I'm not sure what exactly the vibe was during my last visit but it was not amazing. I try to stay clear of this location however I was in the area running errands and decided to stop in for a drink. We already know Starbucks price point is high. For 6 bucks (and I completely blame myself for even going in here) my drink was made horribly and took over 20 min. There was a lot of staff behind the counter but I was confused with such a rush on a weekend why one person was only making drinks and they got no support until it seemed like people were waiting an outrageous timeframe for beverages. This was definitely a lesson learned. I will not return. read more

Was just "welcomed" with a rude customer service here. After blurting a question to this young lady with a super nice eyes, she immediately replied "Whatttt?!?!" and gave us a frowning face. I realized how stupid my question was when I asked if they have "Venti" since the menu was updated to show just Grande drinks. Not sure why Starbucks don't show Short, Tall and Venti prices now. Anyway, she answered sarcastically with "Well, obviously yeah." I left. I had the same industry experience in hospitality and never gave a fuss even during/after our busiest store hours and seasons, or even if we were understaffed (I know that sometimes happen). First of all, I dedicate all five of my stars to be absolutely wonderfully delightful staff that is always pleasant and warm, regardless of how many people seemingly pack in. I highly recommend if you're a morning person, to just order on your phone (there are often good deals) and run in to pick up. The breakfast sandwiches and snacks are great. To be honest, I find the breakfast sandwiches as a concrete protein filled sturdy breakfast while most of the other items have a bit too high of a calorie count for my liking. Well I haven't myself studied there. It does seem like one of the few Starbucks left that actually have tables and set ups where you can sit down and have the space to use a computer and a notebook and study or work. During peak hour, it can get a bit noisy, but there's always on the weather. Great seating and plenty of it outside. read more

Manager is completely ineffective and ever since their best employee Dime left the place is back to chaos. Twice I have had to abandon waiting for my drink in the last two weeks because the wait was over 20 minutes. Today I went in and there were two people working and the line was at least 20 people deep. Definitely don't recommend this location. read more

Just left the place. Cashier has no personality as a greeter and the female barista called out name so softly customers including myself hardly understood her. Another gentleman next to me asked if that was his drink, lady mentioned " is your name on it, if it is then it's yours". REALLY!!! .... Absolutely lack of customer service. Today was my first visit to this location :-) and I was pleasantly surprised by how fast the service was. I totally forgot about this location and I'm not mad I found it today. The parking lot is a little busy. But people don't usually park for too long so there is always parking available. I ordered a Cold Brew with cream and sugar. Nothing spectacular. It was also my first time ordering a Ham and Swiss Panini which I asked them to warm it up for me. It was so good. I have never ordered a panini from Starbucks but it was delicious! After a long cold and windy day at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, we were craving some hot drinks. After a quick Yelp search, I was happy to see a 5-star rates Starbucks nearby. Drove to this location, within the Rotunda Shopping Center and were surprised to arrive at this beautiful location, built mostly with bricks. Quickly made our way to the inside and placed out orders with a friendly barista. Party of 7 and our entire order, but some pastries, was correct and perfectly prepared. We approached the barista with the mistake on pastries and we was beyond apologetic and let us keep the extra pastries. Proceeded to enjoy our drinks, lemon loafs, cake pops and whatnot the patio area. All in all a pleasant experience on a beautiful location with excellent service. I live near this coffeeshop, but I prefer to buy from local coffeeshops when I can, so I don't frequent this Starbucks. That being said, I've been a few times when I've been at the Rotunda and MOM's isn't open or if the other neighborhood spots are closed. The baristas at this location are LOVELY. Seriously so friendly. However, they get really backed up with mobile orders at busy times of the day, and I didn't want to touch like 20 cups to figure out which was mine! So overall, it's a Starbucks, but one with a really great staff! read more

I had the worse customer service at this establishment from our cashier on 5/5/2022. I don't ask for much when I come into an establishment, especially one that is as busy as theirs but our cashier had the worst attitude. Not only did she not put the name on my order but she threw on it on the counter with another order as if they were together. As I'm standing there waiting for my order she comes over and asked what we were waiting on. I told her our orders and she fished through the orders she piled together on the counter and said " it's right here." I told her I have her a name. She gave no apology, she just walked away. I came in for a pick up order today and the girl behind the counter just looked at me. Didn't say hello, didn't ask me if I was there for a pick up, just looked at me. She finally said, coldly, and with more than a hint of annoyance, "Your name?". Seriously? This passes for customer service? Just awful. Please give your staff some training on how to be polite, how to be courteous, how to greet customers and say "hello". Anything would have been better than what I experienced today. read more

A lot of great things about this location except for the service. No drive-thru available but very likely am employee that will look at you to ask "Can you help me" long before they ask "Can I help you". Drinks are what you'd expect. This is the worst Starbucks in terms of service (for the most part) around the area. While some staff is pleasant, I've consistently received cold and rude service from employees for basic orders to the point where I just flat out don't understand. Even if you hate your job and/or are just having a bad day, you should never project that onto customers. Common Ground nearby is usually packed and not as easy to find parking but a gazillion times better. Or if you definitely need Starbucks, just drive a bit further north on Roland to the location next to Eddy's Market - much better overall. read more

Best patio of any starbucks I've been to. It's looks out at the Rotunda beautiful Baltimore landmark housed one of the first movie theaters in town. Now the theater has been restored and a modern Cinebistro Movies with Taste is there. But back to Starbucks, and their fun staff that's somehow alway remembers what you like to order. It's really clean and good places to sit and work. The parking is really EZ so a good Sbucks got the quickie. It's really close to the Avenue, the new foodie hot spot. Stopped in to get an iced tea and instead got an amazing espresso-almond milk-chocolate concoction that was out of this world. The staff was incredibly pleasant and I even had a great exchange with the barista about the superfluous use of straws despite the lid redesign which actually eliminates the need for one. This Starbucks really holds up to its reputation. Michelle and I stopped there for a few hot brews with our family. The staff was kind and very attentive. The drinks were made very quickly and whats most important, they tasted great. The store is beautiful and located at a plaza that was very nicely decorated for the holidays. read more

I will never go to any other Starbucks. This one is the best. I've gone to several Starbucks locations in East Baltimore/Towson area with a special request - no cheese on the pre-made panini. This location is the only one that prepares my son's sandwich as requested with a smile. I was very excited when this place opened up last year because it's much closer to where I live than the Roland Park Starbucks. This one is never crowded, and the clientele are much more interesting (and older) because it's next to Mom's Organic grocery store -- and NOT next to several schools. During warm weather months, you can sit outside and enjoy the peaceful environment, adjacent to a quiet courtyard and away from busy streets. This starbucks has great space, great and friendly baristas. They always have a smile on their faces and they interact with their customers in such a way that it feels welcoming. The space is pretty big compared to the one in Saint Paul St. which I highly appreciate so I usually come here to study or even just hang out. The drinks are very well made as well. read more
