearly marked - mobile order spot and go inside the haircut place. It's not the cleanest Starbucks inside, but the staff is friendly for the most part. Lots of places to charge phones so it's a great place to work. read more

I have been getting the same drink for a decade and the frappuccino I got from here was by far the worst thing I have ever had

I was so excited when I heard this store was opening. I am at Starbucks 5 days out of the week and this is very close to my house. On multiple occasions since their opening, I have overheard (as well as other customers) the baristas complaining about what their customers order through the drive through, particularly fraps! I get that fraps take longer to make and are more involved but that doesn't excuse the behavior. In college I had friends that worked at Starbucks where the demand for drinks has not changed much since then. They would have not complained in front of customers. Unfortunately for this store, I had one of these individuals in the car where she overheard the baristas complaining herself! She actually made a comment through the window where no apology was made for the rude comments whether they were directed at us or not. It's sad when your neighbor also comments on the service at this store. I think I'm going to wait until the dust settles here. Maybe they will hire more experienced baristas who are happy to be at work and happy to help even when things get stressful. I am not typically the type to write up a review or complain... But this has happened on too many occasions to ignore. I would be happy to turn this review around and give 5 stars when the staff starts caring about their jobs, themselves (attitude)and their customers. read more
