This place is almost always super crowded, so on a very rainy weekday we went in for a late breakfast. The service was excellent, we were seated and served quickly and with the utmost courtesy. The coffee was hot, fresh, and strong. The blueberry lemon cornbread (seasonal) was better than it had any right to be, but it really is more of a dessert than a starter. My market skillet was full of fresh vegetables, cooked perfectly, and topped with beautifully basted eggs. My husband got the traditional breakfast, and said it was delicious as well. Nice restaurant with a calm ambiance. Friendly staff and good food. Very clean and quick service. I Ordered the Watermelon Wake Up, and it was so refreshing. Great coffee too. The elevated egg sandwich was so good. Very flavorful and huge. The skillet potatoes were also very good. I enjoyed everything. My friend ordered the biscuit with turkey gravy and she said it was delicious. I had been seeing this establishment pop up and decided to try it out. This has been one of the best breakfast I have had in a long time. We have the First Watch in Maryland but did not know there are seasonal menus that are great. The service was excellent. Traci was our server and did a phenomenal job. She was wonderful at describing the breakfast entrees and was always available. Now the food. We tried the million dollar bacon and loved it! The bacon was cooked just right and not overcooked. The million dollar bacon has a little bit of pepper and pancake syrup. The flavor was not too sweet and not too spicy. My breakfast was delicious! I had the seasonal steak and eggs hash. I was pleased to see there was fresh spinach with lovely potatoes, onions, steak, eggs, mozzarella cheese and a nice Parmesan cream sauce. I really enjoyed this dish. I usually only give five stars after going to a restaurant for a few times before giving five stars. Moving away from the food, the drinks are described as fresh squeezed with free refills, yet I saw my juice come from a fresh bottle Ocean Spray and when i looked at my bill I was charged an extra $4 for each refill. We happened to stop here after a walk at the nature park. The restaurant is clean with plenty of seating available. Its open for business as usual post the city removing the mask mandate. I ordered the soup of the day and the sandwich combo. The waitress was kind to double check that it was all vegetarian including the broth. My partner ordered the omelette platter with a french toast on the side for dessert. For drinks I got the morning meditation and it really looks like a cool morning in itself- see pics. Cute place didn't eat there I ordered take out Saturday 23rd of September & the food was amazing so good I reordered or Tuesday the 26th. It was like a completely different experience. On Saturday: I hate chorizo every chorizo I ever had has been was overcooked dried out & disgusting. On Saturday this place made me love chorizo it was spiced perfectly & not dried out. The Lemon Ricotta Pancakes was one of the best pancakes I ever tried at restaurant. The grits was dried out not creamy at all the cheese on top was a bit too much the potatoes was almost raw with a nice color both times. Even with the grits & potatoes it deserved 4 stars until Tuesday. On Tuesday we have to actually get out the car & grab our order because they didn't bother to bring it out because the staff was too busy laughing & talking to one another. we order the same thing... just removed the grits, add churros & different drinks but was totally different than Saturday. The potatoes still raw, the pancakes was disappointing actually the whole things was disappointing churros was hard & gummy. & I went back to hating chorizo. I am a huge first watch fan! They were able to seat 10 of us within 5 minutes of us showing up without a reservation around 11:30 am on a weekday. The food is always delicious, and my go-to is the market skillet hash. The goat cheese pairs deliciously with the potato and egg. I love the side toast and fruit as well. Pretty busy and poppin' place on a Sunday for brunch in Baytown. We got put into the waiting list that Yelp offers and maybe waited a total of seven minutes, so not bad at all. We had French toast, the quinoa power bowl, and the farmhouse skillet hash. French toast was a 3/10 for me. I didn't taste any egg at all, no light and fluffiness. It tasted like toast with syrup and preserves. The quinoa power bowl quickly picked up the slack with a 10/10 review. I didn't eat the mushrooms in it, but they were easy to pick out and share with my date. It was a great portion size and very filling. I had plenty of leftovers.
