SLOWEST STARBUCKS EVER. If you have 40 minutes to wait in the drive thru, then this is your spot. Every time I come here the service is terrible and slow. Unfortunately this is the only Starbucks on I-10 to Louisiana from Houston and I'm forced to stop. The drive thru line extends into the street and you are put at a risk of getting rear ended. This is my closest to home and work location to be able to stop in. It is right off of I-10 on the north side. Getting in and out can sometimes be a pain. Apparently, the building itself has been there quite sometime. I was told by an employee that it used to be a Burger King. I've been in this area for a few months and I've had 2 small issues. Both of them due to a customer that backs the drive thru up, which also leads to the backed up traffic onto the feeder. It can happen quickly. My drinks are always delicious and the staff are always friendly. I watched the renovation process take place. They updated some areas of the inside to make it more of the "Starbucks" bar look rather than the previous fast food restaurant. In my opinion, I wish they would have more efficiently thought it out. The locations off of Dowlen Road and one off College in Beaumont really give this one a run for it's money. Something I never thought I would say. Another thought...It should really be considered to put a location right off of 146 or Eagle Dr. Both are perfect locations and business would be more than plentiful. I for one would LOVE to not have to drive 10 miles there and 10 miles home (straight interstate) to enjoy my beloved Macchiato! Please bring a location closer to Mont Belvieu! read more

I've stopped at this Starbucks twice this week. I thought maybe the first time they were just tired from being at work all day since I went around 6:30pm. But when it took just as long to get my coffee the next day at 7am, I decided it's just a slower location than I'm used to. The baristas are very friendly and the coffee is good. This location was perfectly convenient for me as I spend two weeks each year in Baytown for company meetings. We always stay at the hotel across the street, and this is my go-to for good coffee. The drive-thru line is pretty consistently backed up in the morning, so I prefer to park and go in to place my order. I never have to wait long and they always get my order right. The only downside to this location is the street off the feeder road when driving into Starbucks. There is a huge pothole and with the recent rain, it was full of water. Not something I was happy to drive thru with my little car. However, this may be more of a Baytown streets issue than Starbucks. read more

Inside was dirty and disgusting. And it wasn't busy, but no one was cleaning. Bathroom was gross and out of toilet paper.

Not a huge van of this location. It's saving grace is that it is the last Starbucks out of Houston until you get deep into Beaumont, which is 70 miles away. Aside from that, I find the wait times to always be extensive, flies routinely buzzing around, and they are often out of popular food items. I used my Starbucks app at the drive thru window because I wanted to use the coupon that's on the app. I asked the girl at the window if she took it off my check and she told me "no" I was supposed to tell her I wanted to use it. This is probably the worst Starbucks I have been to. I tried them out 2-3 times just to make sure it wasn't a one time thing. But their service is unacceptably slow!! I couldn't stand it. Each time the drive through extends through the parking lot. And I so I go inside. Soon to realize the drive through is so long because they are sooo slow!! There was one lady in front of me in line, who wanted a panini. And they were clearly out of it. But she kept asking for every single other panini flavor and each time the man at the counter, would walk off, ask the other employee if they had it, and he just pointed him right back to the register where all the paninis are sitting right there!! I don't understand why the lady didn't see them right there but after 1-2 times going back and forth, the employee at the register should've figured it out and seen them himself. Eventually she settled on some other item and moved on. He finally took my order and then I waited and waited for my latte. There was no one else in line but it took 25 min to order and receive my drink! The barista kept prioritizing drive through drinks and mobile orders. Well none of the mobile order people were there! But I was clearly waiting for my simple tall latte. Eventually I told them I needed to leave for work and either needed my drink or just never mind about it. And they made it. But I'm officially done with this place; 3 times with terrible service and unknowledgeable employees! read more

This Starbucks marks the halfway point of a commonly travelled route I've taken for the last 5 years. Over the last couple years, consistently the women's restroom doesn't have toilet paper and are pretty dirty. But coffee is important so I keep coming back. Today took the cake. I went to the restroom. No toilet paper and no paper towels. I informed the cashier, who told the manager...he said yeah we just got the shipment of paper products. Like he knew the bathroom was out of paper products. How are the employees using the restroom and drying their hands (no automated hand dryer)? Then the manager and staff start loudly discussing the poor quality of staff cleaning dishes.....including 'pumps that are left with dirty soapy water overnight' only to be realized during the first customer of the day. Starbucks you make me happy. Why. Because you can satisfy my thirst, hunger and caffeine withdrawal all in one trip. My favorite you ask? The iced green tea with natural sweetener. Ah yes. The Chicken Santa Fe sandwich, or the turkey pesto panini are so yummilicious. Calories? What calories? Yes they give you the option of getting your coffee or other caffeinated or decaf drinks with skim milk and other low calorie alternatives but....WHY. Have it all why don't ya. Think of me when your having your next triple hazelnut frappuccino , or when your pretending to be calorie conscious and opt for a tea loaded with sweetener and the protein bistro box instead. Yes you can even get yogurt and salad but that would sadden me. Instead! order the Chestnut praline latte with a cinnamon scone and then you will know what a sugar rush really can do for you. If you want fruit they have that too but banana bread is always a better choice :-). The staff is very friendly and their fast. Even on those days when the place is loaded with caffeine addicts they do their best to serve you with a smile. And even when the smile is missing they are still courteous and fast. This location is kept clean and you could always find an available table to sit at. I'm sorry, but people come in on their way to work. You want something and get back on the road. The management must schedule to prepare for that. There were 2 very new people working this morning, and 2 others that were not moving with any purpose. I ordered, waited, waited, asked them to speed it up politely, and then I left without getting my espresso drink. It's not even like I had a difficult order. You push a button twice, and put a lid on it. After 9 minutes, I had to leave without my drink and less 2.98. Yes 9 minutes...McDonald's can give you a meal in 6 minutes.
