This place was a zoo. So crowded and slow service. People didn't seem to mind as the crowd grew and the 20 or so people waiting for their orders made it look like a party was going on in here. I noticed some of the workers must have been new or had no clue on how to prep off menu items. I ordered a green tea frap. One of the workers had to instruct the one making it, on what to do. I stay at a residence close by and it is so practical to go to this Starbucks. 1* For the place: It has a nice terrasse in front. It the perfect spot to sit and relax in the sun sipping on a drink. 1* For the drinks: My favourite drink these days is a cold brew. Either plain or with a vanilla shot in it. Omg! There's one Barista that really makes this place shine. Bruce. Bruce is a star and gives this Starbucks quality and charisma it probably doesn't even deserve. are there 3 different coffee shops closer to my office than this one? Yes. I wouldn't normally leave a review of Starbucks because people generally know what to expect at at any location, but this one exceeded my expectations so I think it deserves a 5-star review. The location is super spacious and has lots of great seating options, including a big community-style table, several small tables, and a few comfy chairs. Restrooms are clean and in good working order. The art / decor in the location is pretty cool & interesting. Best of all, we ordered two somewhat complex drinks, and both came out perfect! I spend way too much time at this Starbucks. I'm most productive when I'm off campus, and it's perfectly located close to campus so I can still rush to class when needed. This Starbucks consistently has friendly service baristas (Thanks Aaron for always complimenting my Star Wars apparel) and great music. They recently got a lot of new hires, and I've had great experiences with each of them; they're eager to learn and very patient (sorry about my weird order haha). Anyways, I hesitate to publish such glowing reviews because I want to keep this place all to myself! I think it's definitely gotten busier in the last year, so I would appreciate more seating, especially another one of those large square tables, because sometimes it is hard to find seats. I'm loyal to Starbucks because of my two drinks: + Hot soy latte + Starbucks Doubleshot However, every time I come to this location, they mess up my drink. The double shot did not taste at all like it had the right amount of espresso to milk ratio. The soy latte didn't taste like it had any espresso, as I only tasted soy milk. Fortunately, I was able to catch the mistake and went back to ask if I could have a shot added to the drink. The barista gave me attitude and asked what was wrong with it. He corrected it, placed it on the counter, and looked right at me without saying anything. I went my way. I will not be returning to this location - expect long lines no matter what time of day it is. There are plenty of other options for coffee around KSQ. read more

This is my "on the way to work Starbucks". I've been coming to this place Monday through Friday since December 2009. Most of the staff are really friendly and can remember what I usually order in the summer or in the winter. I like the old dude's trivia on Fridays but hate the fact that he only starts working at 8am sharp and watches the line build up while sitting reading the paper until 8am arrives. Thanks for making me late for work, so you can look for the creepiest accordion money can buy in the classifieds. Bad employee #2: super tall, blonde, unshaven, Scandinavian dude. If this guy gets my overly complicated order (medium ice coffee with sugar) correct someday I'll throw him a goddamned ticker tape parade. Besides looking unclean he's got the personality of a cat dipped in ice water. I'm getting coffee from somewhere else until this place improves on its speed and accuracy. read more

As much as I love Starbucks, this location is pretty dreadful. The partners are consistently not friendly, I always feel like I am inconveniencing them by ordering. Today was probably my worst experience there with the person at the register having quite the nasty attitude with me having to reload my Starbucks card and with my latte being made incorrectly twice. (Once with the incorrect milk and once with the incorrect syrup). I didn't have them remake the second incorrect latte, it just wasn't worth the bad attitude I would get. There is one in CT that's amazing with a book store, but that was the only 'bucks I've reviewed that was demonstrably different than any other 'bucks. Not my usual SB's but the one in the Marriott had no salt for my venti salted caramel mocha. So I normally don't get too bent out of shape over coffee but at $5.09 a pop I want it done right. Wait what? $5.30 at this location?? But the kicker was that the reason I order the SALTED caramel mocha is for the SALT. Didn't take my first sip until I got out the door and I tasted sugar not salt. The RUDEST starbucks I've ever been to and that I will never go to ever again. They are always busy and the baristas take it out on the customers. Go to the Starbucks at the Marriott or, even better, go to Tatte w better drinks, REAL food, and infinitely nicer people. And good luck getting a seat, the place is always mobbed and dirty. Give the baristas what they want - don't go there and let them see what happens when they don't have customers and the store closes. Pretty decently sized Starbucks. Much bigger than the one at the nearby Marriott hotel. Lots of seating and baristas that move very quickly. For being in such a business oriented neighborhood, there always seems to be children in here, so I guess it's an extra family friendly store. Aside from those things, it's a pretty typical Starbucks. So if I need my Fritalian-sounding drink with all the fixings, or just a black coffee, I'll probably be here sitting around the giant wooden abacus. read more

This is an awesome Starbucks! The staff is really friendly and they always make an effort to get to know their customers; they are also very knowledgeable about the different coffees they serve on the Clover (which I highly recommend trying). Sometimes the line is out the door but it always moves fast! The store is very spacious for a Boston store, and has a lot of comfortable chairs for sitting with your friends or studying. Every coffee shop invites disruptive clientele. However, the management at this Starbucks is so confrontation-averse I have seen them tolerate drug addicts and temper tantrums to the detriment of other customers. Yesterday I was outright bullied and name-called in line by another customer and the employees did nothing to intervene. I came out here to redeem my free birthday drink, but unfortunately the guy taking my order had never heard of this top secret Cap'n Crunch Frap that I so dearly wanted to try! :( This venti size frap I got wasn't as delicious as I had hoped, but I'm sure their regular drinks are just like all the other locations. Excellent environment for either relaxing or getting work done, with lots of comfy chairs and banquette seating. This Starbucks is one of the few Clover stores, which means that in addition to the usual drip "Coffee of the Week" or a French press (which is huge), you can get a brewed-to-order cup made from one of five varieties of beans. My tall cup of Kenya today cost $1.95, took about three minutes to be made for me, and was SO delicious it made my morning. Clean store, clean bathrooms, courteous employees, nice music level--I'd rate this among the best Starbucks stores I've been to. (By the way, you can get free Wi-Fi at Starbucks, but you have to buy a Starbucks card, register it online, and buy something with it every 30 days. Then you get two hours of time a day on Starbucks networks, supposedly, although I've used it for more than two hours.) read more
