I think what makes me so excited about this coffee shop...is that I feel seen. And I feel so seen in the community I grew up in Perry Hall. Upon arrival, you are welcomed by the lush interior design and comfort seating, because comfort is not to be compromised. The music is a vibe, the staff are friendly and welcoming. And there is plenty of seating options that are accommodating for folks wanting to work remotely or host a business meeting with their colleagues. Even if the coffee and treats are bit higher in price range, it makes sense given the usage of ingredients like cardamon or unique spices, this coffee is certainly a luxury for your day. I ordered the iced mufawar and it is light, delicious, and sweet. I also ordered the rasmali milk cake...WOW!! Perfect for a hot summer day, it brings me back to hot days in India. I need to bring my mom here next! I think places of improvement would be to make sure the music is in sync and not cutting in and out. Additionally, I think this cafe could include a community board so that people can advertise local business like tutoring or music lessons. I love a good coffee shop, especially one with a solid matcha menu. I happened to stumble across this spot while passing through and decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did. The space has all the cozy coffee shop vibes, with plenty of seating whether you're catching up with a friend, diving into a good book, or getting some work done. I'm torn on Haraz - first off, I'm glad we have something in the area besides Dunkin, Starbucks or gas station coffee. The vanilla latte I got was delicious and the syrup tasted like real vanilla. The pastries and other goodies look amazing too! But, it's expensive, like almost $10 for a latte expensive (charging $1 for almond or oat milk is ridiculous). And my god they're slow. I know it's pretty new so they're likely still working out the kinks but it shouldn't take nearly as long as it did to get a drink. Also, the parking lot is tight (not their fault of course), but it makes it a little crazy getting in and out of there. read more

I have been wanting to try Haraz after seeing all of their delicious Matcha options online. I finally was in the area and able to stop in. Beautiful coffee shop, desserts looked amazing. Great place to work if you're not noise sensitive however the matcha was absolutely one of the worst I have had. I ordered the peach cloud matcha and somehow paid for the biggest they had, the cashier didn't ask what size I wanted. Then when it came out I was very confused because it looked like coffee. I was telling the person that I ordered matcha it's no way this is matcha. They said the peach flavor turned it that color. I absolutely don't believe that because I have seen so many pictures of their matcha. I ordered caramel macchiato, base coffee tasted good, sweetness lingered for hours though! Friends said red tea was good too. Bee Bites - Soft, easy to pull apart buns filled with cheese, honey on the side or drizzled on top Chocolate Temptation - Delicate and light, just the right amount of sweetness. Mosaic - They have a couple of selections but pistachio was surprisingly good! It's like a soft chocolate bar/ brownie fudge. My fave among the 3. Can't tell if it's because they're kinda new that it was packed, but outdoor seating would be nice (if possible). If you are thinking of studying there, the noise level increases as more people come so maybe think about where to position yourself. Staff nice, area well-maintained, possibility of running out of silverware but they have plastic utensils out. Complimentary water available too. Ordered a saffron latte and a banana latte, an almond latte, an almond tart, a Dubai chocolate mosaic, and a mango milk cake. I have to say I was a little disappointed by the overall experience, although I have to give the mosaic a 10/10. The lattes were decent. I LOVE that they give you the option to choose the sweetness level of the drinks. However, now to the not so impressive; the almond tart had a date paste in the base (I THINK). It left too much to be desired. It was missing something, just not sure what. The mango milk cake was too sweet, and the mango tasted synthetic, so it wasn't all that. The ambiance was beautiful; I just loved the arabesque pattern and the Turkish lanterns. The staff was also nice. I really appreciate when staff gives you their input. Haraz is absolutely beautifully decorated and offers ample seating for guests to relax and sip. On this particular visit, I decided to order an iced pistachio latte. After a few brief minutes, my order was ready for pick up. Not only was it aesthetically pleasing, but it satisfied the tastebuds with a well-crafted blend of sweetness and the bite of the coffee. Stopped in for a matcha and there were lots of different "cloud matcha" flavors to choose from. I was told that some of the flavors like vanilla and pistachio are made with flavored syrups, while the fruit flavors are made with real fruit puree. I decided on the strawberry matcha and to my surprise, instead of puree it seemed like small crumbled pieces of freeze dried strawberry or something hard. The taste was fine, it just wasn't what I was expecting. It was also one of the most expensive matches I've had at $10.55. Service was ok. I arrived and spent some time looking at the menu since it was my first time, but wasn't greeted at all until I said hello first. This new coffee spot in White Marsh area it a great addition. From Turkish coffee and ice coffees to frappes and more, I love the variety of drinks they offer. There is a pleasant area to sit and relax with friends. The food items are tasty too - mainly desert items. The service was excellent but chaotic. However it was also packed with a line of customers with only 45 minutes till closing. They do open early and have a drive through which I am not sure if is in use yet as they had it closed with cones. Definitely worth checking out! read more

I was really excited to try this new coffee shop. I was excited for something a little closer to home instead of having to drive into the city all the time. I will say that the shop is really cute and has ample seating and standing room. The wait to get to the register to order was about 30mins. I ordered a mango matcha in a glass cup with a butter croissant. Was given my table number. My sister order part of her order to go and 2 items to dine in. My butter croissant came out in less than a minute. However the matcha came out about 10-15minutes later in a plastic to go cup. By this time the croissant was cold. When they brought the matcha in informed the girl it should have been in glass cup. She says sorry and walks it back but then returns and said they are too busy to remake the drink. So I asked for a manager. I informed the manager of the issue and noted that it was very unprofessional and lack customer service. I have been avoiding plastic for medical reasons so the fact that it was matter of fact approach made the experience very of putting. She did offer a refund, but i was so frustrated I just wanted to leave. read more

