On fall rush Sundays, this is the busiest place on the Hill. No matter how many staff are brought in, they will get behind a bit. The baristas are cheerful and helpful so be sure to tip them well. The drinks were very accurate but they did start running out of some items. There are only so many machines and ovens. The store may be laid back and casual during the summer but by the third week of classes and parties and following the big win yesterday at a home game, this is the situation on the Hill. We ordered an iced drink (allegedly) and it was given to us as hot. So when we receive the drink, we didn't want to be problematic and ask for ice. Instead, we asked someone in line to get a cup of ice with her order. She did. It didn't come with the order. We ask for it and the barista was very rude. She gave us the cup but she dropped it and did not give us a new one. Instead of being kind and understanding, she berated us for not bringing a reusable cup! How rude! As a frequenter of Starbucks on the Hill, I can confidently say I will not be returning (today). See y'all tomorrow for a cup of ice (with NO reusable cup). XOXO! read more

I am disappointed by my drink that was made at this location this morning. It took forever to get the drink made even though I ordered ahead! On top of that, my drink tastes like grassy ass. I ordered the new lavender oatmilk latte and I was so excited to try it. I get the drink and it looks like milk water. Also all of the lavender got stuck to the bottom of the cup so none of the flavor got into the drink. Here is a picture so you can see. We need to do better. I'm so sad. read more

When you're in graduate school - you need a constant place that you can trust w/ outlets, good wifi and coffee!  Most Starbucks are that - but this was in v. nice. Lots of natural light / plug ins all over.  They had fresh blonde roast for me too!    They brought over some delicious dragon... something w/ coconut milk. I don't love sweet treats, but I love little bits like this. I have studied here a lot and I grateful since CU Boulder library doesn't open until late in May! read more

This is by far the worst Starbucks I've ever been to in my life and I have tried this one numerous times hoping by some miracle they get some new management. They have never made my basic coffee correctly. The coffee is generally watery definitely don't get the drip it tastes like watered down milk. I ask for an inch of milk every time and this is the only place that gets it wrong. Apparently their workers don't go to school here because they don't know basic measurements. Today I just walked out took a drink, said f$&@ this place because the coffee was so bad and thru the coffee in the trash. Didn't help that the barista behind the machine gave me an attitude when I asked them to fix the coffee in the first place. read more

I know we already have one Starbucks on The Hill, but this one is much bigger and has so much seating! And being a CU student, I can always use more places to have some coffee and get my studying on. The thing I love about this one (and I've only been sitting here for about half an hour) is that I can sit outside under the small roof so there is no glare from the sun.. It's been a great 30 minutes so far. The staff was so nice! They had a really big line, but they still made sure to have a personal and friendly interaction with me which I loved. And as always, the coffee is just what I needed to keep me awake! read more

CLOSES AT 11, NOT 12!!! Yelp and Google reviews are wrong, this place actually closes at 11pm. Other than having to leave an hour earlier than expected, it was fine. Like a normal Starbucks. Since I love Starbucks as a company, this is more based on this store. It is nice and new on the inside and has a clear service line, which if you go to other starbucks, you know it can be an issue when you go the way it is intended and someone comes in and doesnt know how it works. The service staff have always been friendly, and upbeat even though every time I go here there are about 25+ college kids there. The coffee service is as expected from starbucks, they rotate the dark and light roasts often, and brew it fresh. The atmosphere here is great, nice and bright and airy, and it has great patio seating. It is close to the university, and you can get there quite easily, and it is only about 5 minutes from the main part of campus. read more

I have spent the last four summers in Boulder from out of state. One of my favorite daily routines has been to have breakfast and coffee sitting outside of Starbucks in the sunshine. I usually return in the afternoon for another beverage. I returned to Boulder today and learned the City of Boulder does not allow outdoor seating at this Starbucks. Unfortunately for Starbucks, I'll take my business elsewhere. I don't know the reason but this seems totally unnecessary. read more

Normally I love Starbucks and have no issues but this morning was SO gross! I literally watched an employee take out the trash, replace the bag, then handle and prepare my food without washing her hands. Considering my drink and panini was nearly $12 you think she would have the decency to spare 30 seconds to wash her hands!! I would think its common sense to wash your hands and maintain proper hygiene standards for food preparation so it just makes me think what else happens to slip the minds of the employees while on the job.