A new coffee shop in the Baltimore County and it's Yemeni...yes!! I've always felt like the city gets all the love with the best coffee shops but with the grand opening of Haraz Coffee House I can put that notion to bed. I popped in on opening weekend and although there was a bit of a much expected wait, everyone working ran the business like a well oiled machine. The interior had a modern decor with a very inviting space. Haraz' is definitely a place I could see myself catching up with with a friend over Turkish coffee or utilizing the space to get some work done. The staff was very friendly and helpful with explaining some of the pastries in the dessert case. So I opted for the Bee Knees pastry and a Saffron latte. Both items were very appetizing. Mami and I pulled up at opening Saturday morning. Food ratings then experience rating. We ordered the following: Pistachio Latte (Hot): 100/10 "best pistachio latte ever" Mami is a coffee fanatic. Bee bites: 10/10 extremely good. Eat only while warm. Pistachio Milk cake: 9/10 very good. Tres leche feel Mosaic Pistachio: 9/10 chocolate if very rich and not too sweet. Mango dragon fruit: 10/10 better than Starbucks in my opinion. Experience: As someone who was outside at door openings, there was already 8 people in line. It was rather peaceful ordering our things, but soon after things got hectic. Upon entry we were notified the oven was still warming up. This is where the build up started to occur and the line builds up FAST. The flow of the line of people that need to order vs where you can pick up you done items cross. Creates a hectic space of having to navigate through the line to get your items. Then there is a table smack in the middle of where a person should wait for their items. Then the buzzer system is a little flawed. I'll use us as an example. Buzzer went off for our drinks. I get drinks and then get told to come back for other items. Cool. But now the buzzer no longer works. I go back after a few minutes, the milk cake and pistachio mosaic are ready. After 8 minutes I went back up and had to speak up to get bee bites made. Despite a few nuances, their customer service sand quality is very high. They are a new opening so kinks are being worked out AND the hype around the place is immense and new. This is still during their soft opening so I expected a lot of mishaps. Seems like the staff is a pretty good team because I thought things went quite smooth. Staff members were polite. I came right at 9AM and by 9:30AM, the line was pretty long. This place will be the next hang out spot for sure! Bee bites 6/10: I don't understand the popularity with this. I love bread. It was crunchy on the outside. Warm on the inside. But the cream cheese inside wasn't melting? Odd. Of course the honey on the outside was delicious. Unique coffee place that has authentic Yemeni/Turkish coffee, as well as some delicious looking treats. Not a ton of parking so be prepared. There is a drive thru but it wasn't open when we went (they were newly opened). Lots of seats and well decorated. Cute vibes. Super friendly employees. Be sure to do some research on authentic Yemen coffee. Otherwise will be overwhelmed by menu and what's in your cup (spoiler alert - the bottom is full of grounds). You can get things unsweetened. We ordered a Turkish coffee and a Hurazi Mufawar unsweetened. Both were spicy and just a treat! Very crafty and full flavor profiles in both. We didn't try any pastries or treats but were very tempted. They are busy! You will get a buzzer after ordering as your drinks are made to order. They do have tables, chairs, and a bar area. Seems like opening day or weekend, so I'll have to return later to see what's different. Drive thru is still closed, so everyone and their sister was inside. The line was inside and wrapped around, which wouldn't be too bad except the doorway was blocked and I stood in line for almost 20 minutes. Only one cashier is taking orders and everyone else is just running around. The interior is phenomenal - welcoming, would be better to hear the music if not for the number of people crammed inside. I wish the building was bigger to accommodate more seating, for a quick dash in, there's just enough. Bar seating in the corner, tables of varying sizes and a sofa for those waiting. Now, the staff. NO CLUE what is happening around them. The food and drinks did NOT come out together. Even after my buzzer went off (I was trying to be polite by ordering to go and not take up a table for myself, but i should have), i continued to wait 10-15 min at the counter. Their tabbing system for the orders shows the number at the bottom, so all pastries are tilted up to read the numbers, smashing the pastries all over the walls of the container. So much for something looking nice. There's zero system for handing out orders that have been buzzed up. It got to the point that people simply started grabbing orders. A numbering system on the counter could be helpful to place orders together. For example, my pastry was ready, I was buzzed. Then I continued to waited for my Turkish and Harazi. She checked no less than three times before it was ready (about 10 min). The girl at pick up had zero sense of urgency and worked at a snails pace. She stayed calm, though. Kudos. Haraz is a new local favorite! We visited on a Saturday lunch rush and still received our items in a reasonable time. We tried a hot pistachio latte, iced salted caramel latte, almond croissant and a biscoff milk cake. Everything was delicious. The pistachio latte tastes super natural, not artificial. And we think there's a hint of cardamom in it. My favorite was the milk cake! It wasn't too sweet but the perfect treat! Service was quick and efficient. One of the workers helped clean off our table while our toddler was enjoying a pastry. I finally made it over to this gorgeous coffee spot! I absolutely loved their pistachio latte, you could taste the nuttiness from the pistachio- which I loved! Well, it happened again. I had to drive by instead of stopping in because the drive-through was closed and my kid is asleep in the backseat. I really like it here but the amount of times I've driven by trying to use the drive thru to get another delightful coffee only to be met by traffic cones blocking the entrance is sad. I have a little kid and I want to spend money and it's really hard to get him in and out of the car constantly, especially for a quick beverage that I don't want to explain to him. Having a drive-through is such a bonus for clients like me and I hate every time I have to choose to keep going because I would rather not get him out of the car or purchase three more things to keep him happy in the moment and ruin dinner. I know this is much more a me problem than a you problem, but I think I was just really delighted by the in-house experience I had with my kid and when I saw you had a drive-through, I was looking forward to much more future business and it's not as accessible as I had admittedly envisioned.
